Guys, co-GM moment here: We need group connections. I want it to feel more like "destiny", you know? And I mean that in the least cliche way possible. xD

When Josh and I originally came up with the idea, the Horsemen found the four of us with the assistance of the Fates (like the ones in Greek Mythology, but we've adapted them into the angels in our lore. As the game continues and slowly becomes more supernatural, the Fates will likely be introduced), so I figured it'd make sense if we'd all met before, regardless of how deep the connection was. Everyone needs at the very least a minor connection, and to know how long each two have been friends.

For example, my character - Parker Mors - met Lee Lee's character when he was seventeen at a hospital, met Josh's character two years before the RP start at a party for a venue both their previous bands were playing at (and since then they've been meeting at venues and Parker has been going to his shows without meaning to because of how many bands Josh's character has been in), and met Justice's character a year before RP start when Parker was drumming for the band 'Discordia' and Justice's band needed a stand-in drummer, and those two have been best friends since. (Justice, I know you haven't confirmed this yet but I've sent you a message about all of this and it can easily be changed if need be.)

Obviously, I'll get more specific in my connections in my bio. The point being, we all need to have met somehow at one time or another. Thin or strong connections ranging from "got into a bar-fight with" all the way to "frequently butt-fucked in high school". XD You can discuss your connections here or in PMs, but please get them done ASAP. We're aiming to have us ready to start this game by Monday, hopefully sooner.

Once I get confirmation about my last two connections, I'll have my CS up.

My cs is still vastly open so if the rest of you have your characters history done already I can have Petra wander mysteriously where your characters have been.

That way you two don't have to make too many changes.

I don't mind.

^^

If it helps she had a brother and then hitchhiked across the globe for a bit, so she could have bumped into you two along the way?

Hey Petra, Timmy mentioned some of your backstory to me. I was thinking that the guitarist that your character's brother kicked out of the band could of been my character. It makes sense with my back story (haven't floated from band to band and being a guitarist before starting as a vocalist). If this is okay with you then we have a connection for our characters XD

Are you planning to always call Lee Lee by her character's name? XD Oh, and Lee Lee, they both call me 'Timmy' because it's a nickname I've had for about eight years. Just so you don't get confused.xD

Hey Mathew.

^^

heh.

Just wanted to let you know that Milo is Petra's brothers name & the band was called "Aeon to Oblivion".

On another note, that's insane that you've all know each other for that long.

We haven't. :P I got the nickname before I met them. They, however, are brothers. I met them about five years ago, maybe four. xD

Anyway, how is everyone's character creations going? Think we'll all be done by Monday or sooner?

Very cool indeed & four/five years is a long time still.

Cs wise, mine is three paragraphs in but still is missing the majority of my information.

If you guys want to post your cs when you're finished that will help me fix time gaps and so fourth.

Justice, you especially.

-sticks tongue out-

just kidding!

We have to try & figure out how our two characters know each other.

Alright, all done minus the appearance. My bio is uber long, but I included all of you in my bio. If you don't want to write a long-ass bio, the you can just include a separate "Links" section on the CS. Also, sorry that the bio isn't written very well.

We should probably add our day job to the CS since working for low-wage jobs for to pay for their music was originally going to be a big part of this RP.

Name: Parker Albus Mors

Ethnicity: Caucasian

Gender: Male

Age: Twenty-four

Instrument(s): Drums, guitar, vocals

Other Talents: Cooking, trilingual (English, Spanish, French), carpentry, gardening.

Occupation: Breakfast Chef at "The Best Around Waffle House" (lol Josh&Justice)

