True, it does seem famous trainers from one region are all but unknown in other regions. Then again Desmond steam rolled multiple regions, so I'm sure Rian can have a fanboy moment or two. Mt. Battle always struck me as something that would be a much larger spectacle than the Pokemon League.

Heh, I'm sure Rian's motivation for being there will reveal itself if anyone actually confront him about it. That or they'll yell at him for being a lazy bastard who does nothing but play chess with a giant pink hippo.

Heh, Desmond's proud of himself for beating the Gyms, but he's much more proud of the fact he got to meet the wonderful Gym Leaders within each of them. Having someone notice him for his deeds... That'll be flattering, but also embarrassing for him.

And Mt. Battle is a hell of an event, considering it's on top of a volcano, and all the battles are double-battles, requiring strong bonds not only between trainer and pokemon, but throughout the trainer's entire team as well. It's one trainer going through a hundred with only minor breaks after every ten successful wins. One loss and they are forced to start all over, which of course happened to Desmond because he was only fighting with Ampharos & Magcargo. He caught the rest of his team when he went to Johto to become stronger.

And dude. Desmond would consider that game of chess to be the most hype shit ever.

I could've sworn either the Ralts line or the Abra line automatically has telepathic links with their trainer? I could be wrong though.

I saw you didn't "Say" there were boats, but a post mentioned some if I recall correctly, unless of course that post was edited in which case I'd just say "Shit!". Besides, you guys already got the cool helicopter and Skarmory entrances, I had to take the path less traveled!

Not to mention Hoenn is pretty much several islands and the only way to get anywhere from there is a boat.

No but really, apologies if it mucked with stuff in which case I'll switch it to some luxury chopper, if those exist.
