Peace Talks
There was some commotion within all the Makudan reps for the moment while the others were discussing. There was even a point where a decision was forwarded to the entire Aeternal Council, which also took a moment, then finally thought up something.

"We have finally admitted we have been using a cruel form of slavery, at least in your terms of morality. We have been executing and torturing those who did not work and those who are of insolence to a Kaiyouan. Now, AIF. Remember the very first message we have sent you? That untranslatable one? We finally uncover what it actually meant: You had the Zoradeus as your ally once, now they have fallen under us. We are trying to think of solving this problem once and for all. Making them officially part of the Makudan citizenry, or setting them free into an independent nation, either way they will rebel against us and they will wipe us out, or more likely, we'll wipe them, as we fear." One of the High Diplomats took a sigh.

"Repairing means repairing. If a tool is imperfect, you repair it, if a person is imperfect, you repair them. Repairing something is mutually exclusive to destroying it" The Argutus said to the Griffon, then tilted his head "Cruelty here is irrelevant, though torture can be brutal and harsh... Torture is ineffective as a means of acquiring information, any way, we find it more effective to just take what we require from the minds of our enemies... But how do you define torture? As for Civilians, this would render any form of planet or city destroying weaponry illegal by law. But what of when their planet has been taken? Keeping them in line may require violence, and after taking a planet would the civilians not fall under the rule of the conqueror, and thus be able to be treated in anyway the conqueror pleased to treat their citizens? Also, avoiding damage to civilian property is near impossible in war, especially when soldiers take it upon themselves to take cover in structures, or when weaponry is constructed to run along the walls of certain, otherwise peaceful structures. Civilians also tend to have a rather annoying habit of taking up arms against invaders. I agree on the thought of purposefully using Chemical or biological weaponry on civilians being illegal, however." The Argutus paused and turned the humans "What do you mean by religious tolerance? The thou..." The Argutus paused, and looked out into the distance, as if regarding some far off sound, his eyes glowing slightly, then he turned back to the others and asked his question again "What do you mean by religious tolerance?"

Deroe turned to the Triarian representative. "What is religion?" He paused, as if emphasizing what he said. "What exactly do you people mean by religion? Is it actually an ideal based on a moral value? Maybe a collection of numerous beliefs on a single being? Is it the idea of numerous omnipotent, omniscient people influencing a plethora of cultures? Or maybe is it simply many people sharing a common imaginary friend? Is it simply an excuse for a group of people to gain advantage over many? We , the Kaiyouan civilization, have never experienced the concept of theology for millennia. It has long been disappeared from our minds, and the only reason why that word exists in our dictionaries is to see how our forefathers did in their age." He turned to the Supreme Admiral, who began to be nervous.

"Isse, what is wrong? Having another case of speech anxiety again?"

He replied with a dead look in his eyes.

"Why the fuck is my flagship that I parked up there rapidly deorbiting?"

The Argutus shrugged "Asking us is just as useless, the Collective does not and has not ever held such a belief. We use the term to refer to illogical and primitive concepts, that there must be some divine force or spiritual being. Religion is for those ignorant of science and logic, and the Collective refuses to entertain such ideas within their space. Regardless, our studies show its main purpose is to act as a sort of primitive guide to life, and is often created in primitive species as a way to control the population and explain what they don't understand... Whenever we mention this to those who believe such, they are quick to rebuke us." The Argutus said, then looked to the Makudan Supreme Admiral "I do dislike being the one to jump to a conclusion, but with the leaked files and your own comments on the Zoradeus in mind, is it possible your vessel is suffering from some form of internal sabotage or mutiny?"

"Judging by where the ship is headed.... It looks like it's on purpose. It's right towards this meeting site. I assume it's internal sabotage for this situation, but it seems that the motives of both incidents conflict each other, as while the document leaking aimed to defame the Makudan and bring justice to our ways, this is aimed at preventing not only the formal bindings between us races, but also the change in the expansion system. That said, it is likely that these incidents are not performed by the person, Thus it can be assumed as that a Zoradean may have leaked the document, but..." Isse paused, then looked down. "Who did this?"

MSC Deadlink
Isse's Flagship

"formal bindings between us races, but also..."

"Well, they know. Now all the systems are shut, it'll hit in no time." The familiar, winged figure whisphered to herself. "I don't like such changes going to happen in this system, and i'd like to see something exciting for once. Hope that AI replacement of mine deals with the councilwork."

