Name: Alexanda Connolly
Super Name: Dynara
Appearance:
Powers/Skills:
Psionic Energy Manipulation-Psionic Strength/Endurance (Psychic enhancement of strength and endurance.)
-Psionic Combat (Alexanda can equip parts of her body, mainly her hands and feet, with destructive psychic energy.)
-Psionic Blasts
-Barrier Generation (Construction of shields from psionic energy.)
-Neurocognitive Deficit (Ability to cause unconsciousness by temporarily shutting down an individual’s brain functions. Alexanda can only achieve this when she is less than two feet away from the individual.)
Equipment: A pair of blue-tinted goggles that hide her face when she is in costume.
Weaknesses: Alexanda's strength/endurance enhancing abilities are concentrated on making her immune to the effects of her own destructive psychic energy, and do not passively protect her from external attacks without sufficient focus. Overusing her abilities will exhaust her both physically and mentally, and there is a possibility of her totally passing out after a couple of hours of continuous use of her powers.
Origin Story:
Having lost her father at an early age due to an incident involving a rogue mutant, Alexanda was raised by only her mother for most of her life. Growing up, she was aware of the resentment for mutants which her mother had developed due to the aforementioned mishap. This caused her much distress when she discovered her abilities at fourteen, and not wanting to face her mother, Alexanda eventually ran from her home and out onto the streets.
She was not out there for long, however, thanks to her being at the right place at the right time to stop an attempted kidnapping of a little boy no older than five. The child’s parents, who were of course, grateful for Alexanda’s heroic act, were distraught to learn that the teenage girl did not have a home and readily took her in.
Alexanda managed to finish school, living contently with her new family before she decided to take a chance at becoming a startup entrepreneur by working on metal art sculptures and home ornaments. However, tragedy befell the family when the couple was killed in a plane crash on the way back home some years after, leaving her as the guardian of her adoptive brother whom she took to live with her in her own flat.
It was only after the siblings’ devastating lost that Alexanda was reminded of how she had lost her biological father all those years ago, and was motivated to prevent such tragedies as much as she could by protecting others as a hero in costume.
(She falls under the 'mutant' category, basically.)
