Angel sighed. She decided to get a drink at the bar.

Eric blinked. He set his glass down. He looked at her and raised an eyebrow.
"are you sure?"

He was hesitant. He had promised a dance to the man who had broken his heart and it had made it hard for him to enjoy the ball he himself was throwing.

Serena shrugged “only if you’re sure. I will not ask again” she tells him then set the glass down. She walked to the dance floor then looked back at him.

Gage ordered 2 whiskeys. He gave Nathan the drink. Nathan was looked around them and spotted a women at the bar. he nudged Gage he rolled his eyes.

Nathan smiled and moved over to the left side of the women "hello" he said in a deep tone. "how is your time here going?" he asked her

she smiled "you worried i will disappear?" she teased him. "my father would have to be mad to take me from your home" she says to him

"baby stuff, so you already knew before the appointment?" he said to her

James rolled his eyes. He blinked and frowned at the mention of her father.
"He will be unable to get onto the grounds."

"I had a feeling, but I was unsure, remember?"
Elizabeth replied.

Eric sighed. He followed her, if only to humor her. He wasn't ready to give his heart away or anything, he thought. He didn't think he could risk such a close relationship with anyone again. Anyway, he held his hand out.

Angel blinked. She glanced towards the male who had spoken. She shrugged.
"alright, I suppose."
She ordered a seaweed vodka. The glass was placed in front of her soon enough.

Serena took his hand and began dancing with Eric. As she danced she noticed two men walk in. She took a particular interest in one of them as she danced with the sad man in front of her.

Gage looked around the ballroom at the people that were there. he sipped the whiskey he had in his hand.

James rolled his eyes. He blinked and frowned at the mention of her father.
"He will be unable to get onto the grounds."

Angel shrugged.
"seaweed vodka. why?"

Eric danced with Serena. He was surprised that she was not trying to get close to him for his wealth and such like others that were there. Then again, she was a bit of a rude one, he thought. He managed not to sigh. He followed her eyes towards the bar and noticed the two guys that were there, one of them talking to a girl who sat there.

Serena danced with him for one song “thank you, and I do hope you feel better Eric. You’re at a party, act like it” she said then walked away to grab anothed glass of blood from the fountain. Serens sat down and sighed, she wished her brother had arrived before her. She was no good at entertaining herself in social situations.

he shook his head "no reason" he says "just curious is all" he told her smiling. "how long have you been at the ball?" he asked. "that is my friend Gage"

Gage heard his name and he looked at the girl "pleasure" he told her as he went back to looking around

brandon looked at her "and what if you werent, then what were you going to do with the baby stuff?" he asked her

Kali looked down "thats good, does that go for the wedding too?" she says "that would be where he would try something" she says to him

gage saw a women sitting by herself. he figured why not she was pretty and pleasing to his eye. he walked over to her and sat down. "you here by yourself?" he asked her

James nodded.

Eric blinked. He watched her leave. He frowned. 'typical'he thought. He went back to work.

Angel shrugged.
"maybe a couple of days."
she nodded at his friend.

Serena was looking around when one of the men approached her and sat down beside her. “Yes I am, why?” She asked him then sipped her glass. Serena was a woman, but she wasn’t scared of any man, she knew how to care for herself.

"was just wondering" he says "it looks like most of the women here have escorts, was just wondering if you had one i had to deal with is all" he told her

Serena rasied a brow “one you had to deal with? Why would you have to deal with one?” She asks him. She licked her lips of the blood and sat back in her chair.

he smiled at her "liz your not in trouble, just shocked me you bought baby things before you really even knew" he says to her

she faintly smiled "thats good" she says she more nervous of that then she wanted to admit too.

"its how it works at these things"he told her as he finished his whiskey. "to get anywhere with the ladies past the first day i have to deal with their escort, usually a member of the family" he says

Serena nodded “oh that’s what you mean. Then yes, I do have an escort, but he seems to be running late. Also I think getting to the ladies also implies that I must be interested, which I am not” she said then folded her arms. Serena was not easy prey and had very high standards when it came to men.
