trapped in a school

After a hard day of school two people be they teachers or students find themselves trapped in the school. The reason is that all of the machinery controlling the advanced steel gates over all the exits suddenly fail due to age and neglect. The steel gates slam down locking the school down making it impossible to enter or leave. The school was built to last through a month long lock down with every student safe in the building. What will happen.
