Aoba blinked when Dani fell to the floor. He didn't know how to react. He knew it had something to do with his wings and Kuro was probably punishing him. He stayed quiet and finished his food. He didn't mean to get Dani in trouble, though Dani seemed to be fine after a few short minutes. So, there was not much for him to feel guilty about. His attention turned when Kuro started talking about the plants. "Oh, alright. I guess you'll show me how to do that too. But, that's after we feed the animals right?"

He wanted to be completely sure of a schedule, even though they just started to do the work. He was going to mention something else, but Dani decided to speak again. "It's not Kuro's job to-." Aoba started softly, but Kuro interrupted and was once again defending him. The angel looked down at the now empty bowl and waited for them to finish. Hearing the many names of God and the talk of his wrath made him sigh a little. 'Wrathful indeed.' He silently agreed before watching Dani walk off. He wondered why, but he never asked. Maybe he just didn't want to get in trouble again.

Without a word, Aoba got up to take his and Dani's bowls to clean them off. "You know," He started after some time. "You don't have to keep defending me whenever Dani gets upset you know. . . He just doesn't understand stand is all. And it is. . .pretty odd for a demon of all creatures to want to put up with an angel, fallen or not. I mean, unless there's some type of personal gain to this." He shrugged lightly. He didn't know why he defended Dani and he wasn't very sure what emotions possessed him to say something like that. But, it was a little too late to be unsaid. "I'll go get those seeds now." Even if Kuro had said to feed the animals first, the things needed were all in the barn, so he still needed to go there anyway.

As Kuro's heart rate returns to normal, his little speech to his brother riling him up more than he cared to notice, he looks to the angel with a once more soft look in his eyes. He recognizes the expression on Aoba's face and silently curses himself. He stays silent however, wanting to hear what he has to say. 'After all I interrupted him, once more speaking for him as if he was not here. I am such a fool some time, but. . . .But I know Dani should be able to understand, and the faster he does, the faster I can trust him this little bit. This tiny little bit and will be able to allow him to have his little fun without worrying that he's going to snap. . .' He sighs softly. 'Though, that threat will never truly dissipate. He's crazy, just like I am. . .His however just so happens to be violent. Even Issho suffers from the madness, but his is focused. . .Maybe. . .Maybe that's all I want for him. . .A little focus. . .'

The care for his family keeps each of the children in line, unable to slay each other despite the strong urges to do so, however Kuro and a couple of the others have gone a little bit further at time. Like Issho. He can not love, but he cares for his siblings in a way that no one understands, and it is this care that keeps his fair. Kuro can only hope that Dani will be able to calm one day, his madness no longer a real danger. Is it so much to ask for a little peace for one of your blood?

The demon's eyes follow Aoba as he wanders into the kitchen, his ears perking up as he at last speaks. His smile makes an appearance and with a long sigh Kuro walks up behind the angel, and in one smooth motion he wraps his arms around Aoba's slender waist, lacing his fingers together over his tummy. Pulling him in tight he begins speaking softly. “Here on earth there was a man called Pavlov, who taught dogs to drool on command by ringing a bell. He did this by over and over, ringing the bell, then feeding the dogs a treat, so that every time they heard the bell, they thought they were getting a treat.” Settling his forehead on the back of Aoba's head he exhales softly against the back of his neck. “I have to defend you, each and every time he gets riled, if he is ever going to learn to relax around you. It may seem cruel in your eyes, but my brother is a killer. He may find you amusing, and would be incredibly put out if you died, but all it takes is an instant of the madness that plagues us to overcome his controls, and you would be dead, just like that.”

His arms tighten around the angel. “If it works, and I hope it does, he will be better for it. In my own special way, I am helping my dear big brother control his temper, and in kind, his madness. He is my brother, and I wish this for him. . .” His voice trails off and his arms relax a bit. His head comes up, shifting to the side before his forehead comes to rest next on Aoba's collarbone. “That aside, and I hope you don't hate me for this, but even if it wasn't Dani, I would jump to protect you no matter what, my Little Mouse. For me it is not a matter of putting up with you. You are dear to me, and I will abide no harm coming to you.” His head lifts up, his chin settling where his forehead was moments before. “And if that is personal gain to you, then so be it. I am selfishly unwilling to see you killed, for seeing you suffer is worse than Hell for me.” Not really catching that he just slipped on his revealing his feelings he sighs again and lets Aoba go slowly. “I'll finish cleaning up, you head to the barn and I'll meet you in a few. . .” His hand comes up to brush softly over those now slightly darker gray wings and he smiles before turning to the sink to finish up the morning cleaning.

Thinking back to the many books he read through when he resided in heaven, he recalled that demons only cared for themselves. Protecting others wasn't supposed to be very common, but here he was with his arms wrapped around him and Kuro explaining that he would not stop protecting him. . . But why was he doing it? Sure, Aoba saved his life at a high cost, but there was something else. Some other reason that Kuro was doing this. But, Aoba didn't know what that reason was. Though, trying to reform Dani didn't sound like a good idea for some reason. What if it somehow backfired? What if Dani somehow only got more upset from the "training" and decided to attack them both? He knew he was overthinking at the time, but it wasn't like it wasn't possible.

