However, before they could leave something fell from the sky kicking up a dirt cloud covering the area after the dust cloud cleared what appeared to be a a shrub with a purple fox like tail fell right next to Robert. Robert looked down at what just fell and looked at the shrubbery that fell down. Then to Norn, then back, then to Norn, then back, then he asked quite seriously if this happens often. A purple furry dragon like head popped out from the greenery with a few leaves which it proceeds to shake off.

"So your Barney the dinosaur falls from the sky and is vegetarian."

To which the dinosaur responded with.

"Well cause I'm also Santa and I'm against eating weirdos with no fashion sense."

To Robert replied.

"Ah good you speak my language."

Robert helped the little dinosaur up.

Kiba chuckled as he looked at the first digimon they ever encounter talking to the white haired boy. “Oh cool, hey look it's like a cute little purply dinosaur thingy.” He said as he bent down and poked the digimon through the shrubbery covering its body. “Waaaa, its fur is so soft.” He said petting its head. “Hey hey miss fairy, can I get like a dog one? Or maybe a birdy? As long as it's friendly.” He joked as he continued to pet it with a happy smile on his face.

The act of striding, standing, or even shivering with his hands in his pockets had become as natural as breathing. It added to his true, blue persona. He was always a lone-wolf that attracted attention; even back in the real world, avoiding others just seemed impossible. They latched on to him like magnets, they attached rumors and stereotypes to him that pushed him to fading away from them. It won't be the same here, he told himself, reminded of the calm-eyed boy's words. I'll start new here. Be, whoever and whatever I want to be.

He smiled lighthearted while sauntering behind Norn.

Then what started as a low rumble became a thundering boom. Hands still tucked in his pockets, Nowe lept back twice with all the grace of a lemur. When he landed and saw the intruder, Nowe felt himself tense up. It was a bi-pedal beast, covered from snout to clawed-paw by violet fur, accented with black stripes on its knife-pointed ears, little bat-like wings, and most impressive of all, a red gem in the center of its forehead.

Nowe furrowed his brow as the monster seemed to jibe with the white-haired kid. That wasn't a good sign for him, he truly hoped all the monsters weren't as wisecracking and annoying as the Kid. It didn't take long for him to find the monster no longer interesting. Instead of gawking he went back to following Norn's lead. Whether are not she responded to this creature's existence would dictate his next actions.

Before Danny could even try to grab one of the so called D-Terminals, another fight between the white haired boy and the masked one broke loose, Unlike before this one was much more serious and it seemed they were ready to come to blows, he didn't get a chance to interfere, as the brown haired boy and red, or he thought that hair color was called red, haired girl beat him to it. When Norn revealed the time difference between their worlds he wasn't as shocked as he could, be due to the whole being inside "a computer thing" and just assumed it was similar to when you over clocked a device. Yggdrasill having checked on each of them through the internet though caused him to blush and worry that their guide also had that info as he had visited several sites he was technically too young for.

Rather than ask he just grabbed one of the Terminals as Norn said she'd show them their Digimon. It didn't take long before the first one showed up, though he doubted it's introduction was planned. Danny was glad he wasn't too close to the white haired boy when the purple dragon fell on him, "I just hope that either my allergies don't exist here or that my partner isn't covered in fur." he said intentionally deadpan for the sake of humor.

Dorumon spent several moments confused as to what was happening to him. He laid there blinking looking out at the the people in the room and this was the first time they had met these people, but each gave off a certain feeling to him. The boy that was petting felt like a complete idiot, but had a silent unsaid respect for the kid. The kid certainly did have a silent strength to him shame that he was currently insulting him with his stupidity. He was a damn digimon that could tear his head off easily just coming in and insulting him like this was getting on his nerves. The next girl, the brunette. She was one of the only normal person here and she also seemed like a closet pervert. Where had that came from? Though to him she looks like the person who was also the most cautious of the group. The girl in the strangest clothing as it beat the other girl in how impossible it was, she also seemed to have a silent strength and his instincts were telling him that this girl was someone that needed to be protect. The boy in the cap seemed to be the other 'normal' person in the group. He also seemed to be pretty cool with the person. To him he seemed like the guy seemed to be a little slow on the draw. The final person, a mask boy a feeling of dislike came over him, but to him he seemed like a blind dog waiting to get kicked by the boot of reality. The there was his the white haired boy, rather Pineapple seemed to come up in his mind, he was someone who hid their best parts behind a spiked exterior.

Though after that little inner monologue he finally boiled over. He suddenly flipped around and hit him with his tail. Then scolded the kid.

"I am not a dog, I am a sentient being like you! This is I am not somebody's pet! Do you understand how offensive that is!"

Robert added in.

"Hey he's a bit slow on the up take, almost slow enough to grow moss."

Doru knew that was a silent jab at the masked boy.

