The thing I usually look forward to the most is the chocolate cream pie my aunt brings. We can't get it around here.

I look forward to the turkey most, because my dad makes the best turkey and for like a week its turkey sandwiches and casserole. Haha I've oddly never really cared for chocolate pies though myself.

Our turkey is pretty good. My dad makes it, by taking it to the driveway and frying it in a vat of peanut oil. It's great guy time for him and his brother in law. Just chilling in the driveway watching the turkey and drinking beer. I'm usually in charge of setting the table and baking the rolls, and sometimes I gotta entertain my little cousins a bit.

Oh nice, I've always heard that it is super dangerous to do it like that. We usually bake ours over night. I make the greenbean casserole but I'm the youngest so I don't really have to cook very much. Our family never comes over, either we go there or its just the four of us and anyone who doesn't have family to eat with.

We always had medium sized thanksgivings. I think we used to alternate between my grandma on my dad's side and my grandparents on my mom's side for thanksgivings, but when both my grandmothers died, we started hosting it at our house, where it's been like 90% my dad's side of the family, and then we'd bring my remaining grandfather over. My boyfriend wanted me to join his family for thanksgiving, but I can't abandon my mom and dad for the holiday now. Not when in the past year my grandfather died and my brother moved away and can't make it back.

Ugh, between trying to do what's best for my family and seeing my brother and trying to spend time with my boyfriend, this is gonna be a tricky holiday season. I'll probably be doing a lot of driving and spending a lot of money, because I got Christmas, and Hanukkah, and my mom's birthday, and my boyfriend's birthday, within like a week of each other.

I was rereading your reply, starting to formulate my reply, and I just realized something - Jaspin's furious that Elizabeth is robbing him of the release of death. But vampires can be killed. It can happen. After he's turned, does he ever put a concentrated effort into dying?

Oh man that is gonna be tricky! I don't figure that you could try and talk one into having it a day earlier. No, probably not. Do they at least live close to eachother? Cause thats a crap load of driving back and forth.

Hmm...I'm not for sure really. I want to say yes, he has tried to kill himself a few times. But didn't know how to do it, and then he got over Elizabeth and got used to it.

Like two, two and a half hours apart. Not really what one wants to spend so much time on on Christmas, driving on the highway. Yeah, I have no idea how to reasonably spend both of their birthdays with them. I'm gonna spend a fortune on gas.

Alright. I was kind of figuring as much.
Hah, that just gave me a great idea for a moment. When they meet again, Elizabeth (who's of course going to be incredibly bitter towards him) might oh so helpfully offer to kill him herself if he still wants to die so badly.
She probably thinks she means it, but if by some chance he calls her bluff, she definitely wouldn't be able to kill him.
Whether Jaspin knows that for sure is up to you.

Oh well I mean that's not too bad of a drive. I figure on Christmas the traffic won't be that bad. Well I mean if it was me, I'd bring both gifts to the first birthday and tell them I can't come to both but the other to save their present until their birthday.

Haha oh that would be interesting!!
You know part of me sees him, not really seeing her bluff, but knowing that if she really wanted him dead she had years to try.
So I see him being like "I've tried a thousand times Elizabeth, go ahead."

Edit: Which on that note, he would likely have scars huh?

Maybe. I dunno right now. I gotta get through thanksgiving before I start really making plans.

That's kinda depressing but at the same time I like it. If he said it like that, she'd probably brush it off, not taking it that seriously, but a little relieved he doesn't truly want her to try.

Yeah, he probably would. Vampire skin doesn't really heal, so if any of his attempts resulted in anything, it'd be there forever.

Yeah, hopefully it doesn't go that bad for you and your able to figure something out.

Right, the super sad part is that its actually true too. But I think that will be how he says it, or close to it. Because I kind of like the idea of her not taking him seriously and then her seeing that he is.

True. So is there no way to make it actually heal over time then.

Well you said vampire skin is really tough though. I do think he would have a scar/wound from his first attempt, which was when he was brand new and tried the whole knife to the heart thing. It wouldn't have went very far though.