His mind wandered off onto a tangent. Like, what would happen if someone actually accomplished killing him? Now that he could die, what would happen to him? Would it be the end? Or if he died, would he be getting another chance in heaven. . . Or be kicked right out and sent to. . . Aoba shuddered lightly at the thought and sighed. He was sure he'd be a terrible demon. Then again, he wasn't doing too great as a mortal 'human' either. Aoba mentally groaned, before once more paying attention to Kuro. It sounded like he had definitely missed something because it sounded like Kuro was confessing to him.

Thankfully, Kuro let go before Aoba could stammer a response to it. He was even more thankful that Kuro told him he could leave. His wings ruffle a little at the touch, as well as because of the rather surprising news. "O-Okay." He whispered before turning and walking off. As soon as he was outside, Aoba could feel his cheeks burning and he rubbed them as if it would take the feeling away. His wings opened up for a moment, just so Aoba could see what they looked like. It seemed a little darker, but he couldn't quite tell, so they folded once again. "It doesn't mean anything. It doesn't mean anything. Kuro is just an odd demon, with odd...hobbies." The fallen angel tried reassuring himself as he walked to the barn. "Kuro doesn't have a heart. He. . .doesn't know what he's talking about."

Dani had taken a seat on top of the house, watching for any attackers that decided to show up. He was on full alert, like a guard dog standing post. His attention to the trees had broke when he noticed Aoba walking towards the barn. He lowered on the roof so he was barely visible, and stared at the angel, wondering what he was mumbling about. He only managed to hear something about hobbies and hearts before the toy went into the barn. "Weird. . ."

"How are you feeling?" The fallen angel patted the pregnant cow gently and received a huff in response. She was fine so Aoba went over to the other animals to check on them. "Don't worry, I'll be able to feed you once Kuro comes in." On one of the barrels, he noticed his "How to" book and the packages of seeds. So, while he waited for Kuro to finish he started reading the book.

Humming softly Kuro wonders if Aoba notices much of the meaning behind his words. 'He seems the type to take things at face value, and if I didn't know any better, I'd think him completely naïve. At times, he seems almost simple, but he's not. . .In fact, he is very complex, and I'm not even sure he's noticed it yet' As the last of the dishes are stacked into the rack the demon looks tot he blank space on the wall where the spice rack had hung, and with a smirk he turns and heads out the front door, drying his hands on his pants.'Ah well, we have plenty of time to work on these things. . .I may weep when he begins growing out of me, however I can see no way to stop it. He is an angel, through and through, and even his sympathy for me will one day fade to once more embrace the grace of heaven. At least,t hat's what he's here for, and all I am doing is helping that along. . .'

Kuro sighs aloud, looking back ad Dani staring at him fro the roof. I am an odd demon, no doubt, but I can not help wanting to stay here and let my dear Little Mouse be himself. So many others would want to take him, to have him, and if not consume him completely, to take him away, to lock him up, to hoard him. . .' Kuro can feel his emotions welling up behind those ideas. He is equally furious at the idea of anyone doing that to the sweet little angel, but at the same time his true nature drags up the desire to do exactly that. Aoba belongs to him, and even letting another close to him is unthinkable. No one can touch, no one should be allowed. . . He shakes his head hard as he enters the barn. 'No, my Little Mouse is best left free. . .' Dani shrugs as his little brother vanishes into the barn, rolling his eyes at the obvious silent conversation Kuro had with himself.

Spotting Aoba reading the book once more Kuro chuckles and wanders over to the feed barrels. Looking the chart over carefully he waits until he has Aoba's attention without purposefully drawing it to himself before addressing him. “So Little Mouse, would you like to feed them together again today, or would you rather split the animals between us?”

~*~*~*~*~

High above in heaven Fenrir quickly puts the mirror away as a thump against his door lets him know that someone tried to just walk in. 'Well, I almost never close my door, but goodness what a fright!' His heart is racing a bit, the sudden noise while he'd been watching the smaller demon staring down at little Aoba while he walked to the bar bringing up his protective heckles. However he quickly gets himself under control and moves around tot he door, unlocking it with a click. After a few seconds several of the staff pour in and Fenrir can see it will be a while before he is able to check on the poor fallen angel again.

"This doesn't look too complicated." Aoba spoke to no one in particular. He would occasionally turn his head to look at the chart behind him. "Pigs, sheep, cows, chickens..." He looked back into the book to read the next section. By that time, Kuro walked in so he set the book to the side. The fallen angel sat up hearing his nickname and then looked over at the animals. It would be nice to help Kuro feed the animals, but he was determined to do things himself so he wouldn't have to rely on Kuro so much. "I think we should feed them separately. It'll get more done that way." The excuse he used was pretty true. If they both finished without problem, it would give them plenty of time to work on planting the seeds they needed to. And without machines, according to the book, it would probably take a bit of time.

