Greetings!

Just joined and I'm itching to write! These new Game of Thrones episodes do it every time. So I guess here's some stuff about me so you don't freak out and call the cops when you see a strange figure lurking in the corner:

First off my name is Matt, and I'm your master. ***FLOGS YOU***

Shit, are those sirens? Seriously though, I may seem odd but I promise once you get to know me you'll despise me. Back to the list:

I enjoy a vast majority of tasteful music that ranges from old-school blues and jazz to progressive metal to extreme metal. Examples include Albert King, Amy Winehouse, Symphony X, Nevermore, Orange Goblin, and about a million other things. I've taken to the "Postmodern Jukebox" channel on youtube. They redo modern songs into the old jazz styles and are really great.

I also enjoy Fantasy and Science fiction; especially time-travel. I'm such a time-travel nerd that I feel like an authority on the subject. Jupiter knows I've read and researched enough real science that I should be.

I'm a fan of anime, and my top three are Stein's Gate, Code Geass and The Legend of the Legendary Heroes. With Future Diary and Kenichi: The Mightiest Disciple and Fooly Cooly as three honorable mentions. And as keeping with the tradition of being an anime fan, if you disagree with my top-picks then you know nothing about anime and we can't be friends. :P

I live in a small shit-town and the only jobs worth having are factory jobs, which is where I work. 4 a.m. to 3:30 p.m Monday through Friday. So my posting schedule will be in the afternoons during the weekdays.

As for posting in forums, I've some experience but would say I'm out of practice. I used to post in Avariel back in the day, like in the early 2000's, before they turned into a music page. Which I still don't understand.

I smoke cigarettes, don't drink any type of alcohol because it tastes like shit, use profanity because I believe words are words and saying shit and poo are the same damn thing, love pasta, love to play chess, don't partake in cannabis, have a southern accent, single, no kids, have a great personality and humor, and occasionally like to take uppers cause it's awesome.

I’m not surprised to see your kind here. Many adventurers have traveled this way since the recent troubles had passed. No doubt you’ve heard about the tragedy that befell the community here at the Guild. Some say that the Guildfall, bane of role players, is slowly enveloping the community once again. I don’t know if I believe that, but I have noticed from time to time that posts or players will mysteriously disappear. They disappear without word and without notice, hidden by the leaders of our community. Maybe it’s nothing. But rumors and sideways glances seems to trail in their wake. You see, shortly before Guildfall had occurred similar disappearances were common as well and strange rumor began to ravage even the most common parts of the guild. But until more evidence is uncovered I’ll remain here within this community and so should you. You’ll find interesting role play ideas across all the various topics categories here on the Guild and a few of mine or ones that I participate in as well. However, I would make sure you save your own information before the shadow that fell over the Guild before the fall once again consumes us all. But if you’re still alive before then, I’ll be more than happy to accomodate any role playing needs you may have if I can.

You should talk to some of the others, too. Guildmod has sent you a PM package to add with your new arrival and there are any number of veterans who are more than qualified to answer your questions. Maybe they can tell you more.

'Kay, I'm finished with all the info in my New Member pack, and only have one question. So I'm guessing that the "interest check" section doubles as a sign-up for RP's? Or is there another section for that I've missed?

So the interest section is just what the name says it is. People who have ideas for role plays run it in that section to see how hyped the audience can get. It's not normally a sign up just if you're interested in something you tell the GM and then they note down your name for later when they are able to put up the actual thread where you can actually/officially sign up there (by submitting your CS sheet)
