Winter swallows thickly, tears blooming in her eyes. “I’m sorry. I’m so sorry. I love you but, I don’t think we can see each other anymore.” “Aw Win-Win!” Tanya squeaks, hugging Winter’s legs. Winter bends down and hugs her back. “Thank you, my little fairy princess.” Winter bends down and kisses Tanya’s hair then straightens. “But I think we need to be alone.”

Ivy’s grin widens. “I wouldn’t be surprised.” She tilts her head to lean it against the fridge. “I think you keep forgetting that your not a crocodile. I guess it can be confusing though when someone has a croc snapping in their head,” she teases. “Your human. Just like me.”

Kerian looks very confused " what? What do you mean by that ? " he asks winter. Messing with his necklace he sits down at a nearby bench. " it was nice meeting you tanya" he says and finishes up his ice cream.

Jacob smiles " oh yeah I am" he says. Shaking his head he looks at her but doesn't really focus on her. " it's weird because sometimes I wake up and I'm wondering where I am because I was supposed to be at a drill teaching Egyptian troops then I remember I'm Jacob not sobek though I guess we're one in the same now. " he tells her

Winter sits by him, looking very distraught. “I-I’m engages,” she whispers. “I thought I loved him, but I don’t. I don’t know what I thought I felt, but I love you. It wouldn’t be such a big issue if my mother hadn’t basically told the world that I was getting married.” She begins to cry softly. “I’m so sorry. I didn’t mean to drag you into this. I don’t blame you if... if you hate me.” She whispers the last part, full of self loathing.

Ivy’s teasing grin fades, and a small, reminiscent, almost loving, smile replaces it. “Well that’s too bad. I didn’t fall in love with Sobek. I love Jacob.” With that, she takes her glass of milk and the fudge and goes back to Arty’s room. She takes deep breaths and manages a playful smile. “Oh good you guys paused it. Hey move over would you?” She says teasingly, laying down and using Devon as a pillow. They had hung out like this all the time before, and while Devon was falling in love with Arty, Ivy has assumed the position of third wheel.

She smiles at Ivy. She had secretly listened in on the little conv. She smiled as she pressed play. She then jumpped when she felt her phone vibrate. "SHIT!" she said as she grabbed it. She sighed. "I got to take this." she said as she walked out of the room. She was gone for quite some time before coming back tears streaming down her face. "Nonas in the Hospital...." she said to Ivy. She ran her fingers throw her hair.

Kerian looked at winter" you have a fiance and you kissed me? " he says then shakes his head standing up" I'm sorry winter but I won't be the cause of you breaking your sacred vows. " he tells her trying to keep it together. " it was nice having ice cream with you" he says then begins to walk out of the mall. Getting outside and not really caring who sees he pulls out his horn and blows on it calling his horse. " hello Windspear" he mutters to it then climbs up upon it.

Jacob watches her walk into the room" I'm still me I just need to remember how to act like it. " he mutters softly mostly to himself as she walks inside the other room. He sighs and sits down on the country looks up at the ceiling lost in his and sobeks thoughts.

Winter breaks down into tears. She messed up... badly. “I’m sorry,” she whispers. She manages to get her trembling body to the stairs and forms a portal after making sure there were no security cameras. She walks into the living room and collapses face down on the floor in Arty’s kitchen. She curls into herself, sobbing silently.

Ivy gasps softly and jumps to her feet. She hugs Arty tightly and presses her head into her own shoulder. “Where is she? We can get a host to portal us there. Shh she’s a little warrior, just like her big sister. She’ll get through this, and so will you.”

She nods and hugs her. "They say shes in stable condition....But they dont know how long that will last...." she said. She broke the hug and walked into the kitchen. "Winter?" she said as she helped her up. she then laid her on the couch. "JACOB!" she yelled.

Jacob winces " I'm right here woman" he says and looks at winter" what happened to her? " he asks and grabs some chips from the duat eating them as he looks at winter.

Kerian rides off on windspear keeping a blank face. " hunters don't give in to our emotions " he said to himself remembering what his father said and keeps saying it to keep his mind off of winter. " Take me back to the hunt boy" he told windspear and looked at the horizon .

She sighed. "I dont know...." she said as she looked at him. "Just what i need....Two bad things happening at once." she said to him. She looked at him. "Ivy and i have to go the the hospital....Nonas there...." She said to him. "Make sure to watch over Winter." she said to him.

Winter’s rocking herself, murmuring between her gasps for breath. Her eyes are closed and her face is scrunched up in pain. She keeps exhaling sharply and hyperventilating. She shudders, and ducks away from their looks.

“Wait a minute. I speak heartbroken.” Ivy leans down to winter, holding her carefully. “Why on earth did you do that?! Ooh. I mean you have to admit that you can’t blame him. Wow that’s intense. Holy shit, Winter, I’m so sorry.” Ivy straightens and looks at them. “No clue what she said. Come on, Arty. Let’s go. He’ll take care of her.” She turns to Jacob. “Say nothing. Keep her fluids up and let me know if she forms coherent sentences. From her condition, it might be a while.”

She nods and hugs her right quick. She then starts to walk out the door. She freezes and she turns around and grabs a stuffed anime that Ivy had made for her a few years beck. She stands in her sisters room and brakes down. "I could have protected her...." she said as she sinks down to her knees.

Ivy starts to leave when she hears Arty cry. She’s drawn to the sounds of her friend’s tears like a moth to flame. Her breaking heart yearns to ease Arty’s pain. She finds her on the floor and sits next to her, silently pulling her into a hug. Her small frame attempts to protect the shattered heart of the woman with blue hair from further attacking from the rest of the dark world.

She hugs her back. Tears streaming down her cheeks. "I could have protected her...." she said to her. She was shaking hard. She had the stuffed animal clenched to her chest. She soon pulled herself up and then wiped her tears away. She looked at her. "We need to go." she said as she started to walk to the door.

ughh almost everyone is crying 'I feel your pain dude this is awkward' he says to sobek and sits down watching winter. He yawns as he watches winter and drinks some water .

Winter soon stops crying, and she sits up. She rubs her red eyes, hiccuping. She gets up and goes to the fridge, and comes back with armloads of homemade cookies Ivy had baked and ice cream. Her face is blank as she sits down and starts to eat.

Ivy stays close behind Arty, picking her phone up on the way out. “So where’s the hospital? Give me your keys, I’m driving.” Ivy’s voice is tender but bossy.

She hands her the keys and nods. She then shows her. Its all the way across the city. She again runs her finger throw her hair. She then gets into her car and waits for Ivy. She herself has a blank look in hr eyes. She bits her lips as she sits there.

Jacob sits by winter watching her eat " so do you need any water? " he asks her awkwardly while he munches on his chips.

Ivy slides into the seat and adjusts the seat to accommodate for her short legs. She backs out of the parking lot and heeds Arty’s directions. She goes at the maximum legal speed, hardly hitting any red lights. Her eyes scan the roads for any threat or obstacle. She zips around slow cars and approaches a large building with many colored signs decorating the grass by the intertwining maze of nearby roads.

Winter feels her face to see if her tears had dried. Then she gets up and gets a large glass of room-temp water. “Do you want any?” She asks from the kitchen, her voice raw from crying.