He stood from the barrel he was sitting on and looked at the chart more thoroughly. "I'll feed her," He pointed to the pregnant cow he promised to feed. "And also the birds. So that'll leave you with the sheep, cows, and pigs." Aoba didn't want to end up changing his mind, so he gave Kuro the seed packets and nodded. With that, he turned to grab the clean hay for the cow. He had read the book and each section a few times in order to make sure he got it right. He got two armfuls, or as much as he could carry, and walked over to Mom, setting it down for her. He did this a few times until he was sure she had enough for her amd the baby. She didn't hesitate to start eating. Aoba patted her head gently and smiled. "There you go. Eat all you can."

According to the book and the chart, he picked up the chicken feed and hauled it out to the coop. "Here little chickens." Aoba whistled musically. The sound echoed gently, but Aoba was busy watching the chickens scratch around for food. He spread the feed out so all of them would have a chance to eat and they didn't have to fight for it. He managed to pet one of them that walked up to him. That one had its fill and wandered around until Aoba herded them back into the coop. He had forgotten whether or not the turkeys and chickens could be about together, so he played it safe and got all the chickens in after they had enough exercise.

The turkeys were larger too, so it seemed like they needed more of the space. Aoba continued whistling a tune as he went over to the hut.

The response from his Little Mouse is swift in coming and Kuro can not help but feel than a little disheartening for the young one to begin shooting for independence already. 'Ah, they grow up so quickly' Chuckling at his own foolishness he nods in agreement with the angel. “Yes, it will be faster if we split the job.” he murmurs softly. He stays quiet as Aoba assigns who will feed what and quickly moves off to do his part. Kuro watches silently until Aoba moves out of the barn, only going to work when he sees the angel in the run with the chickens all about his feet. He is not quite sure why he suddenly feels no need for words, no real need for thought either, but as his brother wanders in, staring at him with a funny look on his face, he knows something is off.

Unfortunately he has no time to get to the bottom of his problem as suddenly both his and his brother's heckles go up and they both charge out out the back of the barn towards the run. The cause for their sudden shift is still a ways off, near the forest, however it is clear that this one will not back down. Kuro fires Dani a sharp look and while it looks like he wishes to object, the smaller demon moves off to the edge of the run, placing himself between the forest and the fallen angel. His wings snap irritably however he stays in place as Kuro darts past them both, his speed not as fast as an angel’s, but still bringing him to near blur appearance.

His wings crack loudly with each stroke, the normally silent beats becoming a warning with each flex and curl. The wind flowing off of him bends the grass beneath him as he moves from the weed filled field into the forest edge. 'Not on my watch scum' His heart pounds a little harder than it did with the first few defenses of his dear angel, the threat much greater now. With one last crack he drops on to a knee, bringing himself to a complete stop in an instant, his wings vanishing just in time to avoid being burned by a bright jet of flame. Making note of the color Kuro smirks. 'I can take her. She's not strong enough to even wield hell flame. That was just a normal fire wielding power. Her power is great, but normal' Dropping down he rolls to the side quickly, dodging another jet before shimmering into a shadow and stalking forward.

The female demon growls, her tattered red Chinese dress making her stand out like a sore thumb against the lush greenery. Kuro spots her looking back and forth, trying to find him while backing up. Not in his top form, Kuro decides to take her down swiftly, as little challenge as he can manage. She lets out an almighty howl, allowing him to move closer without being heard, and with a high leap he lands upon her, his already extended claws ripping into her neck. It takes barely an instant for her to recognize her mistake, but that is all he needed. 'Arrogance. . . .When will my kind ever learn. . . .' He takes her head off, kicking her body aside as he becomes drenched in blood. Her head remains clenched in his hand as the body goes up in black flames. He burns her head as well, but not before taking off an ear.

“Such foolishness. . .” Looking at the ear in his palm he turns it over and over until at last he gets an idea. Chuckling softly he quickly constructs what he needs and begins walking back towards the farm. He takes his time, using the opportunity to reflect on his earlier thoughts, or more accurately, lack of thoughts. 'It's not like I have nothing to think about, I just. . .I couldn't think. . . .I couldn't think of anything. My Little Mouse was there, moving forward, making decisions, then just. . .' He sighs, coming out of the wood and on to the weedy well packed earth of the open field. 'It could very well be just that. My thoughts from before, on how he will inevitably move away from me one day, with my aid no less, and the fallout of such thinking. I mean really. What self respecting demon works to get rid of something they enjoy?' Shaking his head he shrugs, continuing his slow walk back.

Aoba poured the food out, spreading it around before he let the turkeys loose. It would prevent the larger birds from jumping at him, and him possibly falling. "Eat up guys. and run around. Once you're done, you have to go back to your hut." He opened it and moved out of the way as the turkeys filed out. Aoba giggled and moved off to the side, watching them eat and run about. These birds were a lot more active than the chickens. They moved a lot more and made funny gobbling sounds. He moved over to pat one's head, but all of them seemed to get riled up all of a sudden. "I-It's alright! Why are you guys panicking-"

He looked up to see both Dani and Kuro speeding towards them. Something was obviously wrong. Aoba moved to the far end of the hut and sat down. The turkeys found more comfort in Aoba than that of Dani, who was now perched in the run, so they hid behind the fluffy gray wings. Though, one smaller turkey managed to sit on his lap, and was hugged by Aoba. "D-Dani?" He called over as the demon growled lowly to himself.

