Kali looked at James "what kind of food should we have at the reception?" she asked him

Elizabeth whispered the news in his ear.

"any kind of food possible, really. it's not all vampires who will attend."
James said.

brandon looked at her. "so your really pregnant?" he says to her

she nods "oh i didnt think of that" she says to him.

Elizabeth nodded.
"yes."

James nodded and held her hand.

he had mixed feelings about it now that its infront of him. He kisses her lips and smiles happily at her. "i cant believe we are going to be parents" he says to her.

"can your mom help with planning the food?" she asked him.

Elizabeth nodded.
"neither can i."
she kissed him back.

James nodded.
"sure, but she'll probably bring staff with her."

"oh yeah thats fine, she can use whatever she needs if she taking charge of the food" she says to him

he kissed her again and took her hand and stands up "so i guess we will need to figure out when we tell everyone" he says to her. "we can wait a bit if you want, it doesn't need to be right away" he says

she kissed him back.

james nodded.
"ok then. that's settled."

"i think it will be nice to keep to us and let us be in our little bubble of happiness before we let others in, they will be fawning all over you" he says "i want to keep you to myself a little while longer before i have to share" he told her

she nodded "good" she says "can we do something else right now, i feeling a little overwelmed with all of this" she says to him

"yes, we shouldn't say anything yet. "

"What would you like to do?"
james asked.

"anything but wedding stuff" she says to him "surpise me" she smiled at him

"that makes me happy" he told her as he pulls her to him and he kisses her lips. "i love you Elizabeth" he told her "so i have a question about shifters and pregnancy" he says to her

"i have a library."

Elizabeth blinked.
"what is it?"

"how long is a typical shifter pregnancy? is it like a humans? or is shorter?" he was curious, but he also wanted to know what the time frame he was looking at.

"oh really?" she perked up at that. "is it a big one?" she asked him

"closer to a humans than anything."
Elizabeth told him.

james shrugged.
"its pretty big. i stopped counting after 12,000 books."

he nodded "okay well thats good to know" he says " we have time to decorate a babies room" he told her he walks back to the carriage with her

"wow really?" he says to her. she loved reading and couldnt imagine all the books.

James nodded.
"Yes, really."

Elizabeth nodded.
"Yes. And we have some time together before they arrive."

Brandon stopped and looked at her "they?" he said

she kissed his cheek "lets go" she says happily.

"do not assume, silly. 'They' can be used in a singular sense."
Elizabeth chuckled a little bit.

James chuckled and nodded. He led her upstairs and into the library. There were thousands of books in there.

he shakes his head "lets not use they" he said "he, she or it is better" he says "i will call the baby a she" he smiles " a little one like her mom" he kissed her "you make me happy" he says

Kali happily went with him. she walked in and her eyes went wide with delight "oh wow" she says as she looks around. this was like a little bit of heaven for her. "its perfect" she says and she walks over to a tower of books and her fingers glide over the spines as she reads the titles.

'i still think it's they. Good thing I bought double the baby supplies'Elizabeth thought. She looked at Brandon and nodded, faintly smiling.
"You too."

"Some of them are quite old."
James chuckled a bit as he watched her.
"Anyway, enjoy. The library is yours too."
