Short Bio: Yumiko was born in Osaka to a poor, but hard working family. Her mother was a hostess at a sushi bar while her father was a farmer and a part time writer for comedy shows in Tokyo, which explains how Yumiko got her bizarre sense of humor, and Yumiko....took whatever little odd jobs she could find, whether it was tending to gardens, painting houses, and some...unmentionable stuff she would like stricken from the record <.< (
"Donkey-chan ne?" *shudders*), but despite how much yen she and her family pulled together, it seemed as if the walls were closing in on them. Yumiko, her newfound musical talent just blossoming, wished deeply she could study abroad and further her virtuoso education, and while it seemed for her folks....a dead dream, Yumiko was a never say die kinda girl. So one day, she devised a sure fire and almost cost free plan, in her own honest opinion, to travel to the US and attend an American college. Her parents were indeed confused and almost shocked at what Yumiko had told them, but if anything they'd want more for their daughter, it was to attend a prestiguous school and follow her dream. So the next few days after her plan had been set in motion, a UPS truck parked outside California University and a wooden crate was left on the grounds of the University's campus. Guess who's in that crate? That's right, thanks to her small stature (4'11'' and only 109 lbs), Yumiko was able to fit inside a crate and have it mailed to the University of California, meaning her parents were able to skip the costs of buying plane tickets and whatnot. Now....if only she knew how to get out of this damn thing. ^_^;
Personality: There's not really much words that come to mind when describing Yumiko other than....quirky, a bit out of touch with the real world, and possibly insane....yeah...insane alright. Yumiko is a very cheerful and eccentric young girl and usually likes to do things out of the box....quite literally if you consider how she came to the US. ^_^; She's quite sociable at times and loves to talk to people, although not knowing much English. When she's either angry or frustrated, she tends to slip into her native Japanese. Although she is kind, there is a bit of a sadistic side to her, and if anyone is to cross her....they may be the victim of some very extravagant and definitely embarassing prank. Just ask the guy who woke up going down a water slide in a pink speedo after throwing wasabi at Yumiko's face <.<
Likes: Playing her guitar and singing LOUD!!!, classical, rock and punk, electronic dance music, and dubstep, spicy foods, sour candy of any sort, videogames (unless they're too hard, then she'll rage-quit <.<), sometimes playing piano and violin, being lazy alot of times, PANCAKES YAY', Hayao Miyazaki films, pulling pranks on people
Dislikes: Pop music, anything sweet flavored, preppy/stuck-up snobby people and bullies, sports of any kind (unless it's paintball or airsoft....or dodgeball....), bright colored clothing, wearing a uniform, people taking advantage of others, weird people staring at her, comments about her hair always being in her face(that's just the way she likes it cut, shaddup! <.<), food thiefs, and praying mantises (she HATES them!!) Oh and she hates algebra.
Abilities: Well....she's a very talented musician, if that accounts for something. <.< She even brought her own guitar.