The demon glanced back when he heard his name and rolled his eyes towards the cowardly animals and the angel amongst them. "Relax, it's just another demon. No need to get all whiny and worked up." That was all he said before his attention snapped back towards where Kuro disappeared. He was waiting for his opportunity to intervene, or at least waiting for another demon to strike. One so bold, must have had friends to watch them boast. His eyes narrowed, and he tensed, watching every little movement carefully. It wasn't just because he wanted to kill a demon for joy, but it was also because demons were trying to take his toy. It was hard enough trying to get him away from Kurotama, he was sure as hell not about to let another demon take the toy. That would not be tolerated and whoever tried it would be given a dire punishment from him.

Aoba flinched towards the howl, though somehow Dani's words made everything less scary. Despite them being a tad harsh, it was comforting to know that he had two demons protecting him. It was such an odd, yet helpful thing. The creatures he was supposed to despise ended up being. . . Well, bodyguards. He wondered if anyone was watching him from above. It probably brought his parents great shame too. . . A guardian angel and a warrior angel. . . With their son committing a heinous crime. But there was no time to think about the possibility of meeting his parents on Earth. At the moment, he was watching to see of Kuro was okay. Considering the turkeys went back to waddling and pecking about, he assumed everything was okay.

And then moments later Kuro walked towards them. "Oh, good you're okay." He sighed in relief, whereas Dani growled a little.

"I can never have any fun around here." He grumbled like a kid and moved from his post by the run and relaxed. Aoba smiled at Kuro glad he was okay, and then looked back towards the forest. There was a significant gap since the last attack...Hopefully news didn't spread around extremely quick and more than just one or three demons would start appearing...That's the last thing they needed.

Kuro can feel the eyes upon him from behind, the others. . .Two at least, watching him return to the farm. They stay back, observe, he feels no killing intent from them so he does not charge after them. Despite their reputation, demons can be patient, can lean, and some even come to know better than to ask on their impulses. These watching him now, looking past him towards the little fallen angel as he comes into view to greet him, they are no fools. 'She was most likely a tool, goaded into attacking. She was easily manipulated' Kuro glances up at his brother as he moves in close to the run and with a silent communication he calls the smaller demon to come down and stand with him. Dropping down from his perch atop one of the four posts at the corners of the run Dani drops down, flaring his wings out as he comes to stand beside his little brother. It is rather old fashioned, but Kuro feels it may be worth the effort, and as far as Dani is concerned, anything he can to to amuse himself and keep the toy to himself is worth it.

Together the two sons of Satan stand, looking towards the presence much further back along the tree line, nearly at the edge of sight. Kuro's wings come out, one arching out behind Dani to show his support of the smaller demon, while Dani's arch up, showing his strength and willingness to fight. The watching demons look to one another, recognizing not only the act, but at the sight of Dani realize just who they are dealing with. Like smoke they drift away from the farm lands, far and away to talk about what they have learned. They will not attack now, some even talk of giving up altogether, however the discussion will not find an end any time soon. Dani snarls then chuckles. “That made'em think twice huh?” He look up at his little brother glad to have done at least some little thing to help. Kuro nods in reply before at last turning to the angel.

“Sorry for ignoring you. There were others, watching, and Dani and I were just letting them know we are alert and ready for a fight.” He waves a hand with a smile. “Old tradition, but it worked, they moved off.” He then looks to his big brother. “Now, you can never say I never do anything for you.” Dani does not recognize the joke and with a snap and a huff he wanders off to go watch the pregnant cow, maybe talk her into giving birth early. With a quick jump, a few beats of his wings making it easier before he puts them away, Kuro hops into the run and looks at Aoba with a very warm smile. “You are safe for now.” Moving in close he takes the angel's left hand and brings it up to just above waist level between them. “Hold still for a second.” he murmurs, and gentle he attaches something to Aoba's wrist.

The silver chain with faint gold etching here and there settle perfectly around the angel's wrist, a single amber charm dangling off of it catching the sunlight as Kuro turns Aoba's hand over to look at it. Holding on to the angel's hand with his right, his left slips forward to run gently through Aoba's hair. “I found this little trinket, and I thought it would suit you. Please keep it?” There is a touch of deviousness in his gaze, however for the most part he appears honest. It is not entirely a lie. He did find the ear that became the amber charm, and he really thinks the bracelet will suit the angel. He simply does not think Aoba needs to know just yet the full story behind the gift. His left hand drops down, not wanting to make Aoba fool too uncomfortable, however he continues holding the hand newly adorned with Kuro's gift, awaiting what the angel will have to say.

Before he got a response, the two males had their backs to him with their wings raised. Aoba's own had folded behind him, and he was practically hidden from sight. He didn't question what they were doing because he was sure it had to be for a reasonable purpose. He waited patiently, a little tempted to look over their wings, but he decided to stay back just in case something else happened. Luckily, nothing did and he was left with only two demons to keep up with. Two demons that weren't trying to kill him...hopefully weren't trying to kill him.

