Sighing quietly, a dark figure lurked down the dimmed halls of the castle. It glanced at the mirrors which the figure quickly cloaked before scurrying to the room at the end of the hall. Sitting on the large bed with thick curtains, it looked down at its large gray hands and shook its head.
"It's hopeless..." it said softly in a deep masculine voice. He stood up and stared at the stained glass window. "It's been twelve years! It's hopeless!"
Tears began to sting his caramel eyes. "There's nothing left for me. No one will love a beast like me." He covered his hands and sank to his knees as his body shook from his soft sobs.