"Though I think that's enough for now."

Doru looked at Robert and said to him.

"Fine, but the next time he does that, I'm putting him on a leash and throwing him in a kennel! See how he like it!"

Robert rolled his eyes.

"If you can grow longer limbs next time."

Doru looked at Robert.

"I'll give you that one."

Robert took his hand off of the D-terminal that was in his pocket and shrugged.

"One for me, zero for you."

It was Doru's turn to roll his eyes.

"And another one for looking like a total prick."

The two turned to the boy in the cap.

"Leave the deadpanning to us." They said in unison.

[Jurassic Weeb]

"Oh my, Dorumon!" said Norn. She showed a bit of surprise, but only about as much as if a next-door neighbor had dropped by unannounced. The exchange between the Digimon and the humans was… less than pleasing to her. "Please, calm down. This is a Digimon, a Digital Monster."

"Really? I think we all got what you meant with just the word 'Digimon'." Ryūko shook her head. "So anyways, we have to partner with one of these? Seems okay, so long as they don't snark."

Dorumon went wide eyed for a moment, how had that girl known her name? He thought about it for a moment, but then thought to himself that he used to know a guy who could find out just about anything. So there was more like him out there.

Dorumon, huh. Norn didn't speak of him as that close, there was definitely familiarity, but she seemed surprised annoyed that Dorumon and him was doing some good old snark to snark combat. He assumed Dorumon was one of the partners more specifically his partner since they were birds of a feather. But it seemed Dorumon wasn't from the castle, so where had he come from? He turned to Dorumon turned and met, Robert knew that was something Dorumon didn't want to talk about and didn't want anyone to know about or asking about it. As much as he was curious he said to the rest of the group.

"I'm pretty sure this is my partner and his sudden appearance was jarring, but shouldn't we move onto the others before people start getting jealous?"

Partners? Something lead him here to be partners? Dorumon asked in his own head. Someone like him should be someone's partner, not after... Dorumon's thoughts got interrupted by Robert elbowing him in the side.

"Work with me here..." Robert whispered to Dorumon.

Dorumon blinked once and realized that there was no other option. Rather Robert would take no other option.

"Um right, let's go." Dorumon managed to get the words out, to which Robert rolled his eyes for being the most lackluster response he gave, so far.

Robert turned and addressed the girl.

"Pretty sure the snark is part of the package, at least I hope so."

Nowe had never been one to rush things along but the urge to do so was intense. He wanted to adventure and explore, to see this, Witchelny, and all it had to offer... before it was too late. Despite Norn's reassurance, he just couldn't shake the feeling that this, the very world around him, his opportunity to live outside his father's sick shadow, would fade. For the first time, ever, his foots had begun tapping the ground impatiently.

Dorumon, was the beast's name. He couldn't bring himself to make any lasting impressions of him or her quite yet, but he had decided that he would work with the little monster. There was something, weirdly human about it.

"Can mine have extra snark if she's not using hers?" Kiba joked as he pointed back at the girl, before walking towards Nowe, “Ne ne, Miss Fairy let's go. I wanna meet the other ones.” He said, now excited to see what the other digimon look like.

[Jurassic Weeb]

For the first time since they'd met her, Norn actually lost her temper: "I am not a fairy!" For a brief moment her eyes changed from sky blue to a glowing red, and flames seemed to ignite on her head. In less than a heartbeat she'd reverted to her normal self. She cleared her throat. "Please follow me. If Dorumon is your partner, Robert, then your D-Terminal should react to his presence if he touches it." And so she led the way into the village.

"Oh, Lady Norn!" Once in the village the "dog" that Ryūko had seen bounded towards the group excitedly.

"Oh, good day, Labramon!" Norn said politely. Labramon came to a screeching stop just short of the girl, panting excitedly. Norn scratched the dog behind one of his ears. "Has anything eventful happened today?"

"Nothing yet, my lady," Labramon replied. He began sniffing at the humans, tail wagging as if he were a real dog. "So these're those humans that Agu and Wolfy found yesterday, huh?" He cocked his head to the side. "They smell funny."

"That's no way to talk about our guests!" Norn chuckled. Something about her tone seemed to agree with the dog Digimon's assessment of the humans though. "Anyways, we are here to determine whom Yggdrasill has decided to pair them with. Everyone is at lunch now, correct?"

"Yes, Lady Norn." He gave a dopey, panting grin to the humans. "I apologize for my rudeness. My name is Labramon, and I help patrol the borders of Nyttliv. Pleased to meet you all!"

[Shiyonichi]

"Yes. I'm Robert and I like to bathe in a tub full of money, I quite like the funny smell."

Of course Robert introduced himself in a smartassed fashion to Labramon and he wasn't the only one.

"I'm Dorumon and I enjoy killing potted plants and rolling in the remains to plant fear into the rest of them.