"Thank you." He was grateful for the protection. If there was one thing he knew he couldn't do on his own, that was definitely fighting off demons. Aoba wasn't built for fighting and he had no training or will to do such a thing. All he wanted to do was become a medic angel and help people. Now, he was reduced to a simple farmer. There was no reason to be sad about it now. He was sure he was sad enough over it before. Now, it was just the matter of survival without his magic or the skills. Aoba was practically a human with wings.

He looked down at the turkeys still wandering about, already finished with their food so he decided to put them back in their hut. As he turned, he felt Kuro grab a hold of his wrist and he looked back as if asking why he was stopping them from performing the task he wanted to do. He held still, and then eyed the silver chain with gold tints. It looked nice. He was a little weary at the mention of finding it, but because Kuro asked so nicely, Aoba nodded. "I'll keep it on. I still have the necklace by the way." He pulled it from his shirt and held it up along with the charm on his wrist. They were really nice gifts. "You've given me enough you know. There's no need for more gifts. Besides, I can't repay you for all of it. At least not any time soon. . ."

He kept the charm on and smiled gently. "But, thank you Kuro." He nodded and turned to finish his job. With a gentle whistle like before, he got their attention and then pointed towards the hut. "Back inside you all. No more running around." He gently shoved one of the turkeys forward and they all started to hustle into the hut. "It's dangerous around here. There are some mean demons that lurk around here. I don't want you guys getting hurt." He nodded and closed the small door after all of them had gotten inside. He realized Kuro probably didn't get to feed the other animals thanks to the demon that tried attacking, so he looked back at the barn.

"I'll help you get the rest of the animals fed."

'My angel has the cutest expressions. . .' Kuro muses, the look on his face when the demon held him from returning to the animals pulling at the corner of his lips. It grows into a full smile when Aoba agrees to keep the bracelet on. 'Good, the charm is infused with my energy. The more demons attack, the more trophies I get,t he safer he will be. A part of me hopes for some strong ones soon. The stronger the demon, the more potent the protection' He chuckles lightly, shaking his head at Aoba putting the animals away. However rather than flat out telling him that what's he's doing is wrong he nod in acceptance of the younger male's offer and murmurs, “And when we are done we can let the fowl back out so they can go about their day. After the fright from Dani and me they may calm faster in their homes, but they need to spend most of the day walking about in the run.”

Holding the door open he waits for Aoba to go through first before closing the gate behind them. He begins to hum softly, like a man carefree and happy, and for the first time a small piece of his heart hopes that one day he will be able to be just that. 'Demons and angels live for almost forever, and plotting for year upon decade is not unheard of as far as demon ambition goes. Many lifetimes may pass before my Little Mouse and I are able to live in anything resembling peace' He shakes his head gently in silent thought, moving to the barrels of food and going about his task without saying a word. His gaze is distant, and his expression, while a tad dark, calm and peaceful.

Dani watches his brother pass, rolling his eyes at the expression on his face. He only watches the other two for a few seconds before turning back to the cow, speaking to her as if she can understand him. “o, hey, does it ever move? I heard from a pregnant lady once that babies move when they’re growing, so I guess they must. Uhg, must feel awful, something moving around inside, poking at everything, bleh.” He tilts his head. “But, you’re making life, so is it, like, worth it or something? I mean, everything exists to further itself, and for females, and guys like Pops, that's having kids, right? If that's the case, then I guess anything would be worth making sure the baby comes out, 'cept losing your own life of course.”

At this Kuro comes out of thought with a laugh, Dani turning on him with a huff. The cow, that had been looking calmly back at the demon addressing her, drops her head to munch on her hay while he back is turned. She seems rather calm. “What's so funny!?” Dani pouts.

Kuro shakes his head, chuckling again before replying. “Well, just that part about not giving up your own life for the baby.” He tosses the last hand full to the mama pig and her piglets before turning to address Dani properly. “There are creatures on earth that give up their life just for the chance to try and make a baby.” The smaller demon's eyes go wide with disbelief. “The most notable is the Black Widow spider. The males are much smaller than the females, and when they want to mate they have to basically give up their lives in order to do so. Well, most die. Very few survive, hence the name of the species.” Dani is thunderstruck at this new tidbit of information and turns back to the cow to ask her if it's true. Kuro laughs once more and grabs up what will be needed to feed the pigs outside before heading out.

Glancing over at Aoba he says, “After this we'll herd the sheep and cows into the pasture for the day, then we can get to the planting portion of farming.” He looks off towards the trees. “Maybe, sometime later this year, we can plant a little orchard on the forest side of the field. . .” He likes the idea of fresh fruit, and if they buy sizable saplings, they can have fruit as early as next year.