She flew out, just as the 80km Deadlink plunged towards the planet, the front of its hull beginning to glow from atmospheric entry.

Fergus jumped after hearing that the ship was falling, and sent a transmission to all the humans on the planet using his neural transmitter. As many tractor beams as possible were locked onto the ship, pushing it upwards. Ships in orbit tried to pull it back into space as well, and droves of atmospheric transport craft flocked to the underside of the massive ship. Their negative mass floats pushed up against the behemoth, trying to slow it down before hitting the shield wall. But it was no use, and the ship continued to careen downwards. People jumped out of the transports trying to slow it down, passing through the shield wall with their own tuned personal shields. The ships continued to hold the flagship up, and it began to slow down. Of course, due to the properties of the negative mass floats, the slower it went the less quickly it slowed down. It finally impacted the shield barrier, crushing the transport craft underneath it and breaching the hull in multiple places. At that point, the ship began to slowly move upwards due to the tractor beams, until it came to rest just under the clouds. The tractor beams kept on it, as repair drones were launched to patch up the hull.

"That god for that shield wall, if it hadn't been there we'd all be dead!" Exclaimed the Empress
"I have confirmation." Said both Fergus, Dmitri, and Emily all together, creating an almost disturbing group of voices. "Emergency craft are being dispatched, and Abh marines are boarding the vessel to provide protection for its crew. Disaster averted, the inhabitants of this planet want us to continue with the talks and allow them to deal with the ship."
Emily spoke individually after the message "By religious tolerance we mean you have to allow others to believe what they want to. Basically, it makes it illegal to convert any individual through underhanded means such as brainwashing or mind control. And of course, no wars over beliefs. You can still hate other beliefs with extreme passion, but you cannot act on that passion unless those who share that belief act on their passion first. Also, you're entirely right about the origins of most religions, but some seem to have stemmed from actual events. Most religions in modern nations that are not theocracies seem to have just survived because of the fanatic believers of them, or because of extra-dimensional beings."

"Again, they call religion primitive"

"Forget the Triarians, they were created in their own way"

"Yet they have no tolerance"

"So be it. They can call what the Haches believe-what they know- primitive or not. If we must deal with it, we would reveal ourselves"
AIF Ship

"Shad" he responded "Do with that what you will

The Argutus watched the vessel unmovingly, tilting his head slightly. He did not speak as the problem was resolved, and as soon as it was he moved on, seemingly without a thought. He watched the humans speak without a change in attitude. This was not uncommon among the Triarii, and he was entirely unfazed by the disconcerting voices. After they stopped and Emily began to speak, he waited patiently for her to finished before pausing and turning, as if regarding something in the distance again, before turning back and speaking "So you are implying repurposing should be illegal? The mind is but another tool, it too requires maintenance and cleaning, lest it become damaged. Religion is like a cancer, its eggs are lain and it grows and grows and grows, until they hatch, upon which blood is shed. No. Never again. I do not allow a criminal to believe murder is right, why would I allow a madman to believe his delusions are true? What sad, twisted creature would I be to allow that? How irresponsible must I be to ever risk religious zealots harming my Kyn? The AIF Primicerii must understand Collective fears. Not so long ago, your people killed each other in the streets over such. The Collective does not welcome malignant and illogical beliefs into its borders. Security second, science first."

The Supreme Admiral breathed a sigh of relief as his spacecraft was halted. The Aeternals did so as to order another flagship in orbit to open up a wormhole just below the Deadlink, catch it and return it back into orbit. Deroe listened closely as the two made their debate. While he seemed interested in their way of thinking, this was unsurprising to him; it was a fairly common occurrence in the personal meetings of the Council. When the Triarii had finished speaking, he stood up, and laid his hands on the table like a strategist getting an idea for a battle tactic. "What even is religion to you, AIF? Is it a cultural habit? Is it a necessary ingredient of unity in a sentient species? Or, a nuisance to scientific progress? Maybe even the proper advancement of a civilization?"
He then turned toward the Triarian representative, giving off a slight, blue fire-like glow in one eye.
"I find it humiliating to a nation to act under such a foolish belief, and more so when they slowly turn themselves into the laughingstocks of the galaxy after they have faced the larger, more scientifically advanced civilizations-- and have failed. Religion is only good while a race still shoots with gunpowder ammunition, but once they have grown to be able to explore the cosmos, they should leave it behind-- and embrace the reality of scientific thinking and independent social progression. It's like a child-- they have an imaginary friend to play with, and once they grow up into a juvenile, they accept its nonexistence, and mature into a capable man ready to live a full life. Continue having such a friend influence your living way past that point of development, and you are regarded as mentally ill, perhaps, schizophrenic. This is the reality of reality itself."

