Cassius was jolted by Arachne's sudden outburst of speech, quickly ceasing his actions, getting a blanket thrown on him quickly after. The petentem seemed to whine, he disliked the feeling of being shrouded in such a way, covered completely, he couldn't even find his way out of it. He began wriggling around, trying to find escape, his tail swaying back and forth as he began to scratch the blanket. With ease he tore it to shreds, hopefully his caretaker wouldn't be angry, he heard a small whimper and turned in Arachne's direction.

He was wondering if she was okay, had it been because of his destruction if her blanket? It was then that he noticed the darkness of the room and how quiet it was, he was picking up the sound of her breathing and heartbeat though. Tilting his head to the side he slowly crawled toward the female's bedside, standing at full height and staring down at her out of curiosity. She seemed sad, maybe he could cheer her up, he pressed his muzzle against her face and sniffed her, his long, sticky, saliva-coated tongue darted out of his mouth and graced against her face.

He wasn't sure if he was allowed to lay on her bed, he doubted it even more now especially with the fact that he had attempted to clean himself. A soothing purring sound could easily be heard, It was him, trying to be the slightest bit comforting, the darkness of the room would have awakened his predatory instincts but not against her. He wondered, she seemed that she detested leaving her room so much, maybe he could help her, but first he'd have to figure out how. Then another wonder went over him, he was slightly unsure about doing such a thing but if this was who he would be around then he would at least show her his humanity.

Shadows that seemed to glow wand carried a slight silver color and enveloped the large beast. The coil of shadows shrunk from its rather large size before fading to reveal a young man, his hair white and slightly spiky, his eyes ash grey, he had a very athletic physique and was overall physically attractive. A smile was upon his face, being ever so gentle he tapped the female. A glow seemed to emit from his clenched fist, opening it a small blast flame lit up a small portion of the room. He knelt down next to the side of Arachne's bed, the flame illuminated his face. "Hello miss Arachne, my name is Cassius...may I rest her with you?" He asked in a soft and gentle tone, the question brought about a nervous blush, one that he hadn't experienced before. Cassius did indeed require rest, changing back into human form took a lot of energy out of him, he'd require food if he wanted to ever change back into a beast. There was the possibility of overexhaustion if he rapidly changed back and forth.

"Go away..." She whimpered and wiped the saliva off of her head and grunted in disgust, the beast was exactly like a dog, what a bother.
Soon, the room lit up somewhat. Strange, the beast clearly didn't have the thumbs to turn on a light. She heard a voice behind her which made her shiver. Oh god, who's in my room?

Arachne gasped slightly and quickly sat up, she turned around and extended her right arm, releasing the grip from her pillow. With all of her strength - Which is a lot of strength, more than a human's - she slapped Cassius abruptly against his cheek to get him away from her. "M-M-M-Man!" She yelped.
Where was the dog creature, oh god this can't be; The creature was him. Why hadn't he told her? He could've done it at any moment, why now while she was having a moment of grief!? "WHY DIDN'T YOU TELL ME THIS EARLIER!?" She raised her voice to a staggering yell, "I can't believe you lead me on to believe you were a stupid woodland animal!" She threw the pillow aside and tackled him, sitting on top of his torso with her hands pinching his cheeks, "You imbecile, I feel completely humiliated!"

She was livid, seething with rage, Arachne couldn't describe how mad she felt, the first time in four years she felt angry. Her eyes, which glowed blue in the center began to burn a dark red color, her mood swung uncontrollably, from calm, to sad, to humiliated, to blistering fury, all happening in a day. "You couldn't have given me at least one hint, just one..." She cried and let go of his cheeks to facepalm herself with both hands, "I can't believe this is happening to me! Me of all people!"
She was a socially awkward miscreant with no means necessary to control her emotions, she felt so torn and right now she feels as though all of her trust had been flushed down the toilet of regret. This isn't how she wanted things to go, not at all. If only there weren't new people here, if only things stayed the way they were.

Now hearing the words being spoken, it recognized the speech as Common. The words were odd for it to hear, but at the same time they offered a modicum of relief. At the very least, it was far from its old world, where the language was dead, along with any races that might have spoke it. A small grin might have formed when it noticed the sole non-magical being address it, if only for the briefest of moments. Her choice of words was a bit odd since it didn’t really have a gender, none of its kind did. Then again, his form was distinctly one of the male variety amongst humanoids, so she wasn’t incorrect either. He didn’t respond with gestures, being unfamiliar with them, nor words, not seeing a point. Instead he turned his attention to the other denizens of this strange place.

Two left too quickly for him to get anything more than a cursory glance at either of them, the humanoid of the two scrambling away after some panicked words. The other two that remained didn’t look too different from the non-magica. Sure one of them held her head detached from the rest of her body, but he had seen far worse and stranger before. He was more curious as to their capabilities, what they could command magic to do for them. For now, curiosity could take a back seat to finding out more about exactly where he had found himself though. His voice was raspy as if it hadn’t been used for a long time, and indeed it hadn’t, but he spoke nevertheless. “Curious indeed, it’s overflowing with energy. How has this existed?” He was genuinely interested if anyone could give him an answer - a place like this wouldn't have lasted in his old world as untold numbers would have flocked to it for a chance to taste such a large amount of energy. This world was different from his own, but he needed to know how different.

Cassius put his hands up defensively when her hand went back, she looked to be making the motion of slapping him. His eyes widened, as strong as he was he had been much more vulnerable in this form, he wasn't going to use his abilities against her. Explanation would be the only way, maybe she'd calm down after he told her everything. "Wait let me explai-" His speech was cut off the very second Arachne's hand made contact with his face, he face went a full 180 degrees to the right, he turned back to face her.

In truth it stung quite a bit, it took a some trying to refrain from wincing, he looked toward her as she yelled. Gasping as he was tackled down by the female, he held back a defensive snarl as he cheeks were pinched, he understandably deserved the pain she inflicted on him. "I-..." He was drowned out by her yelling, he had no idea how he could have told her in his true form. Truthfully he was sorry for putting her through such hurt, the angry look in her eyes was obvious.

He waited for her to finish venting before working his hands from under her, reaching up and pulling her hands away from her face. "Please, let me explain..." He spoke, gracing his hand from down her forearms to her wrists, and to her fingertips. His eyes wandered subtly, viewing her skull face before staring back into her now red eyes. "I didn't know how to tell you earlier, I apologize for making you feel this way.." He said in a slightly saddened tone, thinking that this would mean his removal from the room. "This was not my intention, I try not to harm people." He said, looking away from her finally. "I especially apologize for harming someone like you..." He admitted, he was sorry and he didn't know what else to do at this time, he couldn't change back, it could kill him. "I....if you wish, I will leave..." Cassius spoke.