"Oh. Oh okay." He had to make note that the birds could roam around freely, and together. A mistake he could fix in no time, besides, he was still learning anyway. Aoba was sure he'd get it soon enough. The farming experience wasn't so hard thanks to the instructions he was given. If it wasn't for that, he would be more clueless than he was now. The only thing that probably was a challenge was the physical labor part. He walked over to the barn and looked over at Dani who was talking to the momma cow. Even a demon like Dani had his moments where he appeared so docile and innocent. Especially when Kuro explained that some did give up their lives just for children. Aoba wasn't sure about the specifics of a spider, but he did know that over time some humans did give up their lives for their children. Aoba laughed softly towards Dani's astonishment and helped Kuro take food to the pigs outside. "You can be such an adorable child when you want to be."

Aoba walked out to the pig pen and helped Kuro with the feeding process. He was careful not to get too dirty as they fed them. To be so chubby and cute, they were some filthy eaters. He whistles a made up tune while he worked and when he was done, he brushed his hands against the bottom of his shirt, with the results of staining it. "Oh darn." He huffed. "Well, I did plan on taking a bath later." He spoke out to know one in particular.

After a moment, he looked over at Kuro. "I'm going to go let the birdied out alright? It'll be quick and then I'll help with the others." He didn't know why he had the sudden urge to test out his wings again. Aoba knew he knew how to use them, but he normally walked everywhere he needed to go. The run wasn't that far, so it wasn't like he could harm himself too much. Aoba waited for Kuro's approval before opening his wings out and flying off. His take off was a little unsteady, but he caught himself and straightened out. "This is fun." He smiled and flew a little higher, now looking down at the chicken coop and the turkey hut. He knew he wasn't as agile as the demons were, so he carefully landed on the ground- although that ended with him stumbling forward. "...Not bad."

His wings folded and he straightened up and walked over to open the doors for them. The two sets of birds flapped out and began to roam. Aoba nodded and made sure none of them dawdled behind before walking out and closing the gate behind him. With a small jump, he was in the air and flying back over towards the barn. The sight of fluffy wings caught Dani's attention and he stopped conversing with Mom and watched as Aoba barely stuck his landing. He rolled his eyes and stood up. "You're doing it all wrong. If you're going to land like that, you can't lean forward. That's why you keep stumbling forward."

Aoba blinked and then nodded. "Oh, thank you. I'll keep that in mind next time."

Dani slowly turns his head to watch the angel walk out of the barn after his comment. 'Who's that baby calling a child?' Huffing lightly he turns his attention back to the mama cow. “That angel is an odd one. I could eat him in less time than it takes to draw a breath, and he still looks at me sometimes like. . .Like I'm as harmless as you. Weird huh? Even you know how dangerous I am, and you're and animal.” The cow moos softly and Dani laughs. “You for that right. And who would want to be an 'adorable child' anyways?” She moos again. “Well I suppose. . .”

~*~*~*~*~

Kuro feeds the pig with Aoba, his mood lightened after watching his brother fall into utter shock over the self sacrifice of some species. 'Humans are that way too, at least the dying for their young part, but I think I made the right choice about the spider. More of a shock to find out that some dye just for the chance at breeding' He chuckles softly before turning his attention to the man at his side. As he laments soiling his clothing the demon is about to tell him that he can wash the dirt out when without warning Aoba decides to head over to the run to take care of the birds. With a smile he nods, watching the angel's shaky takeoff, following his flight until he lands. The stumble makes his smile widen before he too turns to speak to an animal. The pigs skitter this way and that as he moves closer to the pen once more, having waited away from the food until he was done placing it and stepped away. Unlike the mother cow, these pigs seems as skittish as any animal should be around a demon.

“You know, as cute and helpless as he seems, this spike every once in a while of need to do things on his own speaks to me. He wants so badly to be self sufficient, and here I go behind his back every so often to help in ways he doesn't even know of. Almost feels like I'm lying to him. . .” The pigs snort and snuffle, wanting to get back to their food. So, with a smile of thanks for them listening, he moves away to the barn. Passing his brother, still deep in conversation with the pregnant female, he settles in to wait for Aoba against a stall door. 'But it's not really lying' he continues on silently. 'And even if it was, I have no problem doing it. If it for his benefit, it doesn't really matter. Sure, he'll get mad at me if he finds out I have been less than honest, but I have the feeling he's got some system for putting all my “bad habits" in the “He's a demon” category in his mind. There are some things I feel he wants to call me on, but because I'm a demon, he. . .He doesn't excuse them, he just sets them aside, labeling it a demon thing out of comfort'

There has been many times the little angel had seemed ready to say something, only to bite his tongue and almost ignore Kuro until he was done with whatever he was doing. The demon has no idea what exactly it means, however for now he contents himself with his explanation. When Aoba finally shows up he directs him to stand in the same place as the day before and begins driving out the small herd of animals. There is a chorus of noises from the sheep and cows, mostly objections at having to pass so close to Dani, however eventually they are all out of the barn and heading for the turn point. “All your Little Mouse!” he calls out before racing over to open the gate, taking his place off to the side to keep them from wandering over to the road. Once they are all in the pasture and the gate is close Kuro smiles at Aoba and motions towards the barn. “I saw some of the stuff we will need in the storage area, the place with the food in it. After you!” He seems rather cheerful, the prospect of watching Aoba engage in actual hard manual labor very alluring to the easily amused demon.

