I agree with y'all, creepiness overtakes violence by a long shot. I still don't like gore, but my imagination is too over the top to allow me to watch psychological horrors.

Though, somehow, 'We Don't Talk About Sarah' isn't giving me that sinking feeling I usually get when something REALLY creeps me out...oh no...I..I'm transforming into...one of...THEM!

It didnt give me that feeling until the end and after realizing what happened. Parents kidnapping 'Sarah' whom cried for her real family, banging on the window to attract attention or escape... being locked behind bars. Trapped in the basement or the parents room with 'the father' ....

To eventually being killed...

Then simply having the main character listen to their fathee grab a kitchen knife and slowly come to their room... a father desperate enough to evem murder his own child if it came to it.

Yeah xD sickening feeling

Yeah, that is scary. I'm not sure how true that story is, but the actual case is real unfortunately. Shannon really was a missing child, and I've read some creepy stuff on reddit so you can never tell.

Yesh, Silver, It is definitely terrifying for me on a logical level but I don't know, I guess it just doesn't strike the right cords for me to be freaked out in my headspace. You know, that lingering feel of dread where your mind just keeps piling more and more scary stuff onto the situation? Not doing that for me, dunno why.

In addition, I am embarrassed to admit that I actually had to read the comments to find out why exactly the story was supposed to be creepy at all. I don't get how I can be so observant in real life and yet, in media of all types, I can NEVER pick up on the cues, EVER!

True true but I still find it creepy because I literally can imagine that happening to me as a little girl. Or even full grown. My imagination is what makes me feel the sheer dread on any subject.

The Rotted man is also a nice one, though not quite as creepy. Takes a bit to understand since it is from a childs perspective.

But I thought you werent creeped out by the stories (that I mentioned) O.o? The Rotted Man isnt all that bad, it just seems creepy because its from a scared kid. When in reality the Rotted Man is just Death/or a policeman doing what is right. So it made me feel warm and fuzzy :D

Well, Silver, I guess I was mainly referring to Abigail's Profile. But even though We Don't Talk About Sarah didn't mess me up, it still wasn't pleasant and definitely darkened my mood somewhat.

As for The Rotted Man, that's interesting, I didn't think of the possibility of him being death. Though yes, overall I thought it ended rather warmly.

I didn't have internet for a whole year when I moved last year, and so I was always on my phone. It was terrible... I feel for you, lol. I wasn't even on RPG then so I couldn't use it to entertain me really.

And don't worry Silver, I'm not blaming you at all, I know it's my fault for reading 'em. I guess I was more referring to some of the gifs and vids that are unavoidable. I mean, I didn't even watch any and the preview pictures and titles were weird enough.
