[IC] Against the odds( Pokemon Gijinka RP)

The hustle and bustle of the of the city made it hard to distinguish people approaching them from others, which was making both of them uneasy. They were entering a poorer side of town, sticking to the small alleyways and dark corners. Although still far from the main part of the city, they were still in it, which meant they had to be alert at all times. Joseph had a million things to say about how stupid this was and that they were going to get caught, but he wouldn't say it in case someone overheard. He resolved to never let Otto hear the end of this when they made it back, though.
Otto wouldn't dream of going towards the headquarters of the hunters, at least not this unprepared - He was simply taking a look around, sizing up the humans, and planned to leave. Other than his previous owner he had never really had contact with other humans, and needed to see what the masses were like.
The two wandered around, the Banette especially prepared to act at any time.

Alanya worked quickly to get what she was ordered to pick up before the shops closed up until morning. She wasn't in the same rush to get back to the house though, and instead took a slight detour towards the woods. Walking until she was a certain distance from the tree line she came across a small clearing and placed her bag down on the ground. Whenever she could, Alanya would steal away to this place, and no one had bothered her yet, but even still she was wary when she first arrived. She sniffed around but found no sign anyone was spying on her. Throwing her head back she howled at the moon, not the long hunting howl of a beast but a harmonious sound that echoed into the night. It always brought a smile to her face when she did, feeling so free away from her masters. "I wish I could be like this forever." She sighed, laying back in the lush grass, eyes scanning the sky for a stray star.

The longer the two stayed in the city, the more people started to stare. If they were in any other part of town, there would have been no doubt a hunter would have shown up already. With their continued stay, however, they were pushing their luck. They were there for about an hour, and Joseph's nerves were completely shot, despite nothing substantial happening. "Otto, please, it's getting late - let's just go back." The chandelure was on the border of begging his friend. Otto stopped walking, mulling it over while staring at the sky. "...Alright." He knew it getting late was no problem for his friend - both of them were ghost types, they thrived in the dark - but he understood his friend was completely fed up with his searching. They turned around, leaving the city.
Up ahead, they heard a faint howling noise. Against Jospeh's protests, Otto continued forward with caution, finally stopping once he saw a figure on the ground. He was keeping his distance, so he couldn't make out details, but she didn't look like a human. Of course, that didn't mean he could stop being on guard. The two stood there motionless, unsure of what to do.

Glacia followed him silently, she didn't know what to say she never did and even if she did she would be to nervous to say. CiCi finally thought of something to say and spoke, "I'll make food for you and your family and the pokemon then if it is ok with you may I go off on my own tonight. I'd rather not be here when your father gets home, he kind of scares me as you know." She said. CiCi hope she could go out tonight. She wanted to go and make sure no pokemon or gijinka's were being used or hurt or anything bad was happening to humans also. CiCi had begun helping out more at night even though it wasn't much she still kept it secret from Carson.

Alanya's ear twitched as it picked up a small sound, her body bolting up in surprise. Immediately she was on her feet, crouching defensively close to ground. "Who's there? What do you want?" She called out, her free spark beginning to fade. There weren't usually others out in the forest at this time of night, so her first fear was that it was the Gijinka Hunters coming after her. "I haven't done anything, I promise." She called again, relaxing to look less aggressive but maintaining a defensive stance.

"I told you we should have just given up we wouldn't be-" "Joseph. Shut it." Probably the first time Otto had actually stopped his friend mid sentence, but they had more pressing issues at the moment then seeing what would have been better in hindsight. "We're just going home." Otto called, still not moving an inch. Not so much that he was afraid to move, he just didn't want to startle her and have to fight.

Carson started to laugh." Yeah, my father wasn't always like this. believe it or not, he use to be super friendly before my mom passed away." he said."Anyways, he doesn't live with me. Anyway, we should get going." he said with a friendly smile. Sparx looked at Cici very carefully and climbed ontop of Carson's head

(using his farther as an NPC. )

" How are things back at the lab?" Rowan looked up at the woman who had walked in,flipping thought some paper work. "Good,everything is going as planed. However, Project 037 seven is still un-completed."

Rowan smiled, looking through Telca's old notebook." That's good..."

She stood stiff for a few moments longer, judging whether or not these newcomers meant her any harm. Alanya sighed and fully relaxed, standing up to full height. "I'm sorry. You just surprised me, I'm not technically supposed to be out here. I would appreciate it if you wouldn't tell anybody. My masters would not be very happy with me." Her eyes dropped to the ground instinctively and her tails twitched nervously.

