XD I'm laughing so hard right now. The Prince of Fools really was entertained by that chase scene. lol!

So, Ander stays still and quiet for a moment, and after making sure that the undead really doesn't see him, he starts to move away from the undead. Since the opposite direction away from the undead is preferrable, he starts heading that way. But he stops. As he moved, he noticed something.

He has to squint, but he sees something important that would make him stop moving away. He sees an old friend slumped against a tree, asleep or unconscious. Either way, this old friend is unaware of the undead that is moving towards her now. That old friend is none other than Elaranna. After glancing at his friend and the undead multiple times, Ander will realize that the undead is heading towards Elaranna, intent on doing harm to her. If he doesn't do something, she will die.

It is, but unless you have any spells that only take up a bonus action, you're not going to be able to do anything else after disengaging.

Actually, casting a spell in melee range would not provoke an attack of opportunity. It's only when you leave it's melee range without taking the Disengage action that provokes it.

Ah, I was mistaken then. If that is the case, I would cast another eldritch blast, though I suppose that changes nothing, unless I'm allowed to reroll. DMs choice.
