"Oh .. thanks I wondered how I was lying on a roof..."
Steph was still frazzled but slowly stood up, her head hurt less and her legs where less like jelly.
"I cant argue with that. I had frie....aquantances within the school but I think I can meet up with them later. We where heading east to the countryside so hopefully they will be going that way to."
Steph thought how annoying it was that her satchel was left, but at least she was alive.
She wiped her face, she needed to wash this dried blood off and look to see how bad her face was. Her nose felt broken at least.

"Why head east? What's in there? Do you think your people would be alright if we went on ahead?" Jim asked, as he took out a couple bottled water and gave Spencer and the stranger one each. "You never told us your name, girl. Or have you forgotten it? Your head looks hurt real bad."
I guess we can rest here for a while. My back hurts like hell. I'm sure they need to rest too.
"So, how did you end up in a burning school? Who was that guy?" Jim said as he laid on his back, relaxing a little beneath the cover of foliage.

to Charles' joy he found a school bus, the bus ran well and had a snub nosed 1960's revolver in the glove box. Charles spent some time putting his bike in the back, loading his guns and looting the store, he was lucky he headed west towards the inner city or chances were he would be wasting his time here. he filled up the bus with what was left in the pumps and started heading to a near by auto shop were he would kit out the bus to be more rugged.

"We where heading for the countryside... probabley ahs less zombies because of the lack of people."
Steph took the water and gulped it down then splashed some on her face, wiping away the blood.
Her face had a few dark cuts on it that where slowly healing over.
"Im Steph I normally only tell people when they ask.. and yeah the ass hole in there was going to kill me, probably torture me if you hadn't come along. We came here for safety but then that Doc came and started attacking us."

Ky watched the ceiling remembering the past. She remembered the explosion that killed her father and her mother committing suicide right after the explosion leaving her all alone with her immunity to the infection and the cure in her bag.

"Who's we? Your acquaintances? What happened to them?" Jim asked.

he spent a few hours dragging and welding parts and gadgets on to the bus but at last it was done, it now had a lick of black paint, a loader horn with speakers to talk to survivors and lure zombies and a plough of sharp rubbish to move zombies and survivors alike out the way. it was to be the Doc's war machine and home till he could find a more perminate solution.

he layed down on one of the seats and fell asleep, and diddnt wake up till a good few hours later.

"Hello there." Spencer told the girl. So it was a girl! Spencer looked down seeing her hand still grabbed with Jim's. She quickly let go sniling at the girl. "Its not what you think. We just met." Spencer said nodding and looking around at the spot that they were in. It looked safe but that could change quickly. Spencer heard what Jim said and was actually surprised. It meant that she was not going to be alone no more. Atleast thats what she thought. A smile and a nod she gave to Jim.

"Alright. So what do we do now?" Spencer asked raising an eyebrow and looking around for zombies. Spencer accepted the water bottle opening it and taking a sip. She was thirsty. But she was confused of this Doc guy. Why was he trying to kill them? It was all weird but she just arrived. Spencer sat down tiredly pushing her hair braid to her right shoulder. She sat quietly looking at the ground and listening to them speak.

"Just some people I met.. I stayed to slow the doctor guy down. They should already be on there way... we should set off now then."
Steph said stuffing the now empty bottle in her back pocket as she took a few steps.
"We can properly rest in a better area away from the zombies."
Steph began to move, low and fast.

Break's over then. I hope we can catch up to the others. It's safer that way.
Jim stood up when Steph declared her intentions. After organizing his possessions, he was ready to go.
My back doesn't hurt as much as before... but it still does. It's bearable.
Jim followed Steph with quick, quiet strides, but not without pulling Spencer upright, to assure her that she will not be alone.

Spencer sighed as they were ready to go. She noticed Jim and Steph standing up and then she stood up with Jim's help. "Im coming, im coming." And they walked away. Im so tired. I been walking the whole damn day. Spencer grabbed her water bottle taking another sip and stuffing the water bottle in her back pocket and she grabbed her bow just incase a zombie attacked them. "Soooo. Where are we exatcly going? I mean, really. I hope that place is safe like you say because I need to rest for a little." Spencer sighed as she and Jim followed Steph, hopefully they could find the others around. But at the same time she was scanning the areas for zombies.

