"You need to stop."

These were the only words spoken by Rose in her time atop the roof of the wharf. She had been spending her morning in quiet meditation, watching one of the merchant ships sail along and eventually dock. As usual, she could never truly sit in quiet. The god in her head was always there, always whispering. Give up control... Let me take over... She shakes her head, trying to clear her thoughts the best she could. She tried focusing on the cold, the way her scarf and hair swayed in the slight breeze. She focused on one of the dockers on the ship. She focused on anything but the voice in her head telling her to give up her freedom.

Her bright white/gray eyes twinkled in the sunlight, though her brows were furrowed in concentration. It took all her willpower at every moment to keep the voice contained.

Hanjaro stepped off the deck of the ship and on to the dock with his spear and his belongings in a sack over his shoulder. He turned back to the captain of the vessel, put his hands together just under his chin and lowered his head in thanks for passage on the ship. Hanjaro then spun on his heels and proceeded to walk along the dock. He reached into his pocket and pulled out a gold coin and flicked it over his head towards the ship. It landed right on the captain's hat, an impressive throw indeed! The captain took off his hat and shouted his approval to the strange passenger, only for him to have disappeared into the crowded market place next to the dock.
The market place stank of fish, this market place was clearly used to sell goods from the sea he had just traversed. He didn't mind the smell nor the taste of fish but it was inescapable. He continued to wander through market place for a few minutes and as he got further away from the dock the smell of fish lessened. He was looking for a tavern or place to stay to use as his base of operation for his investigation. He made his way further into the marketplace but couldn't find anywhere. He came across a stone building with a ladder leaning on one of the walls and decided he may get a better view from higher ground. He struggled up the ladder with his spear and his bag and came across red tiled roof. Only, he wasn't alone. He gently put his back on the roof and grasped his spear in both hands, waiting for the figure before him to notice him.

Rose eventually sighed, lowering her head. As disappointing as she was, she often wondered if she should just jump in the water. The dark armor she had on would weigh her down enough to let her drown. At least then, she could have some peace and quiet.

But as usual, she dismissed such thoughts as fast as they came. With her luck, even in death she would hear the endless onslaught of nonsense in her head. "Can you just shut up for once?" she wondered aloud, wishing for once it would work. But of course, this only fueled the unnamed god's rage within her. "Someone is here. Murder them and drink their blood!"

Rose had no intentions of cannibalism, but nonetheless lazily looked over to the stranger accompanying her on the roof. She awkwardly stared at them, debating whether or not she say hello, or ignore his presence. Should she say hello, her mind would undoubtedly explode in a frenzy of bloodthirsty thoughts.

"Surrender yourself, and let me gouge out his eyeballs!"

Hanjaro was slightly caught off guard by the presence of someone else on the roof. He wasn't used to 'behaving' in a city and was aware that the best place to get a feel for where you were was by climbing a rooftop and getting a better view of your surroundings. Not very often did he come across company whilst on a roof.
"Hello, I'm Han. I'm just looking for a good view spot," he said in his usual gruff tone.
"Why are you on the roof?" he asked blunty.

"I just like watching the merchant ships dock," was her simple answer.

She wasn't completely lying either. She did enjoy watching the ships, enjoyed the way the sails caught the sunlight and lit up the the entire sky. Even if her main reason was for peace and quiet, the sight of the ships calmed her. Mentioning a rogue god in her head was probably not a good first impression.

"Just kill him already."

"If you are looking for a proper view, you certainly succeeded."

The view indeed was impressive. But Hanjaro wasn't looking for a good view.

"Are you from around here, miss," he asked the young girl. He was looking for someone and wondered if this girl could help.

"I would pay handsomely for a guide."

"Well if you are looking for a guide, you probably found the wrong place."

Rose had a horrific sense of direction, due to being prone to getting distracted. She probably knew even less than this stranger did. Not to mention, Rose may have the body of a 18 or 20something year old, but has only had control for a few months now. Mentally, she was incredibly young and easily overwhelmed. She was horrified at the idea of getting them both lost.

Despite her lack of interest, Hanjaro persisted. There was something different about this one.

"This is my first time in this country. Please help me and I will pay you well. I believe people will be less suspicious of my presence if I'm not alone," he offered the girl. He would persist no further than this. He reached into his bag and produced a small bag of silver with no more than 20 silver. He held it out to the girl and said softly,

"It's yours if you help me."

"Kill him and take the money anyway."

Rose shakes her head at the voice, biting her lip. She had no reason for money, and no reason for killing.

"I don't want your money. I'll be your guide, but don't expect anything spectacular." With that, she turns away again, watching as the recently docked merchant ship slowly turns and heads on its way again.

Somewhat relieved to have a guide through this busy market city and to have some cover if needed, Hanjaro dropped the bag of money at her feet.

"Take it. You'll need money to buy food," he said. Though it sounded blunt, he meant it in a nice way. She did look somewhat thinner than a girl of her age should look and she possessed a somewhat dishevelled look.

"I'm looking for a merchant who frequently wears wolf skin garments. I'll wait for you at the bottom of the ladder," he informed the young lady, as he attached his double sided spear to a clip on his back and slung the bag over his back. He slowly descended the ladder, keeping his eyes on the girl, there's was something strange about her, the feeling like she was never alone surrounded her and she seemed... detached from the rest of the world.

Rose spends maybe 5 or so minutes watching the boat drift away before eventually just leaping off the building without a ladder. She hits the ground nimbly, landing directly on her feet. Her eyes lazily drifted around, almost looking as if she wasn't completely there. The look of someone possessed, someone who was merely THERE.

"Well first off, this is the market district. As you can see, the wharf is over there, and then the goods are brought over-" she spins on her heel, pointing to the multiple stalls of the district, "there."
