Marin smiles and dishes out homemade tomato soup and garlic bread before getting drinks. “What do you want to drink, honey?”

Marin checks the fridge. “Yes there is.” She pours them both iced tea, and sits back down.

Marin frowns at the soup for a second, then she sighs and waits for him to eat.

Marin huffs a little. “I just killed a tomato. I’m sorry. Your sacrifice will go on, and you shall be remembered.”

Marin shrugs. “It’s your turn. If it at least tastes alright, then I suppose that’s enough compromise.”
