She was in the office early this morning, getting ready to do the morning announcements along with her friend, Kaitlyn, who she adored so much. Her eyes flickered when Kaitlyn entered the building and an instant smile danced across her features. Kaitlyn came closer to her and smiled but they knew that since they were fixing to do the morning announcements, they had to keep quiet until they were done. Sabrina looked at the office secretary, who was busy handling the tardy students and making sure that they keep quiet during the announcements and the pledge. "We're ready." Sabrina spoke softly while the secretary snapped her fingers and placed her index finger over her lips, signaling for everyone to keep quiet. Kaitlyn and Sabrina did the pledge and the announcements then everything went back to normal. Kaitlyn and Sabrina gave each other a hug and said that it was great as ever.
Sabrina grabbed her purse and her book-bag and was fixing to exit the office but then principal came up to her and handed her a piece of paper, with people's names on them. "Your name is on that list as well. Can you find those people for me and bring them to the auditorium?" He asked kindly of her as she reviewed over the list then lifted her head to meet his gaze with a smile then nodded her head. "Sure thing, Mr. Daniels." She turned heel then left the office building while lifting the paper up again and rolling her eyes with sigh as she first stopped by her locker and put her book-bag in it then went on to gather the other five people from the list.
"Hey guys." She waved at them. Some of them she knew, some of them she didn't. Her flashed over towards Paul for a moment and a small blush began to spread among her chest as she straightened up and cleared her throat. "Anyways, follow me." Sabrina said while turning around and waving her index finger for them to follow her as her heels clicked against the hallway floor then the concrete as she exited the building.
Sabrina escorted them towards the auditorium, where there was at least six people in white lab coats standing there and smiling. She sat down in the front as her eyes flashed over everyone else then back up towards the odd looking scientists. One of the scientists step forth and speaks. "Welcome ladies and gentleman, thanks for showing up here today." He said while passing it on to other scientist. "We are producing this new project called "The Changed" and you guys are our handpicked selects for this project." Sabrina body just froze when she heard the change. What are they changing? Why are they changing something about us? She wanted to ask these questions so bad but just waited until they were done as she scanned over everyone else again, seeing if they were frozen in place like she was.
"We have already contacted your parents and they are in the office waiting on you guys to say goodbye. More will be explained later. Alright? See you guys then." One of the scientist said. Sabrina was one of the first to jump up and exit the auditorium, marching towards the office. Before she could even make it there, two people in black suits grabbed her and shoved her in the back of a van.
Sooner or later, the other five went thrown back there with her.
After all of them were in the back of the van, someone pounded on the back of the van and it sped off. Heavy breathing could be heard coming from Sabrina as she eyed everyone. She wondered where they were going and hoped that this project was completely harmless. She didn't sign up for anything like this or she think she didn't. A soft sigh escaped over her parted lips as she wanted to break the silence. "Am I the only one that is confused about what is going on?" She asked towards them then felt the van come to a screeching stop as she tumbled down on the floor. "Ouch." She mumbled then got back up and dusted herself off.
She wondered where they were as fear came over her body again. She was frozen and couldn't move a muscle. Her eyes flickered back up towards everyone else and tried to read their reactions but didn't even bother to try. She heard the driver and passenger door slam shut and just waited for the back of the van to open up, which didn't until ten minutes later. Each student was escorted off the van and brought into a cafeteria, where people handed them an already prepared plate and something to drink. Sabrina grabbed her plate with a crooked smile then sat at the only table that was place in there.
Before eating she reviewed over her food and waited to see if someone was going to eat before her. If that person didn't collapse and die then she would eat her own food.
