Liz woke up early in the morning, today was the day, she was getting her first badge. She ate a good breakfast of pancakes and bacon, changed her clothes to feel fresh and finally some shoes. She made her hair was at least presentable and when she was happy, she walked over to the gym. She walked into the building with an abundance of drama.
"Where is the midget?? I want my rematch!!" She said to the people working there.

It was another busy morning at the Sunsay gym. Trainers were battling their hearts out. At the back of the gym an intimidating man watched over everything. When Liz bursted through the doors, most people didn't pay any mind. The large man in the back did take notice though, if only for a second.
"Hey ugly!" The little girl known as Lisa had heard her call. "Are you ready for another beating?"
As far as today goes, I'm available on Showdown until 4pm. Just give me a time, and I'll be there. :)
Lisa stood no chance against Liz's improved team!! Hephaestus had a rough go against her Qwilfish, and was defeated fairly fast. Liz than decided to bring out her power house Chloris and took out Lisa's first pokemon with a massive blow. She responded with Snorunt, who was poisoned by Chloris before Liz switched to Arachne. After a couple of infestations and being poisoned, Snorunt fell before the onslaught. Next was Lisa's power house, whom in the last battle decimated all of Liz's pokemon, Heracross. It seemed like the Pokemon was going to try it again and smacked down poor Arachne. But with Phoniks now stronger than the first time, Liz knew she had that badge. The Murkrow pecked away at the big bug, and before she knew it, she had won!! The little girl recalled her last pokemon, looking defiantly at Liz.
"It was a good battle, I just improved a ton!! Now where is my badge if you don't mind??" She asked Lisa.

Lisa was baffled at how much Liz had improved over such a short amount of time. She didn't want to admit it, but she was begging to look up to her competitor (not just literally anymore). She would never say as much out loud though.
"So what you beat me!? I'm just a kid you meanie! There are people much stronger than me that come to this gym." Lisa stuck out her tongue and pulled down an eye lid.
"Now now Lisa. Show some respect for our visitor." It was the man from the back of the gym. "I'm sorry, please forgive my daughter. She is a handful, but we love having her around here. Please, take this." The man handed Liz a simple yellow badge.
"That is the Sunsay badge. With that badge, you can now train at the Sunsay gym as much as you like. Lisa did make a point, there are lots of strong trainers here for you to battle against. Also, that badge is one of the seven badges you'll need to collect if you want to challenge the Grandium League Champion... Now that you have a badge, you'll have to earn your next one against a higher ranked member, when you find the next gym. I believe the closest gym to this location is in (Town #2). Do you have any questions? Or have I already bored you to death?" His smile was very genuine.
Liz received your first badge! You can find this in her stat sheet as well.
Liz graciously accepted the bright yellow badge. She spun around and held it high above her head with her pointer and middle fingers. She planted her feet and brought her arm down to chest level. After a moment she shook her head to herself and laughed.
"Sheesh, that felt dumb, never doing that again. Anyways thank you for the badge. And Lisa, your a very strong trainer, I wouldn't be surprised if you owned this gym one day. But until that time, remember we are tied at one win each, next we meet we will have a tie breaker ok?? Just don't expect me to be so easy to defeat, and I want your all got it?? By the way, a fellow trainer named Rin will stop by here one day, don't go easy on then understand??" Liz bowed one more time and stopped at the Pokemon center to have her Pokemon taken care of. While she waited she ran to the pokemart and bought three great balls, and two more pokeballs, just to be safe.
After she was done shopping she picked up her Pokemon and decided that Rin wasn't coming after all. She sighed inwardly, disappointed that her rival didn't show up. Liz turned with a dramatic flick of her hair and head towards Route four.