The civil sector representatives then reported. "Our scholars are almost done with the paperwork."

Somewhere in the corner of a room, a watchful, magical eye overlooks upon the commotion. Who knows who did this belong to. Maybe that same person that almost crashed down the huge vessel.

The Argutus listened to the Makudan speak "We have often thought so, Parem Habui, religion is an obstacle. It is, seemingly, a vital first step in a nations formation, but slowly becomes irrelevant. Oddly, many nations do not see this, and some even fully embrace it" He glanced to the Equestrians, then back "As you say, it is comparable to mental imperfection. It would be funny if it were not so tragic. How can one bear the weight, I wonder. How can one advance when their 'religion' teaches stagnation? Is there ever a mention in anyone holy book of technological advancement? Never, they always say that the god has provided all that is necessary, thus rendering technological advancement obsolete. Not to mention the inevitable split of beliefs and conflicts of interests arising from it. Religion is a horrible idea, and we pity those who are attached to it."

Deroe sat down and continued. "Brethren, what we say is true, and this leads to another proposal that such races should be left alone. It is unwise for other men to bring down discipline on such fools. Let their own excess dependence on the belief of something imaginary be the one to befall inevitable failure upon them, not us." He stared towards the Equestrian representatives, and back to the Triarian Argutus. "However, one question remains. If the "god" they worship is actually real, but technically just a very capable and powerful biological being, does that count upon the eventual doom of a race or is it actually a major factor in their advancement?"

Ezten County, Homeworld
"Strange. Retsukuu always used to relax here while in free time. Does she have duties?" Odometus walked around, clearly looking for somebody. His eyes were all over the place already, but she was not here this time.

"There are no duties scheduled for her, Odometus. She might just be on a different place. After all, it's tiring to go to the same place all over again." Idera turned her eyes toward him. She usually wore a suit and a trenchcoat that was all black except for the suit's inside, but today it was some sort of a black bodysuit-dress hybrid, as most of the black torso being tight with two blue glowing lines running across its height, while the rest of the body coverage, the white dress parts, went along freely with the wind.

"I got my tracker, all of us in the Council has such chips to keep track of each other.... she's missing!" Odometus suddenly felt a sense of endangerment. "That tracker should have been able to detect even from the distant borders. Initiate emergency search!"

The Argutus grinned slightly upon hearing the words "such fools". He enjoyed watching religion get put down by an exogen, it refreshing to know that it was not only they who saw religion as an obstacle and as something illogical "In that case they are being deceived are they not? And all those who deceive have an ulterior motive, oft one which will cause enslavement, death or some other benefit to the deceiver and detriment to the deceived. In short, it could be either, or both, depending on the deceiver. Regardless, its an elaborate confidence trick, and those so conned are either illogical, foolish or gullible. Of course, the masses are always gullible" He shot a glance to the Equestrians as he said that "And there is almost always a cost that will cripple the deceived and may, as you say, lead to their eventual destruction. Exogens are never simple matters, and their culture is often so clumped with religion they can spend centuries cutting it back out. Religion leads to wars like the human common sense war, regardless of whether the being is real or not, and that can bring about extinction events. In other cases, such as the Equestrians, it leads to advancement, but as we have seen the war like tendency holds true. We conclude that all religious roads, whether the 'god' be real or fictional, come to ruin"

Deroe seemed to be interested in how they had the same opinions on theological beliefs: an impediment to scientific advancement, out of logic, and a deception to the minds of the weak. "Basically, religion is good for nothing but to weld the cultures of a primitive race together, and only the primitives. It is a disease, both physically and mentally, to a civilization who continues to hold tight on a useless, detrimental concept. It is the oddity that shames people who act on it, even more so in the name of bloodshed and cruelty. And to claim you are a God is complete arrogance." He coughed for a second, then continued. "But to declare war in the name of irreligious ideals is also a shameful move. It is a must to avoid even regarding atheism as a religion, which is a great irony in its own right."

