Introduction

the cosmic horrors such as Cthulhu, Yog Sothoth, Azathoth and many more figured used there great power to impregnate women with their Halfblood children to use them as tools for regaining their power and defeating rivals. to them, their children were nothing more than a means to rightful place as rulers of the cosmos. but some of the children decided to go against their parents and fight against the darkness and fear that was spread all over the world. to the ordinary and untrained eye the children of The Great Old Ones looked just like any other type of human being, but within them were monstrous incarnations of their parents, and they possessed incredible powers which they could use to ether bring forth the darkness and fear of the cosmic horrors or defend the earth from the evils that their parents create. this rp will have your characters battling monsters and other supernatural forces to ether protect the world against The Great Old One or aiding them in awakening from the slumber and bringing terror to the world.

rules

no god-modding

I am GM so my word is law but if you have a suggestion or would like something changed about the rp then you can ask.

no arguing in the OOC or IC

show respect to your fellow players

keep it pg-13 in terms of profanity and sexual content, but i will allow low rated R in terms of violence.

i would prefer if you used only the Great Old Ones, The Deep Ones and The Outer Gods.

Have fun :)

CS

Name:
Age:
Gender:
Parent:[ just put your character's Great Old One parent here]
Personality:
Alignment: [Great Old Ones or humanity]
Abilities:[each of the well known Great Old One has an affinity to an earthly or cosmic element so you're character's parent should determine what powers your character will have]
Tools/Weapons: [you can have weapons like swords and other melee weapons but don't go overboard with how many tools you have
History:[it doesn't have to be too long but i don't want it to be very short ether]

so is anyone interested?

I already have a character idea. But I need to know: will this be taking place in modern times? Medieval? Early twentieth century? "When are we?" I ask.

And from the sounds of it, it will be all good to creat a character who will or at least will begin aligned with the Great Old Ones, yes?

Actually, while its been a while since I've dove into Lovecraftian Lore, I do think it would be interesting if the characters were each from different time periods. Something akin to Eternal Darkness. Again just a thought. ^_^

An intriguing thought. And one which is not outside the realm of lovecraftian lore. I know that there are more, but the story that comes to mind at the moment is The Shadow Out of Time.

I'm all in favor of transmigrating throughout the expanse of aeons, which mortals relate to only dimly via the clumsily construed concepts of history and time.

I just realized that I forgot to add personality and alignment to the CS, so I just added them to it.

Name: Lars "Ice man" Uomik

Age: 40
Gender: Male
Parent: Ithaqua, The Wind-Walker
Personality: As cold and indifferent as the arctic he makes him home in, Lars is not a very sociable person. Partially stemming from the pro-longed lack of contact with any intelligent being (besides the ones he hunts), he is very awkward or blatant whenever he usually talks about anything to anybody aside from his father whom are able to understand each other intimately.
Alignment: Great Old Ones (Currently...)
Abilities: Invincible to cold temperatures, extreme endurance for running/travelling, master traditional hunter
Tools/Weapons: Hand-made seal hook (improvised hockey stick and meat hook), Caribou leg bone knife, snow shoes, polar bear coat and cap, and a longbow with arrows fletched with arctic fowl feathers.
History: Born near Ellesmere Island in Nunavut, Canada, Lars Uomik was the son of a Inuit woman and supposedly a poacher from Norway who had a come to seek a life away from civilization. In truth, Lars was a son of Ithaqua, The Wind Walker, or "Wendigo", whom was one of the Great Old Ones. Lars was never told this by his mother, whom had been tasked by her God to raise him in the ways of being a hunter of beasts and men until he came for him when he would be older. Lars grew up never knowing it was abnormal for him to not shiver despite the extreme cold, nor that his mother and fellow band members worshipped a deity who demanded human sacrifices and hunted men and women who travelled the northern frontiers of the world in order to appease their God.
When he reached the age of 21, his "father" finally met him personally. Ithaqua had always watched him as he had been growing up, being a hunter covered in white, always afar, but now he decided it was time to test his son. For ever since Ithaqua had come into being and started producing offspring, he had desired to create a child greater than himself in order not just to replace him one day as the Wind Walker, but also to help free the other Great Old Ones from their prisons as he alone could not. Thus, ever since that faithful meeting, Ithaqua has tested Lars in all aspects of being a hunter and survivalist, and has tested his mind by introducing him to his half-dragon and ghoul servants and by giving him glimpses of Boreas, the world which Ithaqua took his sacrifices and primarily resided. These tests were necessary, for if Lars failed even one, he would join the legion of failed children, and Ithaqua would do everything in his power to kill him.
Now, Ithaqua decided it was time to give Lars the greatest test of all next to facing him personally, and that would be taking Lars out of his element and throwing him into something altogether alien...