They raised their hands in introduction, though more of a paw in Doru's case after that introduction that shows off their wonderful personalities. Though after that Robert turned to his partner and taking out the D-terminal and payed it out flat on top of his palm reaching towards Doru. Doru looked at his partner then looked down not knowing if he really qualified for the job, but he remembered the last words of his old friend. He looked down silently for a few moments and put out his small T-Rex like claw and tapped the D-terminal. Of course the D-terminal reacted.

Behind the mask a kind smile appeared on his face at the sight of Digimon known as Labramon. It was cute, if not down right adorable. He knelt down as it came towards him after visiting two of the others. As if natural therapy, he felt a surreal wave of comfort overtake. A light sound came from his throat. "Hey there, Labramon. Its nice to meet you." he muttered, neither offering it a hand to shake or making any demeaning gestures. It was hard to resist, but the thought that might unintentionally offend the Digimon was prodding him. Keeping him in line.

Once he moved on to the next, Nowe rose to his feet, ignored the apology--for there was little to apologize about, and waited for there next move.

[Jurassic Weeb]

At first Robert's Digivice didn't do anything. Then it began glowing softly, heating up to near-unbearable levels. It first took on Dorumon's colors-- a purple-blue, silver-white, and black-- but then unexpectedly shifted to black and gold. Norn seemed a bit surprised, but said nothing before leading them to what was a surprisingly normal cafeteria... except for the fact that each and every person eating or serving food was a Digimon. As Norn and the humans entered, two Digimon stationed at the door produced trumpets and (somehow) blew on them.

All of the Digimon abruptly stood at attention. However each and every Digimon was shocked at the sight of humans... and abruptly charged the group, chattering excitedly. Really, it was like a group of children swarming the star of their favorite TV show or movie.

"Humans!"

"So the stories were true?"

"You owe me twenty bits for saying they were a fairy tale!"

The entire situation seemed a little ridiculous to Ryūko, but also absolutely adorable.

Robert and Doru gritted their teeth in discomfort at the heat then looked down at the now Black and Gold digivice. Apparently from looking at the mostly stoic Norn seeing a bit surprised meant that this color scheme meant something and she hadn't expected it to come to the two of them. Their minds thought of the vision they shared of a knight of black and gold and they now instinctively knew what that meant. It was a challenge and one aimed at them. A challenge that could be described in two words.

'Surpass me.'

Robert and Doru looked at the Digimon which Doru muttered something about children. Robert was rather not phased by it as the heir to Tomorrow Electronics and a rather infamous hacker people talking about him was nothing new, though it was pretty cute he must admit. Though Doru was glad the looks weren't aimed at him in anyway.

It was no surprise that the white-haired kid and his Digimon was at the center of the latest light-show. He wasn't as surprised as he thought he'd be, meeting talking dogs, a violet-furred beast, and worst of all, the sarcastic white-haired kid, had him on high-alert. Once it was done, his hand found his pocket once more and strode off after Norn. The one thing that had continued to surprise him was the quaint beauty of Nyttliv Village. Little huts decorated the area, often beside large earthen home, and trees of various sizes. The smell of pine needles, for whatever reason, was thick in the air.

It's pleasant here, he concluded. Much different from home.

Nowe glanced over at the walking chess-pieces. He had played a few games with his father before the illness and was absolutely giddy to see them brought to life. It was hard to hold it in; as the Digimon rushed them with excitement, Nowe found himself chuckling, laughing even. There was so much movement, so much activity here. He knelt down, speaking to a few. Some asked his name and it took him a moment to come up with one before replying. "Its Phase, how about yours?"

Conversations went on that way for awhile, until a little one, round and pink, without legs, but with long, ribbon ears exclaimed. "You'll save us! You'll save us!"

Phase stood up then, gazed into all their faces. Some were soft and round, others edged, creepy. A few resembled humans and plants, less so dragons and machines. "Sure I will," he reassured the small Digimon.

Kiba physically reeled at Norns outburst. "W-whoops. Sorry Norn!" he quickly corrected himself, as he began to follow the wing guide into town. As they walked he began to drift off into a trance. 

Of course she wasn't a fairy like in fairy tales. She was just a messenger ... With wings ... From a computer god ... Helping us 'heroes' ... Save the innocent. 

... How is she not a fairy? She has to at least be an angel right? Or whatever the digital equivalent was.  

