A new elf was born in the woods where the Avalor elf's lived, as always this was celebrated with a big party and the parents were filled with joy. They had invited elfs from all the nearby woods and mountains and they greeted their guests with a small present. The mother of the child, Amnestria, was sitting under a bow made of autumn flowers and leaves with her little girl. She greeted everyone and when she saw the Sabinus Family come in with her husband she got up and walked to them. There, she bowed for the family and smiled. ''Welcome, it is an honor to see you here'' she said and with pride she showed her daughter. ''She is good looking and so small'' the women said and smiled, she held the hand of a three year old boy.

Amnestria smiled and bowed again. Theodemar, the father of Rimeth smiled. ''We will discuss politics later, lets first celebrate the birth of my daughter.. Rimeth Avalor'' he said and took his daughter from his wife. Rimeth, who was sound asleep, woke up a little and with blue eyes she looked at her parent and guardian. She made a few sounds and then turned her little head and saw other people.

"A very beautiful child!" a excited shout came from Eva Sabinus. She trotted over to the new born girl. "Rimeth?" She asked as if she hadn't heard it. "Seems like a beautiful name for a beautiful girl." She said smiling bringing her finger over to the hand of the baby. Shortly after, Jovian slowly followed over to examine the girl. Eva turned her head to Jovian, "Do you like her? Isn't she adorable?" She asked. "I guess so mom." He shrugged looking at Rimeth.

Jovian's father followed along, and took a peek at the newborn, then walked over to Theodemar. He stuck out his hand to his free hand, "Nice to see you, and congratulations. A beautiful creature." He bowed his head slightly, "Come find me outside when you are ready to discuss the next steps." Markos was a serious man, always ready to do business and get a task done. He wasn't a hateful or cruel man, but stern and serious. You could say, disciplined.

Rimeth took hold of the finger of the other female with her tiny hand and made some more baby sounds. Her mother smiled proudly and took her daughter from her husband and kneeled down so the young boy could see the girl a bit better. ''She is only a few weeks old,
so I can understand that right now you do not like her yet'' she said. ''Maybe my son would like to meet with you,
he is probably in the garden'' she said with a smile and pointed to the garden. Amnestria got back up and looked at her husband, she knew that there would be made a deal for her daughter, probably a marriage, and she only could hope for her daughter to grow up and like the person she would be promised too.

Theodemar followed Markos after he gave his daughter back to his wife and found him at the pavilion, which now was covered with leaves in all kinds of reds, yellow, some even orange-like and brown. ''Fall is one of my favorite seasons.. I am happy that she is born in this beautiful season'' Theo said and smiled. Theodemar had always been a positive man, he knew politics were necessary but he didn't really like it. He was one with a open heart and wanted happiness for his family members and subjects. ''Anyways.. The next steps as you said.. As you know, my son Sylvar is promised to the lake elves oldest daughter.. Rimeth doesn't have anyone yet so, if you have a suitor for her'' he said and stood near a pillar that was made of a oak tree.

"Girls are boring, I probably won't like her. I'm faster than all the boys. There's no way she can keep up with me." Jovian said proudly. When she had suggested to play with the boy he said, "Okay." He gave a small smile and trotted out into the garden.

Markos looked over to Theodemar, "I do have a suitor." He said looking over to Jovian and motioned his hand over to him. "He's a fine boy." He paused for a minute looking out into the forest, admiring the beauty. "Nature's last burst of beauty before it vanishes. A beautiful but sad time of the year. I prefer spring." He said putting his hands on the rail, covering the leave with his hand. "I think the elves of Udira would benefit from our marriage and alliance."

''He sure is a cute little boy, really confident that is good'' Amnestria said with a smile towards Eva. She looked over at the two males, fathers of both children and smiled. ''Avalon Forest will find a great ally in you'' she said and smiled. Rimeth was moving her hands and legs a little and Amnestria moved to a little crib and laid the little girl inside it. ''She moves a lot more than Sylvar did.. He quiet and slept a lot, which he still is'' she said and looked at Eva. ''Can I offer you something to drink?'' she asked and she waved to a servant.

Theodemar nodded. ''You are right, it is a season of change and beauty.. Every season has it's beauty. Spring gives new live to the world'' he said and smiled. He looked at the young lad that walked towards the garden to meet his son. Jovian is a nice boy indeed, he is confident and seems kind. We can arrange that indeed'' Theodemar said and nodded. ''We have time to discuss the rest later.. They are still young.. I would say that they come to visit each other once or twice a year'' he said.