He stood up, then spread his arms wide, as if presenting himself to the Round Table. "We have reports that the work is complete! Let this be the start of the integration of the Makudan in the galacti-" He was interrupted as the sound of an explosion outside shook the room. "TERROR ATTACK!", one of the civil sector representatives shouted. The Makudan guards mobilized towards outside.

The Argutus turned his head calmly to the noise "It would appear that someone is heavily opposed to the completion of this meeting." He said, floating to a standing positon and taking a few steps to the side "It may be best we conduct business in secrecy in future, as it would appear we will not get any peace otherwise" The Argutus folded his arms with a short sigh "That, or someone is very tenacious and wants the occupants of this room deserviced"

Gvasty nodded in agreement. "I believe it is more on the former matter. Someone absolutely disagrees with this kind of- argh!" He became unsteady as the room shook more. He coughed, then continued. "changes in the system of expansion primarily because of supremacy reasons." He looked towards the direction of the door, and back towards the Triarian. "That, or someone just wants the war between us and the Equestrians to continue for the sake of recreation and enjoyment. In which case, this is not too much difficult. But they managed to sneak in past the guards of the planet, so this would definitely be a threat to us. Grab your weapons if needed."

"My Gauntlet had to be returned to my ship upon the insistence of a human guard. Fortunately, they were unable to make me return my mind, and thus I am armed enough to deal with terrorists." The Argutus said, turning his head towards the source of the explosions "I always knew there would be security issues, but this I did not imagine. Someone must have spent a fair amount of resources to set this up. That is, of course, if they truly are an individual and not traitors from within your ranks who are displeased with you sitting at this table" He turned his head towards the three human leaders "The Human Primicerii would be wise to prepare any weapons that they might carry, the same would be said to the Equiis diplomats"

War Update: Done

The CPZ has won

After the destruction of the Imperial Government by the hands of the Saints "terrorists" (the ZE looked to them as terrorists, they were like a private army in a way to the CPZ) the CPZ quickly washed over the rest of the colonies like the tides sucking in any unlucky fellow. Resistance was determined by the Comu population on the planets, the larger the Comu presence, the worse the resistance.

The planetary states were next and fell rather quickly as well. Comu populations once again showed some resistance. Domu and Bunn welcomed the CPZ with their general led governments. Commune, however, is still war-torn. Resistance has moved to the local Undergrounds, and millions of Comu rebels have showed their disgust for the new Trinity. The Saints have left the planet once the CPZ appeared, and have stationed themselves in unknown solar systems far off from the Hach territories. Most Saints stations locate themselves inside asteroid fields, and set mines nearby to make it extremely difficult for passer-byers to fly through.

The CPZ has renamed itself to the Zonanese Powers (ZP) after no longer being a colonial based Zonan. They have wished to reopen relations with any nation willing to, and have sent diplomats to all known powers.

Operation 0-2

After the fall of the ZE, operation 0-2 had been completely by about 99%. Since it would be a waste to not use them, they immediately began filling the ships with supplies and volunteers to explore the next far off space.

The ships and attack fleets left immediately.

Bud Gem

The Bud Gem has been safely secured on Allimone, while the Elles Gem was transferred there as well. Procedures and experiments are to be conducted on the holy item.

"Treason? In our halls?" Gvasty questioned in surprise. Deroe turned his eyes on him. "It's more likely than you think. There are quite some officials in our ranks who preferred supremacy, but most of the gladly keep it to themselves. And that's saying most, not all." He looked toward the door again, ignoring the shaking and trembling of the room like it was nothing while the other representatives seem to have a difficult time making a straight face. "I'd like to request to have our staves and amplifier armors retrieved back in our ships. I'm guessing the one at Isse's ship has been stolen by the terrorist, but we have others at mine- oh, shit." Deroe uttered, as if seeing something of an enormous scale, which it really is. "Someone also brought one of the two largest ships in our forces without permission. I know who captains this, and i think that is the same person bombing this place. THIS IS TREASON! Begin the manhunt for Retsukuu Yomo, now!"

"There is a small guard force of Sazkarjhit on our ship, go get them." said the Griffon to another diplomat. The other Pact diplomats prepared whatever side arms they had brought along as well as there magic. The Griffon spoke again before the terrorists had a chance to break in and begin the fight
"Our warlike tendency is not a result of our religion, it is a result of the universe we grew up in. We thought when we first ascended to the stars we could bring peace and harmony without war, but we were proven very, very wrong."the Griffon took up position with the other Pact diplomats as the Sazkarjhit guard force arrived.