Dani only turned away from the thank you and went back to his conversation with the momma cow. Aoba smiled at the interaction, but looked over at Kuro when he instructs him. Aoba takes his place where he stood last time he herded the animals and got ready. At first, it seemed like they all rushed out in a hurry, but they soon fell into a casual walk to the pasture. One sheep turned to walk past Aoba but his wings snapped out instantly. "No, no silly sheep. Follow your friends that way." He gave the sheep a gentle push and it turned.

He patted the sheep's head as it walked off and waited for the other animals to go by. Aoba waited patiently until the gate was closed. When it was, it meant it was time for the next task. Things went a little faster with the animals now that he had more knowledge of what he was doing. That, and the temperatures weren't too high. There was still a cooling breeze every now and then, making the fallen angel hope it wouldn't get any hotter than it was. But, they still had the whole day to go through and a lot of work to be done according to his Book of Farming.

Still full of energy, Aoba moved with haste towards the storage area. Sure enough, behind the food were some tools they were to use. He leaned over the bags and barrels and grabbed them one by one. "Alright. . ." He looked at the small pile of farming instruments and crossed his arms. "The first thing we have to do. . .would be tilling. That's done with. . .this one right?" Aoba pointed to two plows in the pile and looked over at Kuro for an answer.

Dani had been leaning against the gate of the pregnant cow's stable when the sounds of clanking metal disturbed his small talk. He watched Aoba pull out tool after tool and then huffed. "So much physical labor for no reason. . ." He shook his head and looked at the cow. 'To like the toy so much, he sure makes him do a lot of work. . .Aren't you suppose to pamper the things you like or something?' He was going to say it out loud, but he wasn't sure what Kuro's reaction would be. And he definitely didn't want to have his wings getting hurt again.

"What do you mean for no reason?" Aoba picked up the tools, holding them under his arm in order to take them outside. "I have to plant food you know, to survive and all. And I'm pretty sure that's the only way to plant things."

With a slight spring in his step Kuro follows behind the angel, letting him take point on retrieving the tools they will need. Looking over the old rusted things he shakes his head lightly, deciding to fix them up a little bit before actually using them. “Yes, just one for now. I'll pull out the second one once you're set. . .” He takes the heavy object, admiring the fact that Aoba was even able to move it within reach. He smiles as he pulls out a handful of picks, hoes, shovels and the like, setting each one aside as he is handed them. He waves a hand, signaling they have enough, then hands an armload of them to Aoba before picking up the rest, including the heavy plow. At Dani's remark Kuro simply rolls his eyes, however Aoba, good spirit that he is, actually gives the demon a proper response.

Dani shakes his head, still not getting it. Hopping down from the side of the pen he follows the two of them out of the barn as they make their way over to the field. “I mean, I know you said he has to show an effort, but c'mon! These are heaven's bitches we're talking about! They’re not gonna get pissed if you just provide him food after all. Sure, have him do farm work, take care of the beasts, but I don't see the points in going all the way into making him as lowly as a human!”

Kuro simply shakes his head again. “Dani, Aoba wants to do this. Who am I to stop him? I don't own him after all.”

Dani pauses, then runs up behind his brother, darting in front of him and confronting him head on, making the taller demon have to stop or run into the smaller one. Kuro opts for stopping. Dani looks very confused and without any regard for the implications behind his question he asks, “You don't?”

The little brother is eternally grateful that Aoba is out of earshot when he asks this, not wanting to address this just yet with the young angel. In a soft voice he replies, “A bird in the wild is far more entertaining than one in a cage, don't you agree?” Moving past his big brother Kuro glances over his shoulder to see Dani seriously contemplating the question, turning to follow once more but at a much slower pace. Once they are in the field Kuro has Aoba set the tools down and with a little expended effort he sharpens those that need sharpening, and tightens those parts that have become loose. They are by no means brand new, but now they do not have to worry about them breaking or falling apart.

“There we are. . . .” Kuro murmurs, a look of satisfaction on his face. Looking to Dani, who is still deep in thought, perched atop the fence running around the field, he snaps his fingers a few times to get his attention. When at last Dani looks to him the little brother gives him a smile. “Hey, Dani, lend me one of your pets.”

Dani quickly comes out of his funk. “Why?! No! What do you want it for! You have your own! I-”

Kuro cuts him off. “I thought you might want to show Aoba your brood, but I guess if you don't think they're up to snuff, I cou-”

“No no! They're perfect! How dare you question that!” Not realizing he's being played Dani scowls and with a whistle he opens a gate to hell. The swirling mass of red, black, and purple lasts only a few seconds, just long enough for a beast the size of a minivan to charge through. Dani jumps forward as the gate closes, bringing the beast to a stop with just a raised hand, and after a few silent seconds he reaches up and pats it one the nose. The creature looks a lot like a very large horse, it's body structured much like one, however it's feet and head are those of a canine, and the tail one of a feline. Mounted on it's back are large bat wings that may prove to be a bit troublesome for what Kuro plans, however he's willing to try and work around them. The odd compilation of animals that seem to converge to make this pitch black beast fit seamlessly together, and rather than looking like a hodg podg, it comes across as rather elegant.

