"Why? Why else? Why not? For power of course! Once I take down Kilo Point, the surrounding areas will fall as well. I will amass a army, and eventually take over the whole of this contienet! Free it from SOLDIER reign! With SOLDIER armor and weaponry my forces will be nearly unstoppable, and there's nothing you can do to stop me. Upon your death no one else will know of my spy inside SOLDIER, no one except for myself rather." Magnus told Mithias. "Of course, you could always join us, swear your loyalty to me. In return you will live..." He paused for a few minutes before resuming his sentence "What shall it be, boy?" He spat the last word out like acid.

Lightning shot Mithias a pleading glance, Magnus would kill her if she dared say anything to him...She'd have to insure Mithias's death to avoid her own. She didn't stand much of a chance, he was a vampire, she was nothing more than a human. Sure, most vampires die easily, but he was a highly trained SOLDIER. She knew she would most likely die that night...

Turn about was fair play: Mithais had proposed Magnus' surrender, and Magnus had proposed his. Either way, Magnus wasn't going to let Mithias leave here alive while still an agent for SOLDIER, not after having seen Lightning by his side. Mithias looked at the girl with his golden eyes. She was young, beautiful, and he could see the fear and wavering loyalty in her eyes. He gathered that she was controlled by him, either by intimidation or compulsion, and that spite and shame conflicted within her. She would become suicidal if not for the small glimmer of hope she clung to... the hope Mithias saw in her eyes when she looked at him. She wanted to be free of Magnus. She didn't want anyone to die.

It was more than enough to trigger Mithias' protective instincts and remind him what he was fighting for. He inhaled sharply and focused again on Magnus. "You know I cannot do that." There had been a number of times in Mithias' life where the threat of death for him was real, when he didn't know what was going to happen, and this was such a time. A wise person would have chosen their words very carefully, but Mithias had decided long ago what he stood for. He would not accept life as a slave, nor impose that burden on anyone else. His true strength came from within, and if that was not enough, then death it would be.

"Do you think you will reign, Magnus? You will only revert the world back into eternal war. Vampires cannot live without humans, but they can live without us, and you will be providing them with all the reason they need to wipe us out completely. In the end, you will lose, and you will be killed." He paused a moment to gauge the elder vampire's reaction. He was probably getting angry. Mthias brought up another point. "Neither of us are the most powerful vampires that still walk this Earth, Magnus. SOLDIER exists to maintain order and peace; it serves vampires as much as it serves humans. You are gravely mistaken to think it as your enemy and to think you will survive this. I am not going to allow this pointless theater to play out. I'm stopping you now, Magnus." Mithias then directed his words at the surrounding vampire followers. "SOLDIER is already on its way here. If any of you wish to leave, do it now, and you will not be pursued. This will be your only opportunity to escape and reconsider your actions. I will take care of Magnus." Mithias hoped for a few of them to fall faint-of-heart and take the opportunity to abandon their leader. Surely Lightning wasn't the only one with second thoughts.

Lightning hesitated before before drawing her weapon, if Magnus died she would have no way of knowing if her family was safe, only he knew where they were being held. "Call off the SOLDIER squad...now.."She said aiming at Mithias. Her weapon was currently loaded with high powered shotgun munitons, at this range even a ancient vampire would be blown to bits if they didn't doge the shot. The last thing she needed was for more SOLDIER to come, surely they would kill her for aiding Magnus...

"Oh, but you are wrong. The elder vampires only cower for fear of them being destroyed, if there are no more SOLDIER, there will be no more reason to hide. Surely they would either join me or form a army of their own. Without SOLDIER, vampires could do as they please. You honestly don't think we would eliminate the human race, do you? No. We will capture them, use them as slaves, feed on them at will. But, why am I sitting here, telling you my plans? You won't live long enough to see them through." Magnus told him. "If you think idle threats will make my followers abandon me, you are wrong. Vampires aren't much different than humans in terms of loyalty. If there were any SOLDIER coming, why didn't they come with you? Surely if they were you wouldn't be foolish enough to track me by yourself."

He grinned as he said this, many a time SOLDIER had threatend him. Scouts, random patrols, all dead or turned to serve him. He knew by now how SOLDIER worked, if there was a search team they would have came with him. If Mithias wasn't going to conform to what he said, Magnus would kill him, it made no difference to him.

