"If this where a ruse my minions here would already have shot you,or I would have thrown up on you by now or the green gas would seep quickly from my pores and into you as soon as I stepped forward. I could have made you both stroll happily to Marcus's office as soon as the electric field was brought down." Flint quipped as he took a few steps towards the walls his minions had been shooting at "They where aiming rather high don't you think..." Flint said showing them the bullet holes "But my control isn't perfect, try aiming five guns at once from 10 eyes " Flint remarked as he looked back, noticing a bullet had made contact with Maria. "But alas it made you stay here and not kill me instantly." Flint walked back in front of Maria "But I think the biggest proof was you lowering your shield, your gut telling you I am telling the truth I imagine..." Flint sighed "But what should really show you that I am not lying is who I am. Do you think I care about money? Can money cure this!" Flint rolled up his arm to show the reddened skin. He quickly covered it back up "No and that's why we must bring the corporation to the ground that way people like us will be deemed the normal ones !" Flint turned and spluttered out a cough. "Im sure you can understand what I mean."
Maria merely wiped the trickle of blood from her cheek, the apparent result of one of the bullets making contact with her, not lethal of course, but enough to get her attention and raise a shield to the rest of the sinister volley of lead charging her way and Leela's as well. She remained silent however, completely without word as she listened in on Flint's explanation for this rather abrupt
change of heart, though hers was quite sudden as well, and still she wondered what she was doing turning against a man who could possibly kill her without lifting a finger. What was Marcus' power anyways? Did he even have a power? If so....it just made the smug, Italian suit wearing, scotch drunk bastard even more detestable to Maria....because he was nothing more now than a hypocrite and a traitor to his own. So in a sense, betrayal of Marcus was more than justified, same with Flint's reasoning, especially upon viewing....that all too painful and grotesque sight of his horribly marred flesh. "Damn....." Was all the goth could say to this grim visage before Leela had cut in. Reluctant was the white haired girl to take a life...but....the ways she spoke, it had some adverse effect upon Maria.
She spoke of peace, of cleansing the city of this evil, this corruption that had fallen upon it and damned people like her, people like Flint, Maria, and the other thousands of
gifted individuals, literally inches away from the diseased Flint and crawling down his throat with every word spat at him in this fiery paroxysm of Leela's poetic and heartfelt speech. Once she was finished though threatening their plagued ally...at this moment...Maria stepped in, "You know....she's got a point. Where else will there be left to turn when we've burned everything to ashes? The city's a good start, getting rid of Marcus, but...we ain't the only ones turned into...these things. Plus, what's normal anymore, Flint? Even if I didn't have these powers, I would still be the outcast, I would still be the black sheep among the flock. The same could be said for you, for any of us...." She paused, turning towards the girl beside her, a softness to her rather harsh voice, "Even you.... We can't just think more killing's going to solve our issues. I mean, yeah...I want as much as anyone to kill Marcus, but wiping out an entire population.....I'd say even for me, that's really fucked up."
