Congratulations Everyone! You reached Chapter 2!

Now, first and foremost: You guys can now Level up to Level 2!

However, you guys do have a level of exhaustion from partying all night, so don't forget that.

Now, there are a few things I would like to talk about and hopefully clear up before any confusion arises.

First of all, if you look on the first page, you'll notice that there is a new map! Yes, I am using the map with names on them instead of a map without names. Now, keep in mind that your characters don't know these names right off the bat, but I did choose this map to help us out in OOC communications regarding where you want to go.

That leads me into my second point: How I will be handling the Wilds beyond the Witchlight Carnival (Badum Tss)

I have noticed in this chapter, the module may get a little railroad-y in the sense that there are places you guys have to visit, and if you try to go elsewhere, you get turned around by the fog and end up at the required place anyways. (At the very least, I remember reading that in Chapter 2. Not sure if it applies to future chapters.)

That said, this will help me with a bit of organization. There are random encounters for this domain, and they can be just as important as the main events, or they can be inconsequential. With that in mind, I will have one random encounter occur in between each main location.

For these random encounters, 1 party member must roll for the encounter. They will have to roll a d8. I will have a different party member roll for each random encounter. I will also allow a reroll if the player gets a repeat result, that way there can be a variety of results. If there's only 1 random encounter left of untried encounters, then there would be no need to roll. If all of the random encounters have been encountered...well, we'll cross that bridge when we get to it. ^^"

I found the rule you are talking about.
However, I am going to stay with the PHB rule for exhaustion and stick with my ruling, because I was not aware of this rule until now. ^^"