Bio: Parker was born and raised in Los Angeles with his younger sister Emily and both of his parents, but not in the district of Hollywood. His mother, Marie, was an attorney for one of Parker's favorite bands - 'Rest Now, Child' - who Parker had the pleasure of meeting often, which originally piqued his interest in music and where he got his first lessons as a drummer and guitarist. His father, Kenny, was a chef at a five-star restaurant and would teach Parker how to cook before he became an alcoholic and a less involved father. Kenny was also emotionally unstable, which was seemingly passed down to Parker, unlike his alcoholism. Luckily, however, Kenny was not abusive.
When Parker was fifteen, his father tried to surprise the family with a trip to Niagara Falls, but as usual was drinking and caused the family to be in a head on collision before they even made it out of California. Parker's father was somehow left mostly unharmed, but his sister Emily was killed instantly and his mother was left partially paralyzed and with brain damage, unable to do even the simplest things on her own. Parker was left with a broken shoulder, arm, and wrist on his left side, and a very bitter relationship with his father whom he obviously blamed for the crash. Parker's injuries healed fine on their own, but they left an addiction to opiates and benzodiazepines in their wake.
When Parker turned seventeen, he took the large sum of money his mom had left for him and put it toward an apartment of his own in Hollywood and used it to feed his lasting pill addiction, as there are more than enough drug dealers in L.A. Kenny quit taking care of Marie shortly after, leaving her in a hospital in San Fransisco when he moved off to a location Parker never bothered to learn. Parker finished school in San Fransisco to be close to his mother who barely even knew he was in the room when he regularly visited. During his visits, he met Petra, who had checked herself into the psychiatric ward. Not too long later Parker was dating Petra, as they shared an interest in music and Parker seemed to bring out an inspiration in her that she had previously lost.
Parker stayed in San Fransisco for a couple more years so he could attend his dream college of Vanderbilt University to hone his musical talents on a scholarship. While there, he began to get private lessons from his favorite teacher, Professor Wyclif, whose son Soren quickly became Parker's closest friend though he was four years younger than Parker. Both Soren and Parker both intended on moving to Hollywood to follow their dreams as musicians, but Parker left before Soren after graduating his second year at Vanderbilt. Petra had her own intentions of hitchhiking around the world, so she and Parker parted on good terms.
When Parker returned to Hollywood, he got crappy studio apartment way below his saved budget so he could keep a lot of his money for his future band, which he immediately went to work to try to form. One local concert he attended, he became quite fond of the voice of a certain back-up singing guitarist. Attempting to get his attention, he attended an after party the band had that night with a group of other audience members and found the man's name was Mathew and he had no interest in starting a band with Parker. As Parker's search continued, however, Mathew was found in four of the bands Parker had been searching for talent in over the next few years until eventually Parker and Mathew became friends. Not too long after, Parker's best friend Soren moved to town and decided to move in with Parker. On that day, the metalcore band "The Harbingers" was born.

Personality: Parker is a stubborn but fun-spirited kind of guy with a silver tongue and quick wit. He may have a short temper, but he's very sympathetic and caring. He's also rather straightforward, and is a teensy bit narcissistic Add all this together and you have the emotionally unstable pill-addicted cocktail that is Parker Mors.

He doesn't have that tattoo, and the hair is always flat like that but not wet with rain, obviously.

Name: Petra Constantinou

Stage name: Petra Antar

Age: 23

Instruments: Guitar, Vocals

Other talents: Illustration, has a steady hand like a surgeon

Day Job: Apprentice piercer/tattoo artist at Voltic

Bio: Petra and twin brother Milo were happily born on the small island of Thera in Greece, and raised there without many glitches until the age of 7. Parents divorced when they turned 5 and their mother soon fell in lust with a vacationer. After marrying the foreigner he continued to make it abundantly clear that children were not his cup of tea and asked if their father could take the children. Their father, on the other hand, had found a job in the States by this time and decided to take them in regardless of his poor income. Petra and Milo were greeted warmly in San Francisco and loved every minute exploring the bizarre wonders this kooky place had to offer while growing up. Their father took numerous odd jobs to make ends meet and received food and other goodies from neighbors and friends to help raise two budding children.

Since their father was understandably never home rules were lax and Milo began rebelling at 13 and getting into trouble. Their father took out another loan and bought a sparkling new guitar originally for Milo and a microphone along with stand for Petra, hoping this hobby would keep the duo out of trouble. This tactic worked for a while and both remained focused on mastering the art of music. After school both would run home to practice and switch instruments. Since music lessons were terribly expensive and definitely out of the question both teens were self-taught. By 16 Milo had made friends with the downtown music scene and continued to brush up on his skills. He dropped out of school and moved in with a couple of shady people.

Petra wanted to follow Milo around like a shadow but weeks, months, and then years passed without any notice from him or his whereabouts. She went ahead and graduated, moved in with friends and by 18 finally got back in contact with Milo whose band “Aeon to Oblivion” had become well known. High school had polished her music reading skills and she already had a knack for playing guitar. Flaunting her skills around Milo every chance in hopes of joining his band. Finally he asked Mathew the former guitarist to resign and handed that position to Petra who was ecstatic. Things seemed to be going well for a year but Milo’s rapid decay became quite noticeable, mentions of this were brushed off, and he denied having a drug problem. Petra found his cold body backstage with a needle still in his vein…cause of death being an overdose. Her whole world fell apart that day.

Painfully two years passed trying to carry along Milo’s budding legacy but the heart of the band died along with him. Feeling hopeless and completely alone she turned her attention to a bottle of sleeping pills only to wash them down with a bottle of tequila behind the wheel of Milo’s beloved muscle car. It was a mystery how she survived. The hospital admitted Petra for a couple of months so she could receive treatment, and met Parker out of the blue who had been visiting his mother. They immediately hit it off and began to spend many days and nights together, which resulted in them eventually dating. Unfamiliar feelings of trust and perhaps something more soon stirred for her, and he began inspiring her to write lyrics as well as pick up the guitar once again.

