Character's Name: Stella J. Yong
Nicknames: “The Snake”
Gender: Female
Age: 25
Appearance:
Special Skills: Military, pilot & officer training, limited mechanical knowledge
Genetic Type: Natural/Newtype
Personality: Her time at the academy and officer candidate school has honed Stella into a sharp-edged, decisive soldier, if a little irregular in her methods. Content to fulfill her obligations to the best of her ability, Stella pursues results over methods. Whatever will do the job most efficiently is more often the answer. To this end, she is willing to overlook face value and see for herself what works and what doesn’t.
As a person, she gets along easily with those around her, saving lasting impressions until after she has gotten to know others. However, she is realistic and intuitive when it comes to judging people she has yet to meet. While in military settings, she is less emotional and more rational, she ultimately has strong moral convictions.
History: Native to Hong Kong, Stella’s parents moved to Orb as her father’s new job at Morgenroete Inc. required. The other primary reason for immigrating to Orb was to avoid the brewing tension that surrounded OMNI and ZAFT; as a neutral nation, Orb would be the safest and most ideal place to raise a family, or so they believed. Stella turned out to be a healthy, active child and her parents were very proud to have such a girl for a daughter. Although a Newtype, her abilities would not manifest themselves until later, and to everyone’s knowledge, she was a normal human. By the time she was a young teenager, Stella took an interest in the nature of her father’s work and began immersing herself in visits to his office and the plant in which he worked in. At this time, the G-Project and the Astrays were still much a secret and mobile suit technology was still unknown to the general public.
Stella’s interest in mobile armors took a turn when she announced she’d enlist with the Orb Military. Not content with simply admiring them, Stella leapt at the opportunity to sit inside one at the controls. The notion unnerved her parents, who originally sought a peaceful environment for the family. The idea of their daughter joining the military was a surprise. Stella, however, convinced them that being a neutral nation, military service in Orb would hardly be as dangerous as they thought. After much persistence, they gave up resisting and Stella set off to the naval academy.
The road to an officer’s rank was long and arduous, with a great deal of time spent on military-based academia and physical exertion. Stella preferred books to workouts, although did what was asked of her without batting an eye. It was the street kids and mavericks that caught the ire of the administration, and she was in no mood to draw unwanted attention to herself. When the subject of her schooling focused more on the operation and nature of mobile armors is when Stella started to shine as soldier material, and as a Newtype. The simulators were the most exciting thing she’d experienced so far at the academy, and a majority of her free time was spent inside the machines. Stella’s class started to acknowledge a reputation for her abilities in the sim room, and long lines of curious students became commonplace, each awaiting their turn to try to take on “Stella the Snake.” Her nickname was earned by her irregular maneuvering; combinations of zig-zags and awkward angles frustrated her opponents.
At the end of Stella’s academy term, she graduated an Ensign, with pilot status. From there, she was assigned to the Heliopolis colony, learning it was a location “of strategic importance.” She would not know the details until later…
Character's Gundam/Mobile Suit:
GAT-X303 Aegis GundamDesignated as the commander unit of the Alliance's G Project due to its enhanced communication and analysis capabilities, Aegis also has heavy attack power as well as Phase Shift armor and can transform into a mobile armor (MA) due to its X300-series frame. In MA mode, it has two different modes, 'cruise' and 'attack'. When in 'MA cruise mode', Aegis has higher speed and acceleration, while in 'MA attack mode', it can grab onto enemy ships/mobile suits with its four limbs and/or destroy them using the "Scylla" 580mm energy cannon. Other weaponry used by the suit includes two head-mounted CIWS, a hand-held 60mm beam rifle, a shield and a beam saber in each limb. Aegis also has a large sensor unit mounted at the top of its head and unlike most suits, its main thrusters seem to be mounted in the side binders, which are located at the waist. Due to the transformation system, Aegis's internal structure is more complex and it is for this reason that there are no mass production variants of the suit. Having three different modes (MS mode, MA cruise mode and MA attack mode) also means that Aegis's pilot needs to have higher skills to be able to use the suit effectively.List of Gundam/mobile suit's weapons & equipment:
-"Igelstellung" 75mm Multi-Barrel CIWS
Mounted in the Aegis's head are two "Igelstellung" 75mm multi-barrel CIWS guns. These light projectile weapons are used to intercept missiles and to destroy lightly armored vehicles, although it is classified as Anti Air.-Beam Saber x4
Aegis is equipped with four beam sabers that are mounted on the forearms and feet rather than hand-carried, all four can be wielded simultaneously, in either mobile suit or mobile armor configuration.-
ShieldA simple anti-beam coated shield that can be mounted on its left arm and can be stored on the side binders.-"Scylla" 580mm Energy Cannon
A powerful energy cannon that is usable only in Aegis's 'MA attack mode'. It is the largest caliber beam weapon to be mounted on a G Project mobile suit and likely to be the strongest, it has enough power to tear through the entire width of an Earth Alliance battle ship.-
60mm High Energy Beam RifleAegis Gundam's main ranged weapon when in MS mode, it is hand-held when in used and can be stored on the side binders.-Phase Shift armor
As with all of the G Project mobile suits, the GAT-X303 Aegis is equipped with phase shift armor. When activated the Aegis's color is changed from a light grey to a bright red scheme with a bit of black and white mixed in. Phase Shift armor, when activated, renders the Aegis immune to physical attacks such as bullets, the GINN sword, or against missiles. However Phase Shift armor continually drains the battery of energy, shortening the mobile suit's combat endurance, and uses up additional energy when it is hit.
