He turned to leave. He really felt bad, and angry.

"He's the only guy I've met who wasn't interested in me for my dowry."

She actually smiled a bit while she blushed a bit.

Elizabeth blushed redder. She closed her eyes and bit her lip for a moment.

Elizabeth frowned. She pouted, bright red.
"This is new for me ok?! I'm nervous."

James sighed. In the end, he had no choice but to follow him back inside. That was what he thought anyway.

brandon patted him on the back as they walked back inside. "lets get a drink before going back to the ladies huh?" he said "you look like you could use one" he said

Elizabeth nodded. She took a breath. She calmed herself.

"well then you can watch me drink i meed one after the events of the day" he says and walked back into the mansion. he nodded at eric as they passed. he walked into the ballroom and over to the bar and order a couple of shots.

she looked down "you i have never met a shifter before" she says "so what can you change into?" she asked her.

He tried to sit as far away as possible.

Elizabeth blinked. She took a breath.
"I can turn into a lot of creatures, but I limit myself. There is one creature species I avoid at all times when changing into something else."

he watched him as he was given the shots. he downs both of the quickly. "alright James lets go back to the girls shall we?" he says as he walks over to Elizabeth and Kali.

"so can you change into another person?" she asked her "im sorry if im being to forward" she asked

James sighed. He hesitantly followed. He did not think he should be near kali. He frowned and stared at the floor as they walked.

"humans are one such thing I avoid turning into."

brandon walked up to them both "hello ladies" he says "sorry had to fetch James is all" he said and looked to his sister then to James. "James can you escort Kali to her room. she was wanting to turn in" he said to him. he knew whatever was going on they needed to talk.

kali watched james and saw his bag. she looked down then looked at him and got up "will you please walk me to my room James?" she asked him.

Brandon looked at James "i honestly dont think you would harm her or out her in harms way" he said

Elizabeth blinked. She looked at kali, then James, then Brandon. She stood up and walked up to brandon, anxious as she watched what was going on just then.

kali nodded"yes im sure" she says to him and looks at brandon "besides if anything happens to me my brother will serious hurt you," she says to him "goodnight brother and Elizabeth. i will see you in the morning" she says as she looked back at James.

"Should we give them some privacy?"

James hesitated. He took a breath and very slightly nodded. He walked with her up to where her room was. But, he was rather quiet for a little while.

kali glanced at him a few times as they walked. she bit her lip "were you leaving?" she asked him and stopped walking.
