Re-read the opening post. The military had an inside man who put a virus in Cerebro to make the schools defenses malfunction. After some panic and chaos from freaked out kids with power the government swooped in and abducted a few mutants. Forgot to kill some cannons in that now that I think on it.... Need to change that...

*Absorbs solar energy and converts it into a number of uses including:
- flight, projects himself through the air like a human bullet surrounded in a solid energy
aura that breaks away on close impact to create a scattershot of energy with Jacob
being the primary projectile.

- energy blasts/melee, Jacob can fire blasts of the solar energy from his hands as well
as encase them in solid energy with the same break away scattershot effect [like his
flight impact has] enhancing his punches
Weaknesses - When not protected by his solar energy fields, Jacob is as normal as the
next civilian.

BRIEF Bio - Jacob was like any other southern kid with mutant powers, looked at like a freak
by former friends and neighbors. When several X-Men joined the Avengers, and
others went rogue along with Cyclops and Magneto, Beast was left with a few
long-standing X-Men to keep the school going and Jacob had only been there for
6 or 7 weeks. After the destruction at the mansion, Jacob was one of the first
students who was ready to take action against those responsible for the
destruction and capturing of his teachers and friends.
Notes - Jacob is a little bit of an artist and is constantly drawing on scrap paper with nearby
pens or pencils. He had an average education until joining the Institute and showed
interest in developing his art skills and learning about the mutant/human history of the
last few decades. His powers are similar to that of Cannonball and an original character
I'd made awhile back called Shotgun.

Name - Aaron 'X'
Alias - Elixir (for now ;D)
Age - 20
Power[s] - Aaron has the ability to sap energy from people through touch, enabling him to heal himself and others although there is a cap to how much he can store and how much energy he can remove. Healing himself takes a lot less energy than healing someone else. When he takes someones energy he can induce a buzzed or euphoric feeling on the victim. He can also causing short term memory loss and the victim to pass out, but it takes a lot of his energy.
Weaknesses - Standard human weaknesses
How long at the Institute - 2 years
Favorite subject - Biology
Favorite teacher - Beast
Appearance - *Cept his skin has since turned all black although he retains his golden eyes
BRIEF Bio - Aaron never knew his parents and grew up in one of NYC's orphanages. It was rough for him as he was lanky and skinny much of his youth and constantly picked on. When he got older he was shuffled in and out of foster homes until he turned sixteen where his mutant ability triggered and his skin and hair took on a golden color. After that he took to the streets, begging underneath the safety of his baggy clothes and hoodie, for money or sustainance to live. When he turned eighteen, he was found by Nightcrawler under Xavier's guidance and brought to live in the mansion which was a place he could finally call home. Since being there Aaron has kept his reserved demeanor and is extremely shy, and sometimes envious of others. His friends helped him a lot to come out of the shell but with the disaster at the mansion, Aaron has since become reckless, and self destructive.
Notes - One thing Aaron is nonchalant about is his sexuality. He likes both sexes as love is love.

So here's my ideas for powers for this new rp:

Keep Steve
Omnivision- character can literally see anywhere in all of existence, can view all wave lengths and down to the center of the atomic level
Klepto-Kinetic Redestribution- character can take the speed of one object, and lend it to another. An example: a speeding car at 100+ miles per hour stops to an absolute zero speed, killing the occupants due to physics. 50 mph is given to character's own speed, and the other 50 is distributed to other objects for other purposes
Pain Induced Abilities (Super strength, Super Speed, Power Augmentation, Duplication, Precognition, and Force Field Generation)

Name - Shuya "Steve" Denzan
Alias - Raiix or just Rai.
Age - 21.
Power[s] - Electrokinesis, or the ability to generate, manipulate, or become electricity. This can be as arcs, blasts, pulses, waves, beams, balls, etc. Note: Steve's electrical attacks range in power from being flicked to punching fist-sized craters in solid concrete, however the voltage never raises higher than very nasty static shocks (not enough to stun like a tazer, but enough to leave a burn). This is a subconscious block. Without it even he isn't sure what would happen. But he can taze your ass by making skin-to-skin contact, dropping the target like a twitchy sack of potatoes, and in extreme cases can act as a defibrillator. As a side-effect, his relfexes are slightly higher than normal, and he heals faster. Not Wolverine fast, but minor wounds are gone in about an hour and normally fatal injuries tend to just leave scars. Steve can hover by emitting small pulses under his body, but he can't move from that position very much unless he turns into electricity and "teleports" (he's just moving very fast) up to 30 feet in a straight line as long as he can see his destination (don't wanna run into a wall). So semi-flight is possible, but difficult to control. However he CAN travel through things that have a current (like power lines) al a Electro. Lastly, Steve can absorb electricty from outside sources to re-charge his energy reserves.
Weaknesses - Water. Just straight up water. Shorts out his powers and in large quantities (lakes, oceans, rivers) can turn them against himself, possibly even killing him. Oddly enough, however rain is just fine.
How long at the Institute - 2 years
Favorite subject - Gym
Favorite teacher - Storm. She was always so motherly, something Steve badly needed.

BRIEF Bio - When Shuya Denzan was a child, he suffered a very traumatic event that both triggered his mutation far earlier than normal and also wiped his memories, even his name. On his own, "Steve" had to fend for himself on the streets for 13 years, during which he gained a withdrawn and introverted personality. Eventually he made his way to New York, specifically Westchester County. Using his ability to travel along power lines, Steve sneaked into a massive mansion to try and steal some food, but was caught immediately by the house's owner, a man named Charles Xavier. Steve expected to be sent to jail, but to his surprise, Charles invited him to stay and learn how to control his powers in a safe environment. Luckily for Steve, he broke into a school for Mutants and this man was the Headmaster. Enticed by the thought of a warm bed and full stomach every night, Steve happily accepted. For the next two years he gained a few friends and slowly managed to overcome his shyness, becoming confident with who and what he is around his friends and around acquaintances, even regaining a few of his memories, like his true name, although he still goes by Steve. However he is still very shy around people he's not familiar with... unless you talk about things he likes. Then he won't shut up.
Notes - Steve is a great street brawler, using a personal free form style... in that he really has no style. He just punches and kicks when he can and takes advantage of the environment and his abilities.

OK, now I just need a power weakness and character weakness.

With Pete I had him suicidal and emotional, with a very uncontrollable power set

I guess with this power comes issues of personal space and boundaries, and every time The OV is used, he has to temporarily shut down another sense, which itself comes with baggage. (No sense of touch means he cant feel emotionally involved, no sense of taste he tells the truth with anything, no hearing he becomes an impulsive, womanizing asshole, ect)

BRIEF Bio - Born in Edinburgh, Scotland. At 12, she came to Xavier's school for gifted mutants. Due to her ability, she powered through all the classes and had degrees in science and languages by the time she was 15. At 16, she became one of the X-men, usually as a strategist. She was naturally a very shy girl, but when the heat was on, she had no problem barking orders.
