Emily gasped. She bit her lip. She had since gotten over most of her fears. There was only one left, and it had already come to pass: being betrayed and loosing everything. She had nothing left to loose but her freedom and she wasn't going to give that up without a fight.
"You wish to be alone? Then be alone." He sends a wave of magic into her mind, this time trapping her in a trance like coma. She can still hear, see, and feel, but she can't move, as he's separated her mind from her body. He shudders after casting such a powerful enchantment, and falls to his knees, panting for breath.
Emily had one thought before he did that. The thought: if he does that, he would not be able to marry her as she may as well be dead. Then, she no longer responded at all. Her mind may as well have parted ways into oblivion. She was no longer anywhere in the room, well, her mind anyway. Her body was like an empty shell.
"I'll. Let you think about that for a while." He casts a quick charm to restore his stamina, but while he suddenly feels well rested, his magic feels like a worn out rag. "I know. I acted out of rash anger."
Emily did not respond. Her mind was not there. There was dead silence. The only sound was the passing wind. Emily may as well not have been there at all in any way shape or form.
A locket was around Emilys' neck. The chain snapped. It fell to the floor. It opened up to reveal her and a young man with his arm around her. He was her...college sweetheart. Her parents did not know about him.
