[IC] Contracted - Dead Hopes and Dreams

Matt was on the road heading for Parker's before he ever recieved a reply. After getting to his bandmates apartment Matt slid off his Vespa, cracked open his mountain dew and checked his phone as he climbed up the stairs to the door. Not bothering to knock Matt strolled through the door, "So what's for breakfast?" he called into the apartment. After he finished his breakfast he loaded into Parker's van and headed to the studio.

The presence of the band and the music of rehearsal drove all thoughts except that of the show from his mind. Sometime during one of the breaks swapped his standard mountain dew for water to start prepping himself even more so for the show. By the time 5pm rolled around Matt could feel himself tense with anticipation. As they piled back into the van post re-loading and a change of clothes for Matt, now in a pair of ratty, skinny fit blue jeans, a tank top that bore a lyric from the band from Bring Me the Horizon and the band's name along the bottom and a pair of Converses rounded the new outfit out. "I don't really care," Matt said in reply to Parker's question "I'm just wanting something light, wouldn't want nerves to get the best of me on stage" he said a thin smile spreading across his face.

Hearing Petra's retort to his joke Søren just chuckled and smiled, remembering why they kept her around besides her amazing guitar skills. "You know Petra you may be right, after all I am irresistible," the bassist replied while striking a pose. Dropping the pose he continued, "However, I think you just might be trying to push your own fantasies on this topic."

Turning away from the sink after dropping his dish in it Søren started to head back to his room, pausing as Parker entered. With a nod after hearing of Matt's soon arrival, Søren continued on his way to gather his stuff.

Making sure to grab Nete and his extra clothes for after the show, along with his merch promotion kit, Søren headed out to the van with the rest of the band after they finished eating. The entirety of the ride to the studio for practice Søren held Nete in her case cuddled to his chest, and was whispering excitedly to her. His hands sometimes mimicking certain parts of the songs that they would play later. At other times his whispering would crescendo to a quiet whisper like yell, yet his words remained mangled and hurried as his excitement fueled them.

The moment that the band got into the studio though Søren's actions that probably made the others doubt his sanity dissapeared. His eyes now filled with determination, his whispered words to his bass replaced with a silence, and this time his hands were no longer just mimicking the songs; Søren was in performance mode. During the breaks though he was back to goofing off, and lazing about. The only thing that remained constant during this time was the large grin plastered upon his face.

Even at the end of practice Søren still had the smile plastered on his face. In fact he felt ecstatic and even though his jaw was sore from smiling he doubted he would be able to stop anytime soon. When Parker brought up the question of where to eat, Søren took a moment to think. "As far as food goes I don't care, as long as it is close to the venue, so we can still get there early and do some shameless self-promoting. But, yeah other than that I have no preference."