Finaly! Miller finished his work! He could take a short break for now, before he inspects the new gear which arrived only moments before. "If they delivered everything as I requested, we could simply roll those darn vampires over.." he said to himself as he lighted one of his cigars. Slowly he stood up from his chair and went outside. Some of his men were already unloading the new gear and equipement. Miller took a clipboard one Soldier was holding, he wanted to check his new toys himself "Haha, ok. It seems everything is here on first sight. Hurry up a bit more, we do have a tight schedule!" Miller motivated his men to speed up the process a bit. At this rate, he could turn Kilo Point into an incredibly strong fortress if it goes on like this.

(I don't know if Mithias has a flare gun, but if he do he could shoot a flare. Miller would respond imediately. Don't think he has the time to contact Miller in person by radio so I think it's the only way if you want some backup ;) )

Magnus was running out of time. The bright flames from the downed fighter jet would be a perfect beacon in the darkness of night. SOLDIER reinforcements would find them and storm the cave. Of course, Mithias was also running out of time. The ancient vampire, Gabriel, was quite capable of stopping Mithais. of course, Mithias didn't speak a word about Gabriel's ultimatum to SOLDIER. He had to make his attempt to kill Magnus fast. It was now or never.

Mithias shook his head at Lightning. "There's nothing I can do. The jet you destroyed has an indestructible homing beacon inside of it. SOLDIER is already on their way." He looked back at Magnus, lifting his titanium-alloy swords. Mithias growled as he spoke. "Your dreams of enslaving humanity disgust me, Magnus. You must be destroyed. Don't even try to flee from me!"

Mithias ducked down slightly as he began his attack. What the other vampires and the human saw was that he split into multiple copies of himself, which went in different directions. Magnus however, could see that it was merely a mind trick to delay the rest of his followers. Moving at supernatural speed, Mithias made a strike from the opposite side that Lightning was on, aiming for the vampire's neck.

Magnus grinned, such parlor tricks were of no use to him. He was a master of illusion in himself, he honed his skill over the many years. Magnus didn't even flinch, he reached out with one his claws and put it on the top of the sword, stepped to the side, and drove his arm down causing the sword and wielder to become disorientated and stumble a bit. Lightning shot the blade whose tip had nearly implanted itself into the ground, she'd hoped Mithias's grip in his disorientated state wouldn't be enough to hold the blade. "Come now Mithias."Magnus said as he turned towards him. "Had you known so much about me, you'd know such petty illusions have no effect on me. You would also know you need precise timing to land such a accurate blow." He briefly looked in the direction of the fire, Mithias was right, if SOLDIER spotted it they'd swarm the area. He instructed his followers to contain and put out the fire as much as possible, he didn't need them, not for this. They stood no match for Mithias anyway. With the amount of water and the speed of the vampires hopefully they could put it out in time.

"You would also know, I never run from a fight I have the upperhand in." He said with a grin. He just stood there mockingly, a few feet from Mithias so he would have time to react to and counter his attacks. Magnus had virtually planned the fight in his mind, he would get wounded, perhaps greatly so, but he would be the victor if his calculations were correct. There wasn't much one could do to surprise a vampire as old as he, but there have been such occasions where something unexpected happend, such as the fight between he and Johnathan.

Mithias had to step quick to recover when his weapon was nearly slung to the ground. Magnus was faster than him, but perhaps not overwhelmingly so. His attack had been serious, but the interception was something he was prepared for. The bullet forcefully pinging off his blade was something he was not so much expecting. Nonetheless, he kept his grip as the metal rang beautifully. He shot an annoyed glance at Lightning. That girl was exceptionally good... or lucky. Mithias was going to have to remove her from the battle. If he pretended to run away, trying to draw Magnus after him, the elder vampire would probably kill the girl just as well for having lost her value to him. There was only one other answer, and she just barely close enough. Mithias used his speed to pull up close to the girl and slash her weapon clean in half. He then pointed one of his blades at Magnus threateningly, never taking his eyes off him. "I suggest you run, girl." He bared his fangs in a sneer. "I'll deal with you later."

Magnus wasn't taking him seriously, yet. Mithias didn't want to reveal too much of his style by attacking too frequently. He baited Magnus, running the clock like he too wasn't also almost out of time.

"New weapons... CHECK! New equipement....CHECK New ar-" Miller got interputed by one of his Soldiers while making a last check of the new equipement "SIR! You should have a look at this!".The soldier handed Miller a binocular and pointed in the dierection of the burning #709. "Ok, either there is someone in big ass trouble and needs our, or we are going right into a trap. Sergeant! Prepare you and your men to move out, we got business to take care of. It seems it is time to test the new equipement~" Miller couldn't wait to move out, this was a great opportunity. Somehow something deep inside him told him that it was that old-blood, what was his name again? Magnus I guess, the unit took care of other old-bloods before, so with the new equipement they should be able to do this...

