Unrelated: Aaron needs to replace the old, ugly map in the OP with the newer one being passed around. I know you have an unreasonable attachment to that map, but come on, that thing's pretty shit. And you never update it. You might as well use one that is going to be updated for you.

"What about Florida?" "Hold on, you didn't hear about what happened to him? It was awful." "Oh yeah, that's right. Poor Florida." On a side note, I think we might have broken the Hunger Games simulator. It keeps coming up glitched out on my end, for some reason.

Have fun. If it's on that other board, best of luck since I hear they're cutthroat when it comes to those games. Having played both that game and PoW, I prefer PoW much more. WiR was always a game, stats and dry updates kind of took me out of it. Here you have narrative, you have drama and actual character growth and development. You can't do that in WiR. You can replace presidents and kings, but a lot of times everyone was too busy beating off about ships and troop sizes (Which happens here too, so take that with a grain of salt.) Sure, there's the unknown with everything being left up to the dice, but here you have a chance to do something... epic.

Yeah, I wouldn't join one in another board. In an RPGuild WiR, you may get into a five-page argument about overlapping treaties, nonsensical shit, and troop numbers but over there you'll probably have to fight off hitmen in real life if you do something wrong. That may be an exaggeration.

But it's an exclusive game of Risk. Only a few get in.

You know, I remember hearing about a political game like Risk that was more intense. And people usually do it through Email. The way I heard it on NPR it can get so intense and cut throat it has destroyed friendships, or threatened legit physical violence. Real money I think has also been traded in the form of bribery to cement backroom alliances. I wish I could remember if that was risk or not. But when I heard it I thought of WiR at the time.

The WiR at Paradox is the real deal. They don't take fighting in the OOC to heart. The year is 1894, where I am playing as Colombia. So the Thousand Days' War is going to happen in two years and America will be asking for rights to build the Panama Canal. Thank God for Google. Here are samples of what they post (if you want to know): WiR: 1861 WiR: 1900

I think they call that Wikileaks.

Oh shit, that's the RP where you post flags and write as an afterthought. Never quite saw the fun in that one, but to each their own.

Well, the 1861 and 1900 ones were a mess (it was the birth of WiR) Here are two different versions of 1920 (the best WiR out there): 1920 1920 Mk.II