“Yes, my husband doesn’t really give him any room to be less masculine, I suppose.” Eva said as she watched Amnestria settle in her new born. “Udira of the Wood would be a good ally to you as well.” She smiled. “Jovian was a feisty baby. He was always moving and fussing. Quite the energetic young man.” She paused for a moment as she listened to Amnestria, “Yes, I would like some wine please. That would be fantastic!” Eva loved wine.

“Thank you. I’m proud of my boy. I’m sure he’s going to make a fine gentleman.” Markos stopped leaning on the rail. “Let us head back inside to our wives and see what’s happening. We must depart soon.” As he motioned for Theodemar to follow beside him he shouted, “Come back inside Jovian!” beckoning him to come inside. “Thanks for letting us come visit, your plan for us to visit sounds like a good idea to me. I have no qualms about that.” He said as they headed inside.

Amnestria smiled as the servant gave them both a glass with wine. She hear how Markos called Jovian back inside and saw that Sylvar, her six years old son, followed him. She brushed trough his hair and he stood next to her with a soft smile. No one could doubt that Sylvar wasn't Amnestria's son, he was like a copy of her. ''I am afraid that Rimeth will be fussing a lot too, but she will grow up to be a fine young lady, that I am sure of'' Amnestria said with a smile.

Theodemar nodded and leaded them back inside, there he stood next to his wife and son. ''Our ally will only grow stronger with this decision. And we will come to visit you as soon as Rimeth is old enough to travel'' he said and held out his hand to Markos so he could shake it. Amnestria smiled and brushed trough her older son's hair, she bowed down and whispred in his ear: ''Time to wash up, dinner is ready soon.. And no tricks this time'' she said and Sylvar bowed politely to Eva and Markos and then left.

6 years later

Theodemar was on his way with Rimeth to Udira, the homelands of Markos and Eva Sabinus and their son Jovian. ''Rimeth,
come here.. That dress must remain clean'' he said and picked up his daughter. The young girl wore a soft yellow dress, not something real poofy because her mother gave up on that after a few years since the girl kept making them dirty beyond cleaning or teared them down beyond repare. He smiled at his feisty daughter and placed her on the horse he had taken with him. ''Are we there yet?'' Rimeth asked and looked around. Theo smiled and shook his head. ''So impatient.. I wonder from who you got that'' he said and laughed when the girl pointed her little finger at him.

An hour later Theodemar entered the courtyard of the Sabinus palace and was greeted by a few guards, one quickly went inside to notice his master. Theodemar helped Rimeth of the horse and let the horse be taken away by a stable boy. ''You know why we are here,
right Rimeth?'' the older male asked. Rimeth, who already was looking around with big eyes looked at her father. ''To meet Jovian!'' she said and giggled really cute. Rimeth sure grew up to be a joyful little girl, but also one with a mind of her own.

A knock thudded through the main door to their estate. ‘They must be here.’ He thought as he got up from his chair in the dining room. The warmth from the fireplace licked the air around Markos’s chair. It was a nice subtle temperature, the perfect spot for his chair. He headed over to the door and opened it.

“Sir, the Alavor family is here.” Said a young squire as he bowed. “Very well. Send them to the guest estate.” Markos nodded and dismissed the boy with a feint wave. The boy nodded and trotted off. Markos closed the door and walked over to his living quarters where Eva rested. “Darling, they are here. Get the boy and meet me at the guests estate.” Eva got up from her chair walking over to Markos. “Yes darling.” She said as she kissed him and then left.

Markos left his estate and walked over to where the Alavor family was going to be located.

Theodemar took Rimeth by her hand when he saw the squire return. ''Sir Sabinus will meet you at the guest estate'' the boy said and Theodemar nodded, he followed the younger male. ''Stay close young lady, you can get lost easily here'' he said and Rimeth nodded, the young girl now followed her father and the squire at a easy pace and didn't run of or anything. Theo had traveled alone this time because his wife was on her way to the Sashelas elf's that lived near the water side of the realm.

He saw his friend and ally standing together with his wife and smiled. Rimeth saw the other adults and suddenly she got shy, in stead of walking in front of her father, she started to walk behind him and when they stood still, she held onto his leg. Theo bowed for Markos and Eva and looked at Rimeth. ''Markos, Eva.. It is really good to sea you again'' he said with a smile. Rimeth peeked at the other two adults and saw Jovian standing next to his father. ''Rimeth.. Come on out, don't be shy'' Theo said. Rimeth peeked again and then did a few steps forward and bowed, keeping her skirt of the ground a bit. ''Thank you for..
having us over'' she said with a cute voice, she hesitated in her sentence because for a moment she had to think of what was best to say. She quickly searched for shelter with her father again and Theodemar laughed a little. ''She is shy.. but with a few hours she will crawl out of her shell.. Probably the moment that I allow her to wear her pants'' he said with a chuckle. By the word pants, Rimeth's eyes started to glimmer. ''I wanna play daddy.. Can i change to my pants?'' she asked. ''Not yet'' he said.