Lightning flinched a bit when Mithias got close to her, she quickly grabbed the silver cruicfix from her jacket and shoved it directly into Mithias's face. Sure, It wouldn't kill him, but it would temporarily blind him giving them a advantage. She hopped backwards a bit and took defensive aim with her weapon, thankfully the functioning gun half of her weapon was still intact, only much less range. "Lower the blade...you don't understand what you are doing..."Lightning told him in the verge of crying, she truly underestimated Magnus's power, but nonetheless she didn't care the only thing that mattered was he stayed alive so her family did. Aiming her gun with one hand and grabbing the radio communicator on the left side of her jacket with the other she began speaking into it, she knew the vampires wouldn't put the fire out in time, she had to take matters into her own hands. "This is Lightning of 1st Squadron Kilo Point, I saw a huge fire in the forest so I decided to investigate. Nothing more than a few rogue vampires burning bodies that got out of hand in this dry weather, please disregard situation is taken care of. I repeat, disregard." Hopefully they would buy the story giving her more time... Magnus grinned, both at Lightning and Mithias, this boy was merely toying with him.

Neither having shown their full strength yet, Magnus could sense it, Mithias didn't know it. Then there was Lightning, the ever faithful SOLDIER pet, what she didn't fully realize was that he had no intentions of ever setting her family free. "Now now, that's no way to treat a woman Mithias, no matter the circumstance." He said with a chuckle." I wonder, on something entirely different, what might those blades of yours be made of? Hmm? Titanium, Steel, Iron?" One of the main keypoints of his plan was knowing the material Mithias's blades were made out of. If it was made of anything less than tungsten steel, which is what his claws were made of, he could severely weaken the material eventually shattering it. Of course, so long as he didn't overdo it and break his own weapons.

The vampire SOLDIER agent recoiled from the shining crucifix, his long black hair settling against his back some distance from the girl. Did Mithias still possess such a weakness? Was he faking, or was it a reverence for the cross that drove him away? What they didn't know was that it was regret that ailed him. Regret... for failing to kill Gabriel when he was human, and shame for having to live as a vampire ever since.

Mithias bowed his head slightly, dropping his point from Magnus as Lightning tried to dissuade SOLDIER from coming here to investigate. She must have forgotten about the jet's blackbox homing beacon. "They will still come." He repeated.

The blonde girl looked so desperate, near to tears. Mithias pitied her, but said nothing in regard to it. Surely the threat Magnus held against her was steep. The elder vampire however, wasn't taking his bait. Instead, Magnus asked about Mithias' weapons. Mithias furrowed his brow ever so slightly as he worried that Magnus knew something he didn't. What else could explain why he was delaying so? He narrowed his eyes intently. It was time to make this old vampire move. "You heard the ring of my blade. You know well enough what it is made out of. If not, then you will hear it again when I use it to break your claws!" Then Mithias attacked again, slashing and striking several times, swift and calculated, forcing Magnus to respond, and driving him back. The power he had taken from other vampires over the years added to his abilities, giving him an unexpected edge and ferocity. Hopefully, he could move their battle farther away from the girl with the broken gun if he couldn't kill Magnus outright.

Miller was allready moving out with his forces as he recieved Lightning's call "Hmm? Rouge Vampires you say? Well, you know, the rulebook has special orders in case of a situation like this, regarding to this homing beacon there might be something big going on or someone is in big ass trouble. Also many scouts in this area have disappeared so I anyway planned to check it. However, my guts tell me it is the first thing, so we will arrive soon. I mean it's not like you would betray us and lie to us right? So there is nothing to be afraid of... Miller out.." Miller said the last part with a really serious undertone, he already had an assumption what might be the cause of the scouts and patrols disappearing around this certain area...

