I'll either make an anti-social jackass or an habitual liar. They're both only vague concepts right now anyway, so if you've already got a character ready I'll just take the latter.

I might need to change the Digimon I was planning though; the idea I have is better suited to the jackass.

Bio: If anyone could embody the number Two, it would be Carter
Carter was born to an american military family, the middle child between two daughters. While him being the only son would make him stand out, it did little to help him stand out among the three. He wasn't the smartest, nor physically gifted. He was quick to find out that he could gain attention by changing himself to suit people's needs, making as many friends as possible to fill in in that emotional hole in his heart.
Growing up, Carter was just shy of everything. As he grew, he found that his life was still hollow. He valued some of those friends more than others, creating a divide between the real friends and the supplementary ones. He couldn't replace emotional connections with many faces. Graduating, Carter had nowhere to go, but he didn't meet the requirements to follow in his parent's foot steps. He took whatever odd jobs were available to him, but always gravitated towards the skies. He wanted to fly, to soar at intense speeds. If he could just take one thing for himself, it would be to be a pilot, but Carter always knew better than to hope too much one something.
Personality:After spending his teenage years molding himself this way and that to make as many friends as possible, Carter knows a thing or two about people and how they work. While its certainly true that he learned his lesson about manipulation and change, all of that time dedicated towards being a jack of all trades has certainly left a mark on him. He's an optimist, always hoping for the best even though he rarely gets his way. If someone is happy, he's happy, and he's okay with that.

Chip the Terriermon

Name: Chip

Personality: Chip, despite his small size and easygoing nature, yearns for battle with a partner who shares his view. Carter might not have been the best candidate, but they get along much better than a person who would better fit what Chip considers Ideal. Fight the good fight, but enjoy a good snack and a long rest when you're not on the field. While Carter is busy making friends with every other branch on a tree, Chip consider's himself more a thinker's Digimon, assessing the problems ahead and trying his best to work them out without having to sacrifice a potential fight. He gathers and picks up much of what passes before his eyes, and rarely forgets things, no matter how useless the information is. Maybe he just wants to crush some stuff sometimes. You just gotta let it happen or suffer a grumpy Plush-like Rookie Digimon.

A few questions.

Is a human required, or can you go with a solo exposition based digimon. That's obviously going to be massively disadvantaged for the lack of a trainer.

And what gens of digimons are available?

Be it the three slots for actions on the cards, the use of a very limited number of attacks by any individual Digimon in the various anime, the use of the signature move slot in various video games (not so much the Digimon Story games on the DS, but more the earlier Digimon World games), and things of that nature.

Ok, not a problem. I'll stick to that number of techniques per stage.

Really though, any information like that should be in the template. I've only watched some of the anime series and that's it; Adventure, Adventure 2, Tamers and Savers. Even in a fanon RP not everyone is going to know all the details of the expanded canon.

@King Cosmos Yeah, I was just mentioning a bunch of sources because not everyone has access to the same ones. Even then, In Adventure, 02, and Tamers, how often do you really see Digimon use more than one Technique is all. (I can't speak to Data Squad because I skipped it.) Either way, it's not been that much of an issue so far, and It's also not that much work for me to point out when techniques are a bit overboard. I hope that's okay.

Well, here she is. Although the crest is "Sincerity" this is actually supposed to be Joe's crest, not Mimi's; I'm working with the idea of "Sincerity" meaning honesty rather than Mimi's crest which was actually "Purity" in the original Japanese, while Joe's was "Sincerity" not "Reliability".

I guess it works either way, since this character is anything but pure.

Bio: Some people like to say “honesty is the best policy”, most people think little white lies never hurt anyone and others spend every day pretending to be something they are not just to get through life. As you grow out of childhood and into adulthood it’s important to find the right balance between truths and lies that will allow you to comfortably navigate social situations in a way that both lets you get what you want while also not troubling your conscience too much; in Erika’s case, she found that life got a lot easier when she started telling people what they wanted to hear rather than what was true or what she really thought. She also found that lying didn’t really bother her that much.

Erika is a popular person, well-liked by almost everyone she meets at school or elsewhere; she is seen as kind, caring and intelligent, always willing to help when asked or always available to lend an ears to someone’s troubles. She’s never short on friends, has a thriving social life and always has a smile on her face; no boyfriends though, she’s always too busy to date and will gently turn down anyone who asks her out. She seems almost perfect.

Because this is what she wants people to think.

To tell the truth, and she rarely does, the Erika most people see is just a character she came up with to make her life easier. She doesn’t care about the people she helps, or the petty problems they come to her with, she just helps them because it’s what’s expected of her; besides you’d be surprised at how quickly you build up favours like that and when you’re seen as someone who is always so busy helping others it is to pass your responsibilities off onto everyone else. She doesn’t actually like the people she hangs out with nor shares any of the interests she claims to share with them. It’s easy to pretend to have a busy social life when you get invited to everything, even if you end up going to none of them.

She doesn’t like people nearly as much as she pretends to; if anything she’d say she hates them. But people don’t really like it when you tell them that; nobody actually wants to hear the truth.

Digimon

Personality: Like most Wormmon, this one is timid and nervous by nature; severely lacking in self-confidence and overly worried, she is often trying to group up with others to comfort herself and is especially dependant on her partner for reassurance.

As she Digivolves she becomes more and more confident in herself as she advances through the stages, as a Champion being more self-assured but still preferring to let others take the lead and as an Ultimate and Mega gaining increased confidence in her strength and abilities.

@King Cosmos That's actually a common misconception as far as I'm aware. There was a translation error in Digimon World 3 that confused them. And the animation speaks for itself- Joe jumping in the ocean to save TK isn't "honest", it's being dependable.

Interesting choice in Digimon, (honestly the Champion stage doesn't ring a bell) especially since I could see Erika working as much with Kindness as she would Sincerity, maybe moreso.

@tobiax I'd say she's being insincere rather than cruel, but maybe that's just because that was what I was going for and I'm biased.

The way I generally pick Digimon is to start with the Mega and work backwards, which led me to those choices. I don't recognise Hundiemon either, but I followed the links on the wiki so it should all work. I wanted to use Rafflesiamon honestly but that's actually a fusion of Lotusmon and Rosemon.

Good way to do it. I feel like Lotusmon's design is trying too hard to be gothic-lolita, but I have nothing against it. I'll keep that in mind and get back to you later on Rafflesiamon.
