Valuable Allies
Winchester Round Table in the Great Hall (1275)
The Grimm diaries state Joseph Nebojsa was the last living heir to the Bavarian knight and Grimm, Roman Nebojsa. Roman was a member of Die Orden der Brüder vom Deutschen Haus der Heiligen Maria in Jerusalem who perished at Constantinople in the 14th century. Before he passed, he sired three sons; Jürgen, Bohden and Hans. He also sired an illegitimate daughter, Clarice who married into the Thüringian minor noble family, von Plauen, marrying the brother to a former Master of the Teutonic Order mentioned above. The lineage meandered through time with the introduction of a marriage between a daughter of a von Plauen to the 3rd Viscount Hill Rowland Clegg-Hill of Shropshire, England. Years following the Great War (1927), the Hill family lost its noble rankings and became commoners as many minor nobles fell to obscurity.
“I have a shipment of Jay coming in from the continent,” a bellicose older gentleman uttered to his subordinates. “I need you gentlemen to make sure no one gets wind of this shipment. It has a street value of ten million quid, which is over eleven million Euros. This will be a large boon for our community.” Jay is the nickname for jacine, an opiate-like painkiller, often abused for recreational use. The drug is highly addictive, elevating the mood and inducing drowsiness in Wesen. The drug is lethal to most humans, but not Wesen. As it is a relative unknown substance in the human world, there are no laws prohibiting it. The drug is derived from a mold called, jacine. It similar to methamphetamines mixed with rat poison and helium. Jay addicts tend to suffer from liver disease and brain damage.
“Sure thing, boss. We will not let you down.” His subordinates were Schakals, the German word for Jackals. Although they carried illegal firearms on occasion, their bite was much worse than their bullets.
@Lyly Please feel free to add your character sketch and any ideas you would like to discuss here. I’m thinking of a drug trade involving this shipment of Jay coming onto the docks at Southampton which will end up in the Spice and Tea shops in this city and in Winchester. If you would like to write about how the two met and how their friendship evolved over the years, we can write that too.