The massive hovercraft Terebithia floated over Kilo Point at an altitude of ten meters, creating a massive metal roof above the fortress. The powerful humming of the massive antigrav engines fills the area, large glowing blue circles on the steel bottom the only indication of their existence. In between the engines one can see large hatches, from which gun nests and drones would be released in a combat situation, should the opponent manage to get below the battle station. At the side, Terebithia was armed with four missile stations, and a fully armored outside, capable of taking sustained artillery fire. The multiple layers of armor contain large movable sections through which the missiles can be fired, as well as thousands of small firing holes that can be opened and shut. There were pipes that served no obvious purpose, opening up into the air, and undoubtedly Jack's battleship had a few hidden weapons. This was one of SOLDIER's greatest fortresses, standing undefeated.
Jack smiles, as he observes the screens playing out a variety of data. He'd exposed his test subjects to a variety of chemicals, testing them often. He'd done this often, of course, and his human test subjects usually died. Compared to vampires, humans are quite fragile, and thus were more often the victim of Jack's research than their vampire counterparts. He needed humans to compare, naturally, and SOLDIER had given him a steady supply of war criminals and failed recruits to use in testing. And, as it was him leading this department, test had flourished, throwing off many fruits.
However, Jack was missing something. Something he had wished for many years. He wished to experiment with the cells of the oldest known vampire, Gabriel, a figure draped in more myths than Micheal Jackson and Elvis Pressley combined. This was what had drawn the mad scientist to this place. And, as Jack waited for the local commanders to report to his office, he thought to himself of how he would gain those beautiful, beautiful cells.

Martin saw the Terebithia rise over the city behind him. He knew the sight should fill him with shock and awe, it should make him run for the hills, that is what a normal person would feel. Instead there was only one though on his mind when he saw the titan.
"If you're going to fly around in that and NOT play 'Flight of the Valkyries' at max volume, you're just wasting everyone's time."
Oh well. Gabriel hadn't said a word. Didn't matter, as long as he listened.
"Alight, I think we've walked far enough to have our privacy."
Martin walked around Gabriel and stood in front of him so he could look the elder in the eye.

"I brought you here because I have a request. A selfish one, but one I hope you'll find interesting or at least entertaining enough for you to grant it."
He paused to take a breath, soon all of his hard work would pay of. Here goes nothing.
"I want you to sire me!"

Rhyss Blackblade, a SOLDIER Elite, a branch of SOLDIER few know about, only the best of the best are even allowed to comprehend joining this squadron, and Rhyss was just that. He had intercepted the jet's broadcast requesting back-up, as well as the one saying to dis-regard needing back-up. Rhyss simply ignored the part about not coming, he was already streaking across the country-side on his motorcycle, on the chance there was a vampire as old as he SOLDIER wouldn't stand a chance. He reached Kilo Point around in a few hours, he stopped just outside the entrance of the town to examine the destruction as well as light a cigar. He revved the engine and sped into the city, upon reaching what he presumed to be the HQ of the area going by the amount of equipment and SOLDIER outside he hit the brakes and screeched to a stop just in front of a guy examining a rifle. The guy had jumped to the side in fear of getting run over, Rhyss simply grinned and kicked the brake down.

He got off the bike and walked through the workzone where equipment was getting examined and loaded, to someone(Miller) who seemed to be in control of the current situation. "I'll take it you are the one overseeing the current operations." Rhyss said with a gesture towards the SOLDIER working away and loading the gear. "Well, Consider yourself relieved of your posistion. You will all now take orders from me, that is, if you don't want to completely destroy this city and it's base with the slight chance of killing your target." Referring to the heavy equipment as well as the flying fortress of doom above him. He knew quite well what the flying warship was as well as well as it's owner, Jack, a crazy ass scientist obessed with experminting on human's and vampires alike. Though, he'd sooner kill everyone in Kilo Point and extract his target before risking harm to it.

Rhyss didn't even wait for a response before entering the base and walking to the office quarters where all the files and documents were kept, he opened the door to find someone in it sitting at the desk conversing with someone on the phone. He had came in at the end of the conversation just before the man slammed the phone down on the desk, he had heard the name Magnus along with the words 'must be killed'. So..it was Magnus who had done this and was now threatning Rhyss's plans. Rhyss grinned inwardly, he knew Magnus quite well from a encounter or two as well as extensive documation on him available to only the highest ranking personnel.

Rhyss strolled over to the desk casually and said "I'll assume you hold some sort of high ranking posistion here? Well, as of now you are temporarily relieved of duty. I need ALL documents and informations regarding the current state of Kilo Point." The man at the desk stared blankly for a moment before talking. "I don't exactly know who the hell you are but I am the CO of this place and I take orders from no one without being properly informed. As far as I am concerned you can get the hell out of my office and do something productive like helping Miller set up defenses."

Rhyss sat there with his same smart ass smirk on his face. "I'm Rhyss Blackblade, SOLDIER Elite, not that the likes of YOU would have the proper clearance to have detailed information on me. All you need to know is I outrank you, and everyone else in this damn base. Now, shut the hell up, and get me the files I need." he replied. Then Matt noticed it, the SOLDIER Elite insignia on the chest of Rhyss's vest. He tossed all the current information on the situation onto the desk in front of Rhyss. "There, read it. Won't be much help." Matt told him.

