Name: Vanessa Dile
Age: 19
Gender: Female
Species/Race : Crow
Powers: Vanessa can turn into a crow at will but doesnt like to do it to often as she drops her clothes. She can go invisible ever so often but can only do it for 2 minutes or so. Even then you can hear her footsteps. She can also sometimes control the darkness. She can only control shadows and turn the shadows into weapons...but the weapons don't last for long. Her weapons range from small knives, to broadswords.
Weaknesses: She can't stand sunlight in her human form. Also she hates fire.
Personality: Vanessa is very cynical and hates most things. She sees her life as a curse and that it's all punishment. She likes to stay to herself and read or listen to music. She doesn't like to socialise but sometimes she feels she has to. She hates when people ask about her parents or any family or insult her in anyway. But she hates fighting but loves death. Death in general intruiges her but she cannot kill herself..
Background: Vanessa began a simple life. She was born a crow who lived with it's family around an old church. Her family of crows made a nest there but only one person ever went into the church, he even lived there. This man was a magician who lived on his own working on 'saving the world' from the scourge of pollution and he even made a good few potions. One day the little crow, still a chick, approached the man and he fed her, since then the chick would visit the man for food. Eventually, the little chicks whole life was changed.

One day while visiting the man, the rest of the crows flew away and the chick couldn't fly away with them...she was still learning to fly. The elderly wizard took pity for her and told the chick, he was dying. The chick didn't understand, she was a crow after all. So the wizard decided that he couldn't save the world, but he would save a life, without him the crow would die. He summoned all of his magic and turned the little crow into a 15 year old girl. She had red and black hair and he gave her a whole wardrobe of black clothes. She loved it! He always made sure she knew that she wasn't his child, she liked. Think he was her father but he want. He told her over and over again she was the Daughter of Shadows. She took to being a human instantly and he taught her how to talk, walk and simply have fun. But sadly one day, he died while making a potion. Again, someone around the crow now named Vanessa had died.

Vanessa hated the world after that day. She hated herself. But she knew he wouldn't want her to be sad, he would want her to live A good life, but by now she was 19 with no paperwork or birth certificates. She had no past, nobody would take her in. The wizard had taught her basic shadow magic and all the education she would need so she decided to go to the school. It was the only way to fulfill her fathers dreams...for her to live a great, tormenting life. She didn't feel this was a charm that gave her this life, but a curse.

The powers are sort of similar to, invisibility and turning to an animal (leaving the clothes behind too)

@Vanessa: The only clarification I'd like on her powers is the ability to create weapons out of shadows. Can you describe just what kinds of weapons these range from?