“I don’t want to be dressed up either.” Jovian said pouting slightly. Markos put his hand on Jovian’s shoulder, “We’re going to eat before I let you run off.” Jovian’s head hung after his father had said that. “Okay.” He grumbled. Markos laughed a little bit and turned to Theodemar, “Welcome to our estate. Follow me and we’ll get something for you to eat. It’ll give Jovian and Rimeth some time to warm up to each other a little bit.” He said as he walked towards a stone table outside. “Since it was a nice day I figured we’d eat outside today.” Markos said. “It is rather beautiful.” Eva agreed.

They walked over to the stone table and Markos’s servants brought out some food, setting it on the table. A moment later they brought out some glasses and drink, dismissing themselves once everything was in place. “Shall we?” Markos motioned his hand for everyone to take a seat.

Theodemar and Rimeth followed Markos and his family and Theo helped his daughter on her chair as she was struggling with it a but. "There, princess" Theodemar said and then took a seat himself. "I'm not a princess... I'm a hunter" Rimeth said, she looked at her father and was quite serious, which of course looked adorable. "You at my princess, and you can't change that" Theodemar said and shook his head a little. Rimeth smiled some and nodded.

When the servants were gone, Theodemar looked at Markos with a smile. "I'm really glad to be here my dear friend,
And if you don't mind, I would love to bless our food and hope that this will be the first of a lot family occasions" he said and Rimeth looked at her father. "But... Daddy? How are they family to us?" She asked, leaving Theodemar kind of speechless, he didn't know how to explain that to his six year old daughter.

Jovian ran over to the table and sat down, eagerly looking at the food. His mouth watered a little. He looked up at his father, then at Theodemar as he spoke to him.

“I’m glad you are here as well.” He nodded to him, “I don’t mind. Let this be the first of many meals we eat together.” He didn’t really care for formalities but it had to be done. This goes beyond his own selfish choices for personalties. He had his own people to take care of. He looked over at Rimeth curiously. She was young and probably didn’t understand what was going on. Markos had nothing to say. He smiled and looked at Theodemar curiously waiting to see what he’d say to his daughter.

Jovian looked around at everyone, wondering why they all sat quietly. His father had taught him why they are family. He slightly understood what was happening but didn’t fully grasp it quite yet.

Theodemar smiled at his daughter. ''You will understand it when you are older, now let's not let the other wait and eat'' he said. Rimeth frowned for a moment, clearly the girl was thinking and then nodded. Theodemar looked at Markos and then took some of the food and also placed some of the food on Rimeth's plate and then waited for the others the take what they wanted. The moment he saw everyone had food, he smiled and nodded at Rimeth. Rimeth started to eat from the fresh fruit she had on her plate and was smiling a lot.

''Jovian, I heard from your father that you started with sword fighting. How is that going? Theodemar asked curiously and looked at the boy. Rimeth looked up from her plate and tilted her head to the side as she looked at the boy. ''Swords are stupid...'' she suddenly said and then at another piece of fruit. Theodemar looked at his daughter. ''Rimeth, that is not nice to say.. Say sorry'' he said. ''Mommy said that I can say what I think.. Rimeth said and looked at her father. ''Not like that.. And I want you to say sorry to Jovian'' he said. Rimeth sighed and looked at Jovian. ''Sorry..'' She said, she clearly didn't wanted to say it but she knew she had no choice.

Markos watched as everyone started having their fill of food and started digging in. He listened to Theodemar as he spoke to Jovian. “It’s okay. I think my father is really good and fast.” He said as he quickly took a bite of food and started eating it. He listened to Rimeth make a comment of swords. He was about to say something before his parents had stepped in. Then watched her parents scold her. He took another fast bite of food and heard her apologize. “It’s okay I guess.” He grabbed a little bit of chicken and ate it.

“So what does Rimeth do with her spare time?” Markos asked as things calmed down a little bit. He took another bite of food after his question looking at the couple waiting for a response. “I’m curious as well.” Eva added in. She had been quiet for most of the day. She wasn’t a very talkative woman, one of the reason Markos adored her. She kept to her own, and her actions spoke louder than her words. Markos looked over at her and gave a smile before he ate another piece of food.