As Norn led them through the village Kiba was broken out of his trance when they were led into what looked like a resteraunt, the whole room filled with fantastical beasts of different sizes and shapes. "Waaaaaa, look at these guys!!!" He said as he walked over to a group of in training digimon, sitting onto the floor and petting one, recieving a positive response. (Happy that there were digimon that liked getting pet) "Who would wanna hurt you guys" He said as tyhe in training began to jump onto him in excitement. "W-wait, stop that tickles!" He laughed. At the same time looking over to the masked booy (who he now learned was called Phase) and smiled at the sight of him and another in training talking. Neh, looks like he's not such a sour puss aftewr all. He thought chuckling

Of course they being who they were, meaning edgy antisocial teenagers. Both Doru and Robert stayed behind the group letting the others start playing around with the other Digimon. Rather they were more focused on the digivice Robert looked from bellow and the Black and Gold device, what could this do that made it so important? Surely it wasn't just a cheap method of playing hand held video games, though could he do that? Well Robert had hacked into military grade computers before surely he could figure out what a this thing could do. While both Robert and Doru was distracted a group of curious in training Digimon came up to them and jumped Robert causing him to fall to the ground.

"Aggh!"

The small Digimon dance around him in a circle causing Doru to snicker at the current misfortune his new partner was currently suffering in, not too different to what the lazy eyed boy did to him. While the small Digimon was currently dog piling him he managed to scream out.

"This was so much more funny when it was happening to you!"

To which Doru sighed and rolled his eyes.

"Well look who doesn't have long enough arms to put them in a kennel."

To which Robert responded over the screams of energetic Digimon.

"I'll give you that one!"

Doru looked at the current pile and the rather quaint place this was in, it had been like his hometown, before all that happened. It wasn't all sunshine like this place, but compared to the path that he had taken, it was much better, though he wondered if he and Robert would have still met if that was the case. Doru's thought where interrupted when a small plant like Digimon came up to him and asked him.

"Mister who are you?"

Doru stood there in silence as he didn't know what to say to that, he couldn't say anything to that. He was nothing. He had once wanted power, to be come the strongest, but that lead him nowhere, so he didn't have an answer to a simple and innocent question. Who was he? However, a voice answered for him.

"He's my partner."

Robert managed to get enough of the in training Digimon off of him though there was a pinks blob like Digimon with long floppy ears hanging from his neck and a orange fuzzy Digimon with a long horn resting in his hair. Robert declared again.

"He's Dorumon and he's my partner."

The appearance Norn took on when angry about being called a fairy again was the frist hint that she might be as dangerous as Danny thought she could be. Oddly enough this made him doubt her less, after all there was zero reason to show it if she was luring them into a some kind of trap.

while some of the others flocked around the admittedly cute Labramon he made sure to not to get to close to walking collection of fur. Still there was no need to be rude so he decided he should at least greet... him, her, it? "Nice to meet you."

As the group came across the Pawnchessmon Danny wondered if one of them was his partner, he sucked at chess but they looked somewhat cool plus they weren't covered in hair. However aside from blowing on trumpets somehow nothing they did nothing noteworthy and the group entered what turned out to be a cafetaria.

The Digimon there immediately the humans, something which made him rather uncomfortable as Danny wasn't used to being the center of attention. Not helping matters was the small yellow blob with a foxtail jumping almost straight into his face and proving that his comment about allergies when meeting Dorumon wasn't a joke. He started sneezing uncontrollably and tried to gently but quickly put the little creature down.

Doru looked at Robert, before he could say anything Robert ended up getting jumped again by a pile of in training Digimon which looked like he was getting hit by a torrent of small blobs, though it seems there were even more that before. Robert managed to shout out something along the lines of oh not again as he fell. To which Doru just stared on in silent amusement.

"Aren't you popular?"

Dorumon said to his partner.

"For hells sake, help me already!"

Dorumon looked around the room for something he could use to get the little children off of Robert and really he didn't have much, he could ask Norn, but then he saw Kiba also getting swarmed. It wasn't to the level of Robert, but still... It was time for some payback.

"Hey you brown haired sleepy eyed kid in the hoodie! Can you come over here?"

Dorumon's silent evil plan was for Kiba to come over to the group and the swarm on Robert to transfer over to him, causing him to suffer! Doru held an evil laugh in his heart.

“Hey you brown haired sleepy eyed kid in the hoodie! Can you come over here?" Kiba quickly turned around away from the in training digimon he was playing with.

The purple fox dinosaur was calling him. … Why? Kiba was pretty sure the purple digimon didn't like him after he petted him last time. Maybe he was still mad? Kiba then noticed that Dorumons partner, who he still had no idea the name of, was covered in a small army of in training digimon. Ah I see. He's lonely. His partner is busy playing and he's bored. “Ne ne everyone, listen for a sec.” he gestured to the small digimon around him. “Help me out here. I need you guys to (whisper whisper whisper) over there.” He said as he pointed to Dorumon.

The baby digimon nodded (or looked like it) and began marching towards Dorumon. The small adorable army pouncing onto Dorumon in a frenzy of tickling. “Have fun buddy.” He said in a chuckle as Kiba stood up and wandered around to find different digimon to play with.