Hearing the mention of masters, Otto scowled, though it wasn't quite visible from under his clothes. So, she was one of those kinds. Not that he hadn't been in the past, but at least he learned better. "Why listen to them in the first place?" His voice became surprisingly clear and sharp, no hesitation whatsoever in asking the question. Joseph sighed, "I'm sorry, no it's fine, we won't mention it." Otto showed annoyance at the apology for his actions, "Don't you dare void a question I ask." He responded looking up at his friend, who became uncomfortable from the piercing stare, but discontinued the argument with a nod to try and prevent the ninetails from becoming uncomfortable.

Alanya's ears drooped at the strangers tone of voice, tails swishing from side to side. "Well... I-it's my job." She wanted to shrink but was too frightened to move. "Don't you have someone to work for? You said you were on your way home." She added, folding her hands behind her back nervously. "I'm sorry, it's not my business. You don't have to answer that."

"Humans are nothing but disgusting traitors!" Otto was starting to shake, barely visible under his baggy clothes. He didn't want to respond in such a way, but couldn't help himself. Her comment hit hard, and he felt it would probably just be better to stop now. "Otto, please calm down..." With the extra person here, Joseph wasn't really sure how to react or what to do.

Kelts was still looking for his partner. How could he have just disappeared like that? He wasn't that stealthy. At this point, it was looking a lot like perhaps he had been captured after all. He should have known better than to let him walk around on his own! Letting out a frustrated sigh, the Kirlia walked on, hoping that he wouldn't have to save him from any humans tonight. He did have plans to actually sleep, you know...

A burst of emotion shot through his senses, snapping him out of his musings. He let the horns on his head just collect the feelings for a moment before turning and running in the direction he sensed it from. He wasn't quite convinced that it was his partner, but it had felt like someone who was feeling quite distressed. Considering his partner's and his past luck, anyway, he also wouldn't be surprised if his friend had gotten caught up in whatever was going on. With that in mind, the Pokemon took off for the trees.

"That's understandable." CiCi said smiling slightly when they arrived at his house she opened the door and held it for him. "After you," she says smiling sweetly. After he passes by she looks out at the dark sky and wishes upon a shooting star. 'I wish one day for peace among everyone', she thinks in her mind before opening them and smiling.

Carson unlocked the door and walked inside. He left the door open for her. Sparx flew off his shoulder and headed towards the kitchen. "If you dont have a place to stay,you can stay here." Carson sat on the couch. " geez..i gotta go to the lab in the morning. "

"I'm sorry, I seem to have upset you." Alanya's ears sagged as did her tails, the moonlight catching the silvery fur beautifully. "I should be getting these back to the house, the young master is sick." She didn't know why she was telling them what she was doing, they weren't going to punish her for taking a break, but some habits were difficult to break. "I meant no offense, I hope you know that." Her voice was soft, barely audible as she slunk her way over to the bag she had placed on the ground.

Of course he understood she didn't mean any malice, but it didn't stop him from being upset. He had grabbed his friends hand in an effort to stop shaking, and looking at the ground. Joseph, emitting the faint blue light that he always did in darkness, was concentrated on the woman. He had never really seen other gijinkas aside from ghost types, and the reflection off her fur was something completely new to him. "It's okay, and I'm sorry we interrupted your break..." He felt awful about the whole situation, but didn't want her feeling the same. "Um, I hope he feels better soon." He never had to deal with being sick, so he never really understood what happened. He had heard things like that said before, though. He lightly tugged on Otto's hand, who refused to move. "Give me....A moment." His words, forced out through a clenched jaw, were meant to be quiet enough for the ninetails to not hear.

"Why?" CiCi asked as she headed to the kitchen ad began to make some food for Carson and the pokemon. She finished and dished out the food into separate dishes. She carried them on her arms and went to Carson. "Here you go." she said handing him his dish with a smile. "You can let your pokemon if you want so they can eat." Glacia said still holding their dishes of food.

Carson released all his pokemon and took the plate." Thank you.." he said. Before eating, he anwsered her question." Well,im not sure my self. A friend of mines called me there for some odd reason. Since my laptop is being fixed,i have to go there and checked the email she send me."

"Understandable,"CiCi began as she set the food down in front of the pokemon. "Do you need me to do anything else?" She asked finished her sentence. She stood there silently not knowing what to do.

Carson shook his head no."No..you can relax if you like." he said with a yawn. He watched his pokemon eat
