As you enter the worn down library, you notice the interior is mostly in shambles, bookcases either broken, or fallen over one another. Off to the right, you see some of the foundation starting to crumble away due to neglect, you strongly believe the building will come down upon at any moment. To the left is an elderly man fast asleep with a book against his chest, it's title was too faded for you to make out the words, but you assume it's contents to be boring. You clear your throat, raising the man from his slumber, causing the book to fall to the floor. On the page, you can see a name in large letters: Tyme Ishinara. The man notices your sudden change in facial expressions, "So, you want to know more about this man, eh? You must be from what remains of Avenase in this era. I take it you're on a quest to figure out how he saved the world from destruction?" he asks, picking up the book carefully, as if it were important. You nod. "Well then, before you can understand him, you must understand what he went through, the losses he faced. You must forget all the stories you've heard, and everything you've read about him, they're not real. He was never a monster, he was a hero, a hero for all of Doria." the man tells you, setting the book on the desk in front of him. The man leads you to the only standing bookcase, pulling on a book which activated a hidden door beside the bookcase. Behind the door was a locked glass container, inside it held three very large books.
The man opens it and pulls out the first and second ones, locking the case again before returning to you, "This book contains all the historic events in our history, beginning with the first Goddess' War, to the creation of the Three Hundred Crater. After that, the writer never bothered to record anymore significant events." he said, turning the book to face you. The title was simple: The History of Doria. "This book is the real story of Tyme Ishinara, Hero of Avenase, Dragon Guardian of Doria. This book contains everything he did, everyone he met, and everything he lost." he turns that book to you as well. It's title read: The Rebellion of Avenase. You reach for the book and begin to open it, only to feel the man's hand stopping you, "Be warned, once you have read and understood his plight, you will never look at Doria the same way again." he says before letting your hand go. You nod, opening the book and reading the first line: "It all started when The Imperial Empire and The Red Sun Guard declared war with each other. It pit Avenase and Tormin , the last two habitable continents, into a state of anarchy. I lost my sister, Azure, many years ago. If only I knew back then what darkness would come for me, I could have prevented this war, and 'she' would still be alive today."
Now, this is of course, a Final Fantasy roleplay. That means images, magic, weapons, etc can be used in the creation of your character. However, there are limitations on these at the start, for obvious reasons. Your weapon will be basic, whether it be a rod or a gunblade, it doesn't matter. Magic is a bit different in this created world known as Doria. There is no such thing as death magic, just as there is no life/raise magic. Gravity magic exists, but it is in a class of it's own, and neither part of the Destructive Aspect or the Curative Aspect of the magic spectrum. Gravity is slightly less on Doria than it is on earth, so it is possible to spin while flipping in the air, however, even that is limited because of openings it creates. Now, there are three specific magics that are not allowed to be used, they are as follows: Meteor, Holy, and Ultima. These are sealed away during the RP for plot purposes.
Now, I'm sure you're wondering what the RP is about, so I'll tell you. It's about two people that fight their fates, while remaining opponents on the field of war between Tormin and Avenase, the last two habitable continents on Doria. I will be playing one of the two people, Tyme Ishinara, while the other spot is open to be claimed by any female character. The RP will begin the day before war is declared, when Tormin and it's Matriarch, Luna Bladedancer, are in a panic. Feel free to create a character based off any of the races in the game series, I have no limits or restrictions in that regard. I do have maps created for the RP, and I will post them whenever I get around to doing it. I will, however, place one picture on restriction, Cloud Strife. That is the image used for Tyme's appearance. Aside from that, all other pictures are free game and awarded to those who have fully completed and approved CS's. Now, without further ado.
Some info on Avenase and Tormin, along with a small blurb about Haruga's purpose.
Avenase: Largest of the three remaining continents, the Imperials homeland, and location of several large specialized research laboratories. Due to the massive size, it has been divided in proportion to each area's respective location. Northern Avenase, Eastern Avenase, Southern Avenase, Western Avenase, and Central Avenase. The hub of the Empire rests in Central Avenase, while the Imperial Fleet Are scattered evenly throughout the entire nation. Despite their superior airships, the people of Avenase are not as apt with magic, relying far too much on their advanced technology. However, while the army is fed and maintained perfectly, the populace itself isn't. King Armond starves his people, and even conscripts those who cannot pay taxes. There have been whispers of rebellion stirring in Avenase, however, there is no one to lead this rebellion. For now, the rebels bide their time, hoping to one day rise up against the tyrant Armond.
Tormin: Smallest of the three continents, though extremely fertile and untouched by the Empire's machinations. It is ruled by Matriarch Luna Bladedancer, a peaceful individual, though not born with any magic herself. Tormin's fertile lands allow magic to flow freely, thus granting newborns with magical blood. which awakens on their sixteenth birthday. The continent of Tormin holds no ill-will towards Avenase, despite it's king's actions. They receive refugees from Avenase almost daily, and still have enough food to feed themselves and more if need be. Their naval fleet is unparalleled on the water, even the most heavily outfitted airship finds trouble sinking a single warship. Tormin's populace worships the Goddess Eden, the creator of Doria, and of all living things. However, despite the appearance, Tormin has a very valuable device in it's capital, Moro Zera. The device does two things, opens and closes the gateway to an alternate Doria, which has been called Dark Doria. The second function is an impenetrable shield which covers the entire continent, it is the sole reason why Tormin has been able to survive.
Haruga: The middle of the two continents is Haruga, which sits up north. Armond conquered it with ease, then turned it into the ideal prison, due to the harsh weather. Doria's inhabitant's once called Haruga, The Goddess' Memory, because that is where the final battle between the Goddess Eden and the Goddess Ultima took place. It serves as a reminder of an ancient time when Doria once had eleven continents, and what one man did in pursuit for power. In this modern time, it's now revered to as 'The Forgotten Continent', due to the fact that anybody sent there, is never heard from again.
Any questions, ask, and I'll answer them.