Theodemar smiled and Rimeth looked at Jovian's parents. ''Amnestria and the servants try to teach her how to embroidery and sow but.. She rather plays outside and run trough the woods'' Theodemar said. Rimeth nodded with a bright smile. ''When I am older,I am gonna learn to track and shoot arrows from a bow'' the girl said. ''She has my free spirit.. Somehow Sylvar took more after his mother and Rimeth after me'' Theodemar said and shrugged. He took some chicken and also laid some on Rimeth's plate.

Rimeth ate quietly and looked at Jovian from time to time. ''Would you like to go on a adventure after we ate?'' she asked and smiled brightly. Theodemar knew very well what that meant and looked at his daughter. ''Rimeth.. You promised your mother not to go on adventures this week'' he said. Rimeth sighed and looked down. ''I am sorry..'' she said. Theodemar looked at Markos and smiled. ''To her, a adventure means going into the woods and try to lose the guard as fast as she can and come home with thorn or dirty clothes.. We are not against it but sometimes she just needs to calm down'' he said.

“I shoot the bow too!” Jovian said excitedly and smiling. He listened to her father talk and kept eating. He looked up at her when he was asked to go on an adventure. His mouth came open but closed it when her father said something. He took a bite of fruit and watched them talk.

Markos laughed as Theodemar explained to him about her ‘adventures’. “She does sound like a free spirit, which isn’t always so bad. Harder to manage though.” He took a bite of food. After he finished chewing he said, “Jovian is somewhat tame, like his mother.” He wiped his fingers on a cloth napkin.

“He’s a good boy.” Eva added in pushing her plate closer to the center of the table showing she was done eating. Jovian smiled as she said that and took a bite of bread. Eva smiled back at him and took a sip of wine looking over at Markos. Markos looked back at her and smiled at her briefly.

Theodemar smiled, after finishing the chicken, he pushed his plate to the center and took a sip of his own wine and looked at Rimeth. Rimeth looked at Jovian with a smile. ''Do you wanna teach me?'' she asked. The young girl ate her bits of chicken and then took the napkin and cleaned her hands and her mouth. Then with two hands she carefully took her cub and drank some from the water she had gotten and smiled. ''This water tastes really good!'' she said with a bright smile and looked at her father, and then at Markos and Eva.

''A free spirit is indeed not a bad thing.. Though I do hope she will be more tame when she grows up'' Theodemar said honest and looked at Rimeth who pushed her plate slowly some more to the center of the table. ''Daddy? Can I leave the table?'' she asked. Theodemar shook his head. ''You can when Jovian can'' he said.

“Yeah I can try. I’m not very good yet. I’m a lot better with the sword.” He said shrugging. Jovian finished his food as well, taking a sip of water and standing up. “Father may I be excused?” He asked. Markos nodded. “Don’t go far.” He said and gave Jovian a look to let him know he was being serious. “Yes father.” He said turning towards Rimeth

“Let’s go!” He said happily motioning her to follow him. Eva watched him. She basically glowed. It was their first child and Eva was satisfied with her son. She loved being a mother. Markos looked over at Eva. Seeing her happy made him smile.

Rimeth looked at her father when Jovian told her to come, Theodemar smiled and nodded. ''Rimeth..?'' he said when the young girl was about to run off. ''Yes daddy?'' she asked and looked at her father. ''Listen to Jovian okay? He is gonna be in charge, he knows the surrounding better'' he said. Rimeth nodded. ''I'll be a good girl'' she said and then ran of to Jovian with a smile.

''I can't wait to start the lesson'' she said with a big smile, her blond hair was made in a bun and she looked at him with curiosity. The blue eyes that she had when she was born, had changed to a different more intense green color and she looked at the other elf with those, her eyes filled with questions and dreams.

Markos sat up from his chair signaling the servants to come clean up the table. “Would you both kindly follow me outside to the pavilion?” He asked rhetorically. “We might as well visit a little bit and let the young ones warm up to each other for a little while.” He said as he moved over and opened the door. A pathway led to the pavilion in the vicinity of where Jovian and Rimeth went to play.

Jovian smiled, “Follow me really quick.” He said as he ran to a spot where his bow laid. There was 3 of them. One of them of was a bow made for adult. The pull was too strong for Jovian to use. He picked up one of the bows and handed it to Rimeth. “Here.” He said. He grabbed his and took some of the practice arrows that laid there. “Let’s go!” He said smiling happily running over to a nearby hay-bale with a target on it. “Okay all you have to do is this.” He said as he showed her knocking his arrow on his bow string. “My dad says to point the bow towards the target. Don’t point it at me.” He said carefully.