Magnus simply grinned as he stepped back from Mithias's advance, he watched the methodical motions of Mithias's attacks. Then, he decided to strike, ducking under the blades at just the right moment, rolling to the side, and slashing the tendon on Mithias's right foot before standing up. It wouldn't keep him down for long, nor did Magnus intend on killing him just yet.

Mithias attacked with fury and intent, which did in fact compel his opponent to move to avoid death or serious injury. The blades he wielded could have severed even a vampire's limb. Each strike he followed up with another, and every one of them falling just short of drawing blood. Mithias watched in a fraction of a moment as he sheared the very ends of some of Magnus' hairs. The oldblood was being very careful, and the younger vampire recognized the look of focus in his eyes.

With a graceful, yet complex roll, Magnus unexpectedly dropped down and slashed the back of Mithias' right foot. The black-haired vampire stifled a cry as he simultaneously slashed in the direction he saw Magnus drop, just barely making contact with flesh. Magnus might not even have realized he had been cut, as the wound was not nearly as bad as that suffered by Mithias.

The pain wasn't severe, but poor Mithias was lame. He quickly stood to face Magnus, keeping his weapons up defensively as he steadied himself mostly on his left leg. Blood split on the rocky ground from his wound, much to the delight of his enemy. He would of course heal quickly, but it was doubtful Magnus would give him enough time for that to happen. Mithias was going to have to be more cautious, for any further mistakes could be his neck.

Mithias shook his head. "I won't let you enslave humanity, Magnus."

Magnus grinned evily, flashing his razor sharp teeth in the moonlight "You see Mithias, you are not in any posistion to say differently. Sure, your current injury will regenerate shortly, but what makes you think that is the extent of what I am capable of? You are far too predictable, your own actions shall be your death." He told him. "Now, die." He dashed forward, veering to the right so as to end up on the right side of Mithias, he'd hoped his injury would cause it to be near impossible for him to re-act efficiently and in time, and drove his claws into the side of his chest, hoping to strike his heart.

Mithias' knew exactly the moment that Magnus was charging. Centuries of training and fighting against other vampires had given him unparalleled skills among his kind, as well as among the SOLDIER elite. But the fact was, proper movement was going to be impossible with a critical tendon broken. Magnus could match his speed, which left no room for error. There was only one other option left, to sacrifice himself to take the renegade oldblood down.

Instead of ineptly dodging, Mithias unexpectedly attacked into Magnus' attack, taking the right hand set of claws into his chest while simultaneously driving his right sword through Magnus, trying to hit his heart as well. Mithias believed with total certainty, that this was his one and only chance to kill Magnus, for he himself was undoubtedly dead. The two clashed, blades piercing deep on both side, and for a moment, both remained standing. Neither of them had managed a lethal strike.

Almost immediately, Mithais brought up his left hand sword in an attempt to slice across Magnus' neck. The clang of metal on metal suprised him as he realized Magnus had trapped his blade in between the claws of his free hand. Eye to eye, they defied each other, sharp fangs bared. Deep in Mithias' eyes a red fire burned dimly, for within him lived a piece of the immortal vampire soul.

Magnus simply grinned when the blade struck him in his chest, if he did have a heart the blow would have killed him, he'd expected as much. Moments later Mithias attempted a attack with the left sword, Magnus caught it inbetween his claws. He twisted his arm, righted himself on his legs, and kicked directly into Mithias's chest sending him sprawling and now missing a sword. He grabbed it with his now free right hand, turned, and through it off through the forest. He heard a rather large thwack as it dug into a tree someone in the distance. "Give up boy, while you still have your life." Magnus told him. Then he realized something, if he could have one spy planted in SOLDIER, why not two? Or even better, a hostage. Magnus grinned inwardly, he knew if he tried to outright trap him Mithias would either kill himself or get himself killed trying to kill. He would wait...exhaust him..then he would strike.

Launched a short distance into a tree, Mithias picked himself up as quickly as he could. In truth, he staggered, and it took a full moment to get off his knee. Thankfully, he'd managed to hold onto his now blood-covered right hand sword, for all the good it would do him. Clutching his terrible chest wound to stem the bleeding, he lifted his gaze questioningly at Magnus. Why had the old vampire not died? Mithias himself must have been extremely lucky. Blood dripped from the old vampire's chest, in the correct location, but Magnus had not been destroyed. It was then that Mithias realized how heartless Magnus really was. He cursed under his breath as he felt doubt begin to sink in. There could be no victory without hope.

As Magnus got closer, Mithias stood once more, one hand on his chest and the other on his weapon.
