Kjolmar used to be the geeky assistant of Professor Juniper at her lab in Nuvema Town (Unova) and was later replaced by Bianca. Juniper suggested that Kjolmar could travel to Professor Sycamore's laboratory in Lumiose City in order to assist in the research concerning mega evolution. And thus Kjolmar and his squirtle called 'Coop' (his very first pokémon) made their way to the Kalos region on the back of Kjolmar's Hydreigon. There, he met the trainer Olli who had came all the way from Sinnoh in order to defeat the Kalos gym leaders. Kjolmar's Squirtle Coop and Olli's Chimchar seemed to share a strong bond and since Olli also has an Absol, Sycamore thought it would be a good idea if Kjolmar followed Olli on his quest. That way he could study mega evolution in the field and at the same time maintain the friendship between Coop and Chimchar. During their quest, Kjolmar befriended and captured an Espurr.

Pokemon;

Chimchar, Male.

Chimchar is Olli's starter pokemon, and the only one who he hasnt nicknamed. He was given Chimchar by Professor Rowan in Sinnoh.

Diana, the Absol. Female.

Diana was the first pokemon Olli caught in Sinnoh, after Diana rescued him and Chimchar from falling down a chasm.

Lunar, the Eevee. Female.

Lunar was Olli's first Kalos born pokemon, which he caught due to her playful nature and the unusual cresent scar on her forehead.

Apollo, the Zorua. Male.

Apollo was given to him by his younger sister Persephone,she told him it would help him, however the only thing different about Apollo Olli has noticed is its unusual blue colour instead of red. Zorua is playful and mischievous due to being able to transform appearance.

What we know about Olli so far:

- Olli is originally from Celestic Town in Sinnoh.
- Olli earned all badges in Sinnoh, but did not do the pokemon leauge for some reason.
- Olli has traveled through other regions but it is unkown if he caught any pokemon or earned any badges.
- Olli teamed up with Kjolmar to defeat his first Kalos badge.
- Olli caught Lunar.
- Olli is Cynthia's twin brother. Cynthia is the Sinnoh champion.
- Olli used to have a Lucario name Aro. However he hasnt told anyone what happened.
- Olli received Apollo from his sister Persephone.
- Olli was given a strange stone by Professor Sycamore, this stone was later revealed to be an Absolite by Kjolmar. Its use is still unknown.