Liz left the main parts of Sunsay Town and arrived at the docks of Route 4. There were many merchant ships loading and unloading at the north end while passengers boarded ships on the South end. Alive and busy, that was the only way to describe this mid day scene.
Just north of all this madness though, Liz would be able to find a nice beach. This is the common spot for trainers to hop on their Pokemon and attempt to navigate these fast waters using Waterfall.
I've added descriptions for Routes 3 & 4. I've also expanded a little on the Pokemart. Specifically, I lumped in HMs with TMs. FYI, if you were to purchase Waterfall, it costs 13 TP.
Oh, and I also gave you a TP bonus for beating Lisa! (4 TP)
Liz wondered the pier for a bit, wishing she had enough to buy a fishing rod, sadly she needed money for pokeballs and had just enough to cross the river on the ferry. She looked at her new badge one last time unbelieving that she had won. Now to work her way to the next gym, she found the ferry that was next to leave and walked up to buy a ticket. She shelled out the money for the ticket and boarded the little ship.
"Time to get going, let's take an other gym!!" She said to herself.

The happy boarding attendant accepted Liz's money and gave her a temporary pass. On board the ship, Liz could see people from all walks of life. Families, elderly, and even young trainers like herself.
Everyone seemed to have found someone to talk with, everyone except for a lonely looking fellow that stood at the nose of the deck. Onward, he looked out to the sea. If Liz felt like talking, this would be the person to do so with.
The guy at the nose of the ship has information about the next town and the next area in general. Have Liz speak to him if you are curious. If you'd rather Liz just learn first hand when she gets there, then don't worry about it.
Liz wondered the ship as it crossed the beautiful water. She walked up to the nose of the ship wishing she had got a fishing rod. She saw a gentleman alone staring at the water. She didn't usually talk to people but something told her that this gentleman was knowledgeable. She leaned on the rail a small ways off and turned to the man.
"Hello, I am Liz, I am a trainer on her first adventure, how are you today??" She said to the man.

The man seemed rather unremarkable in appearance, but it soon became evident that he had a unique personality quirk. He liked to talk, and at length. More than that, he was a huge perv. He went on and on about the beautiful Professor Rica, and her physically stunning body. It was no wonder he was standing alone. The average person probably wouldn't be able to stand any more than two minutes of conversation with him.
Despite the man's quirky personality, Liz did learn some pretty useful information:
Every Section of this Region has its own professor, each studying the area's diverse Pokemon wild life, as well as a more specific area of science.
Check out the new Yanso Town hider in the 0th IC post. There you'll find all the useful info he spilled about the town and the professor.
Liz felt lucky that the boat had finally docked, after talking to man and hearing his creeptastic obsession over professor Rica, Liz felt dirty enough to want a shower. She hit the local PokeCenter and was disappointed to hear there was no gym or Pokemart in town. She didn't stay long, not even to visit the professor. She made her way South for the next town and new Pokemon. As she reached the edge she noticed that she would be traversing a desert, it was at this time she wished she had a water type pokemon to help keep her cool. She took her first steps towards the next town.

Liz was ready to leave the town when she heard it, the loud distinct sound of a building crumbling down to the ground.
Back in Yanso Town square, a man stood proudly beside the building his Exadrill had just destroyed. A few people were badly injured trying to escape, but luckily, no one lost their lives.
"What do you want?" Shouted an elderly man.
The rough looking man shouted back, "Get your hearing checked old man! I already said! I want to fight against the strongest person in this town!" His shouts were more toward the entire crowd than the elderly man. "Whoever you are, get out here! I'm going to keep knocking down buildings until you either come out or I get tired! What'll it be!?"
If you choose to turn back to battle this man, it will be handled like a wild Pokemon Battle (dice rolling). You'll have to defeat his Lv 30 Exadrill.
Or you can choose to leave these poor citizens behind. (You meanie)
Just as Liz reached the edge of town, a loud explosion sounded. She turned and saw a man with an Exadrill loving it up. He threatened to keep destroying buildings until a strong trainer battled him. Liz looked off to the desert, she really should be going, this isn't her problem. As she turned away she stopped and thought about if it was her town. She sighed annoyed and turned around and went walking back to the man.
"Look, I am not from this town, but I can't let you destroy it. For this town, I guess I am going to have to defeat you, please don't waste to much of my time, it is annoying. Come on out Chloris, let's make it quick, show me Magical Leaf." Liz was bored before it began, but someone had to stop this fool.

