I don't think Evvie was avoiding the blows on purpose, it was more of a by-product of turning around, which any character would probably do, if they're too stupid to just kick, or use their conveniently flappy wings.

You can't know where the blows will hit you hence you cannot possible evade the blow to your knee.Or your back. Even if I allowed the blow to your knee to be evaded the back blow will hit you.

She was never going to evade the blows with what she did and it wasn't even her intention to do so. I'll quote the explanation of my post I gave so you don't have to find it.

Her fire isn't made of metal. With her power she can make it a solid flame. Therefore, I didn't expect it to weight any more then a flame and would be easier to move again in her desired way, especially with her strength and speed. She swung all the way downward with her miss, all the while eyes tracking him, so as soon as she could she started to swing his way to try to hit him before he could completely get away with his attack. She knew there was no way to intercept his attack in time, which is why your guy can still do damage in his post, but she believes she can hit him before he'd be able to both attack and get away. It's not unreasonable (in my opinion) that she could get one attack out before he could attack and retreat completely out of her range again. You have to remember that she's really fast as well.As for changing the positioning of his attacks hitting her, she is bending her knee up and away but that doesn't mean your guy can't just do the minor adjustments to move in just a bit closer to keep his slash going as planned. Her twisting would change that blow to more of a frontal blow, but she needed to twist a bit to get into a better position where she could attack. She's willing to deal with the consequences if she's able to get her attack in.Ah, and she might fall onto her butt with this position she's in, as previously mentioned with her being unstable.EDIT: Although if this only makes sense to me I can edit it

With him behind her, though, that does change things a little so she'd have to twirl around all the way and not know exactly where he is, but her horizontal swing is a pretty good, generic swing to try and take him out wherever he might be behind her. As he was rolling she was swinging downward, so basically she's only starting her swing as he's going to attack her. That being said if you think he can attack her and retreat before she can spin around then go ahead.

It would be possible he could strike and get away before she could swing all the way around?

Trust me, when you fight you will understand, possibly.

I haven't seen a fight without some discussion which borders on arguing, at the very least.

Well, my prediction that "the fight where the dragon leave will be over soon" seems to come to fruition.

I doubt it. I come from the Fight School of "If it seems cool and makes somewhat sense, do it."

So stuff rarely bugs me that much. Sure, I LIKE to win, but if me losing or dying makes a cool scene or I go down like a badass, then so be it.

You evaded the blows. If you were never going to evade them you should have written some effect on you and not a sudden and miraculous avoidance of them. I hit you. You ether accept the hit or don't but don't tell me they would have some effect when the very next post after they hit you, you ignore them, turn aroudn and then strike at me. The effects either happen after I strike or they never happen.

When Melon and I hit each other we make mention of it the next post after the accepted hit, not a post or two later.

I'm honestly completely at a loss. All I had her do was twist around to try and attack him and that's a miraculous avoidance? I'm not trying to start I fight, I truly don't understand. I need someone to explain this to me or I'll just delete my post because I don't know what to do.

Oh, I fully expect arguments in my fights. If someone gets pissed at ME for doing something. However, unless something REALLY stupid goes down, I won't be the instigator of said debates.

In my defense, I had to seize every chance I could get with Sigurd. When I play more balanced characters I argue a lot less. Look at my fight with Khan! It actually finished, and we only argued a moderate amount! A moderate amount Rilla! Moderate!

You know...

you and Andae had the weakest characters, and you /still/ have not complained much about being mismatched.

Possibly because you went far along anyway.

Best way to avoid arguments is to care very little.

This sniz is only a hobby at best, no reason for ppl to take it to heart.

You voided all of his attacks.

If your character decided to react to his post by turning and swinging, that's fine, but you should have said what effect that had to his knife strikes. Instead you just left it to the wind, with some ambiguous 'if my attack goes through then his attack goes through too!'

Personally, I think your attack would allow you to partially avoid the first knife strike, hence you should have said that, suffering or graze or missing or whatever you think plausible. Instead you just left it so Skallagrim can decide how much damage he did to you, which just isn't how Arena works.

Secondly, turning around and swinging a sword is going to get you stabbed with a knife, probably fatally. Your sword will never reach the Elf before you die, its just how turning circles work. This is me judging it with comparable speeds, I'm not entirely sure on the specifics of each character.

Sigurd did an awesome job. If the crazy Chakram lady wasn't so hostile he probably could have defeated her without killing her as well.

What a lad.

I thought it was up to him to be able to describe the damage. You guys thought I just pretended that never happened? I made it clear she didn't dodge the attack.
