It just crossed my mind, but as an animated inanimate object, should Salem be immune to Light's hugs, or is it something that operates on a 'as long as it's sentient'-basis? I think it might be cool if these two got along because Salem was immune (either because he's an inanimate object or because the uncanny valley and cognitive dissonance means zip to a mannequin), but I didn't want to underpower Light's abilities without your permission, and especially if you wanted part of her character arc to involve the loneliness that her maddening touch brings.
