Her name was Spencer. She gave Jim a weapon, even though she looked like she did not trust Jim, not one bit. It was a moment of vulnerability for the girl, and Jim could have exploited that, he could have betrayed her right then and there, yet he did not. Jim was a murderer, but he was a murderer with honor. He took the weapon.

"Thanks." Jim said. Spencer said she wanted to go to the school.
I wanted to go to the school too, but now that I have a weapon, I don't need to.
Jim thought for a while, as he watched the woman walk away. As Jim watched her body slowly get smaller, he felt something that made him run after her.
He felt loneliness. Having found someone, he knew that he did not want to be alone again.