They affably parted ways but kept in touch while she went to college for a semester. The money her father had tirelessly saved from working went down the gutter extremely fast from past hospital and medical bills. She could not afford to return and just as well was unable to relate to the teachings. Petra hitchhiked around the world for a while with a stray Doberman called Crocell, which was named after a video game character. She stopped at different hole in the wall places searching for underground artists to hang with but turned down offers to join bands. Money was scarce and a newly written letter from Parker suggested she move to Hollywood to join a band he had helped bring to life.

Fast forward to present day and Petra now lives at a dumpy motel Called Sunrise Plaza in Hollywood near Parker’s studio at Stabulum Quarters. She can be found wandering around the boardwalk with Crocell, practicing with the band, working at Voltic, or spending what little money she has at a music shop Søren works at.

Personality: Petra use to be shy but has since grown out of that trait and has now become a bit brazen. Some would call her arrogant though she prefers the term confident instead. Although she appears to not care about the opinions of others she truly does deep down. She loves to laugh and add lots of sarcasm to her chats. If serious conversations are what one seeks they probably will not find them with her on a regular basis. She has no qualms about fighting or getting physical when confrontations arise though this is rare. Like the majority of humankind Petra has a more compassionate side though it is not practiced too often.
phew.

-wipes brow-

hopefully that's fine.

C'MON NIGGAS. LEE LEE AND I PULLED OUR WEIGHT. WHERE IS YOUR JUNK, HUH?! C:

Oh, Lee Lee, I guess you don't really know this about me but I'm the most racist person who isn't actually racist. Racism is just the funniest thing to me. If it makes you uncomfortable, I'll stop. XD I just happen to believe that humor itself has no limits, but people themselves have limits and you should be respectful of theirs. Like mine, for example, is mostly just the mentally handicapped. My little brother has down syndrome, so when people use the r-word or make fun of mentally slow people, it drives me nuts. Again, I believe humor has no limits, so I won't yell at someone for it, I will just ask them not to do it around me or I'll go away from them. xD

Sorry, I'm really sleepy, and even though I talk a lot (as I told you), I talk even more when I'm sleepy.

Name: Søren Frege Wyclif
Race: Caucasian
Gender: Male
Age: 20
Instruments: He can proficiently play the bass guitar and piano. Also he can somewhat play the drums. Other instruments, it is better no to ask because he will try to play them and it would not be pretty.

Other Talents: Søren can sew quite well, is a relatively good painter, and has a knack for remembering faces.

Occupation: Employee at local music store.

Bio: Born in San Franciso to a university music professor, he was single handedly by his father, his mother having died in child birth. Growing up Søren showed great interest in the fine arts. His father of course as a music professor at Vanderbilt University encouraged these interests, and even began to teach his son piano at age seven. These lessons continued until he was fifteen.

The lessons were held at the university, where his father taught, for convenience. In fact it was after one of these lessons when he was fourteen that he met Parker. The young college was getting lessons from Søren's father and the two quickly became friends, bonding over their love of music. In fact it was Parker who introduced Søren to the metal genre and a vast majority of its sub-genres. When high school started Søren purchased a bass guitar from a fellow student and began to teach himself how to play, getting a few pointers here and there from his father and Parker. During his high school years he worked hard on improving his music skills, often in his father's university office. On one occasion he had the pleasure of meeting Matthew, one of his father's students. They ended up pleasantly talking for a while about metal music. Also in high school Søren was asked to join several bands, yet he always declined.com While he was confident in his own abilities and skill, he was not confident in the idea of trying to click musically with others in a group.

In his first year of college at Vanderbilt (he got in on scholarships and a few references from the university's professors) though he quickly bonded with his roommate, Lane, and the even decided to start a band called "The Weather Underground". The idea to form a band had come about one night when Søren had been in the dorm playing an orginal rhythm on his base and his roommate joined in with some of the lyrics he had been working on, the sound melded and they decided to give it a try with a few other students from the university. Shortly before the start of their second year they were offered a contract with a small label named "Deaf Defying Records", and they accepted. Søren dropped out early in the second year of college so he could concentrate on improving his skill on the bass guitar. However, shortly into their time with the label Søren left the band, because he didn't like the label or the songs they were trying to push on the band. He knew the songs were good, but he felt that it was lacking what he had felt back in the dorm the first time he played with Lane. It was about this time that he remembered the times he and Parker talked about the Hollwood music scene, and Søren decide to check it out for himself.

Now he can often be found working at a local music store, in fact he works so often that he easily knows the faces of regulars like Petra. If not working he is either usually out with Parker or back at their place working away on his bass, trying his best to make "The Harbingers" a name to be recognized.

Personality: While he is a bit of an egotist, he tends to be jovial and light hearted, unless you have found some way to tarnish his "honor" (ego). He is also rather determinded in his actions, always feeling he is doing what is right , given whatever situation. When his "honor" has been victimized he becomes slightly withdrawn and epressed, and it usually takes feeding his ego or some lame act of vengance for him to revert to normal.