"Well it will take a good few miles to hit the countryside so for now I think we should get to somewhere relatively safe then we can think about how we get to the countryside. "
Steph said to the two, attempting to sound confident despite not knowing where they where going.
Steph had to start looking for a weapon at least, but it wasn't so easy to find something that Steph could use, she wasn't muscular after all and had been surviving on quick thinking and firearms up to this point.

Jim noticed Steph looking around, not for zombies, but for something. He later realized that she was unarmed. Jim took out the small pistol Spencer lent him, nodded at Spencer then called Steph's attention.

"Hey. Take this. Spencer let me borrow this before we split up, and I think you'll be needing this more than me." Jim said as they continued walking. "Thanks Spencer, I hope you don't mind her using it. There's a few rounds left."

Spencer shrugged when Jim gave Steph the gun. "It dosent matter." She sighed as they kept walking and looked up at Jim. "So you are going to be superman and think you dont need weapons to kill zombies? Because, I am sure. You wont use your hands to do so." Spencer arched an eyebrow at Jim, sighing looking back at the ground as they walked.

A good few miles isn't that good. Maybe they could find some kind of car or something...eventhough none are seen where they are at. Spencer heard a noise behind them and quickly her head turning around and her bow raised up aiming to see a squirrel un the ground and then escaping. Spencer sighed with relief that wasn't a zombie. She turned around seeing Jim and Steph already walking ahead. Spencer jogged to catch up to them. She did not want to get left behind.

Steph turned and looked to the Small Handgun and took it in her hand.
She removed the magazine
"9mm, 6 shots ... ok" She muttered to herself so she remembered.
"Any more ammunition for it?" She asked, hopefully, to Spencer as she slid the magazine back in place and racked the slide.
It fit rather well in her holster, the guns where of similar design it seemed, at least in size.
"Ill give it back when I find one" Steph said smiling thankfully as they got to the sports field.
Steph hopped the gate and continued to walk.
On one side of the field there seemed to be a storage shed, there might be some sports equipment in there.

"The thing is," Jim said, in reply to Spencer " I don't need to kill zombies. I just need to avoid them as much as I can, and if push comes to shove, I'm sure I can handle them. Any of us can handle them. We have brains, they have...Whatever it is that keeps them going. Unless it's a full on mob, in which, by the way, your weapons won't be helping much. Most cases, escape is the best option... So, yeah. I'd still take a weapon if we found some, though."
What's happening to me? I never talk this much... Well I never had anyone to talk to before, anyway.
Jim noticed Steph looking at the distance, and noticed what she was looking at: a shed. Jim followed Steph's path towards the structure while keeping an eye out for zombies.

Spencer shrugged. "I dont have no more ammos for it. Sadly. I wasted it when I came here." Sighed and contined to talk answering to Jim. "Alrighty then mister. You do what you have to do to be alive. And yes find some weapon to protect yourself with." Rolled her eyes as she hopped the gate and continued to walk behind them. It seemed that they were going to some storage shed. There could be usefull items for them to use. "Maybe you guys can find something there to use." Spencer said running a hand through her hair and continued to walk behind them, yes she was walking slowly mainly because she is tired, havent ate in about a day and her feet is hurting like hell. But she is gonna have to manage it and continue to walk.

As they got to the shed a large padlock was on the latch
"Great.... the woods probably rotted around the hinges though... hey big man" She remarked to Jim, him nearly being a foot taller then Steph
"Think you can kick it in?" She asked stepping away.

Charles yawned from his nap, he was asleep for a good half hour and was ready to head east towards the country, he knew that he would need the bus if he was to break through the hordes of zombies blocking the way, the proberlam was...... he would need help. he can break through but without help he may die or get infected. as much as it pained him to say it. he would have to join with the bandits. he started the engine and drove to the school in the hope of some survivors.

"I don't think so." Said Jim, but he still tried kicking the large lock, to no avail. Jim circled around the shed looking for vulnerable, possible entrances, but no luck. He went back to the girls and said "Looks like you're gonna have to shoot it." Jim said, looking around for potential escape routes, in case the shot lures zombies towards them.