The man was just about to sick his Excadrill on another building when Liz showed up. At first, the man wanted to laugh in her face; where did this little girl get her bravery from. That's when she sent out Chloris. He could tell that this Pokemon of hers had some power, for sure. His prayers had been answered.
"Alright girlie, let's do this! Excadrill, use Dig!"
Excadrill shot downward into the ground, at an impressive speed. This effectively allowed it to avoid the Magical Leaf.
Excadrill will pop out of the ground and land a hit. Chloris looses 8 Power. He now has 20 Power left.
The man's Exadrill barreled under the ground, cutting off Chloris's magical leaf. Liz knew he would effectively continue this until her poor pokemon was defeated.
"Listen up Chloris, if the Exadrill goes under ground again, close your eyes and feel the vibrations with your feet!! When it surfaces hit him with poison powder!!"

Exadrill surfaced and hit Bayleef pretty hard. Then, without hesitation, the man called out his next order, "Excadrill, use Metal Claw!" In a split second, Excedrill's claws began to glow with a silver light and slash at Chloris from close range. The metal claws dug into their opponent. The battle was over in an instant.
As Chloris laid there unconscious, the man called out in victory, "Haha! How pathetic! You're Bayleef is one tough customer. Too bad his trainer sucks. But you've satisfied my appetite for today. I'll leave, but remember this name, Jackson the Destroyer, of the Brawlers!" With that final declaration, the man known as Jackson skipped backward for a moment before mounting a motorcycle and driving away.
Bayleef looses 24 Power to the massive attack. Bayleef is defeated. Be careful, you're Poison Powder wasn't just week against Excadrill. Excadrill is immune to Poison-type moves. In other words, if you would have gotten a lucky roll Excadrill still wouldn't have lost any power. (See Excadrill's immunities.
◇◇◇ They/Them Pronouns for When Referring to Rin. Thank You! ◇◇◇
Rin was starting to get at their wits end. "Oh, come on! You don't even have any moves!" The frustrated trainer yelled at the Smergle as they stomped their left foot childishly. Osajyin just looked around awkwardly. The Smergle was staring at him again with those eyes. Those bold eyes were judging him. It was getting a little comfortable for him to hold his gaze, but guilt kept them looking back. Unaware of this tension, Rin ran a hand over their face with a sigh. "You know what to do, yeah?" Osajyin broke eye contact with the Smergle again, but this did not end the other's attempt at a staring contest. "Right?"
Liz flicked her hair in fustration. The man named Jackson took off on a motorcycle, Liz recalled Chloris and stopped at the Pokemon center. After her Pokemon we're feeling better she once again made her way towards the desert, she lost so much time again. She was sure she would see that jerkoff on the bike again, and next time he was going down, and than she was taking him to the police for his wanting destruction!!
Bayleef reared back to unleash a strong Razor Leaf, but for whatever reason, he decided to look away from his target. He seemed lost in thought as he looked over toward his trainer. The Smeargle took this opportunity to grab the leaf on Bayleef's head. He then pulled Osaja closer and tilted his head slightly, never breaking eye contact.

At the edge of town, more trouble was stirring. Even from a distance, one could here the sounds of glass breaking and car alarms going off.
The culprit this time wasn't a human, but a naughtyMienfoo (Or should we say MEANfoo)......
Anyways, this Mienfoo had only recently learned the move swift, and was just testing it out... on cars. She smiled every time a windshield would break. The sound was like music to her ears.
Liz can't catch a break when it comes to finding mischevious individuals. Sometimes it's a person. Sometimes it's a Pokemon.
This naughty Mienfoo is at Lv 21. Will Liz stop her? Maybe even catch her?