Once Dani steps away it rears and plunges a few times before Kuro stills it with the same gesture Dani had. Dani huffs at the fact that it's obeying his little brother, but looking past the taller demon he seems to puff up proudly as he meets Aoba's eye. Moving so he doesn't have to look over Kuro's shoulder to see the angel the smaller demon gestures to the beast with flare. “This is the best from my brood of Neo Nightmares. They are more flexible and more deadly than a regular nightmare, and they are fifty percent stronger! By replacing the flame feet flight from them and adding wings instead I improved their mid air maneuverability considerably, and the canine and feline parts add to their attack an balance, respectively.” Dani is practically glowing with pride at this point, the Neo Nightmare sniffing past Kuro at the angel, trying to get a better look. Dani nods sharply. “They're also at least twenty percent smarter, not as much as I'd hoped, but it is easier to train them than the originals. More brain power. They're not mindless killing machines anymore.” He chuckles softly, waiting for Aoba to give his opinion.

The beast nibbles at Kuro, still trying to get past to check out the angel. However Kuro too wants to hear Aoba's opinion before letting it wander over to begin inspecting his precious Little Mouse. After all, it is one of Dani's creations, and it may not be a mindless killer, but there is always the chance that if Dani gets upset from the opinion then the beast will attack what made him angry.

Aoba heaved his load of equipment out to the field. He made it there first, so he ended up waiting for the two demons to follow suit. He didn't know what they were murmuring about, but obviously it wasn't meant for him to know. So, he stood next to his pile of tools that he was designated to bringing. Kuro set his down as well, but before they could begin Kuro went to work readjusting the tools to make sure they worked. After a few times of Kuro doing so, Aoba decided to look over at Dani who seemed to be deep in thought. He wondered what Kuro said to make him like that. Maybe it was something about the cow again. It was a matter for some other time because Dani was soon talking about a pet. Dani was able to take care of something like a dog? Hm, maybe it was a hell hound. . . But by the pictures in the books he had seen- those things were vicious and scary.

The fallen angel was quiet as Dani and Kuro had a small exchange. He couldn't stifle the small giggle at how easily Dani managed to become persuaded. "What kind of pet does Dani have?" His voice was soft as if he didn't want Dani to hear him ask the question. Before the demon beside him could answer, Dani whistled. Aoba's attention turned to the new sight of none other than a gate to hell. It made his eyes widen in surprise and albeit a natural fear that he had. His wings pulled back behind him tight and he stepped back. The swirling mass made him feel a little queasy as well, but that was probably natural for angels and demons. The feeling only lasts for a few seconds, because some large creature charged out of said portal.

It was a natural instinct for him to be fearful of such a large beast. He was from hell after all. The appearance showed that. "That's definitely. . . Not a dog. . ." Instead of darting off to safety, he ends up staring it over. "What an odd...mix." He spotted a horse body, canine like paws and head, a catlike tail, and large wings. He was definitely in shock, and Dani was obviously proud of it. Aoba could tell that the Neo Nightmare wanted to get closer to him, but the fallen angel wasn't too keen on that. The thing looked dangerous- even after the explanation.

"What is...it... going to do?" Aoba's eyes never left the creature, in paranoia and in fear that it might disobey orders.

"It's name is Dixson. . . And what do you want with my pet anyway Kurotama?"

Aoba mustered up a little courage. But just enough to to inch forward. That small movement made Dicxson lift his head away from Kuro in curiosity. This on the other hand made Aoba flinch and stop moving. Dani raised an eyebrow and crossed his arms. "He won't attack unless I tell him to. Calm down-." There was an insult lingering after, but he bit his tongue and watched Aoba scoot closer to the Neo Nightmare. . . Though he was scooting more so behind Kuro for safety precautions. The animal if he could be called one was more curious now that Aoba had moved closer, but he seemed a little annoyed that Kuro was blocking his path.

Kuro chuckles at the assessment of Dicxson not being a dog, patting it on the nose gently. “Well, not entirely.” he murmurs, the beast now headbutting him. The tall demon is sturdy though and the motion only succeeds in making him chuckle. 'I love animals. They are so. . . .' He can not find the words for gust what they are, however furious scratching effectively distracts the hell creature while he listens to the rest of the back and forth between his brother and the angel, before both turn on him with the same question. He opens his mouth to respond, however his attention is caught by Aoba, sneaking up behind him for protection. The neo nightmare lays it's head on Kuro's shoulder best in can manage and take long whiffs of the little one's scent, sneezing happily.

He gives the angel a reassuring smile as Dani speaks up on the matter of Aoba's safety. Looking back to Dicxson he murmurs loud enough for everyone to hear. “Well, in order to use the plow, we needed a big, strong beast. It had to be smart and hard working, and since I know Dani has been working so hard to cultivate these fellows, and they seem absolutely perfect, I decided to give Dani the chance to show them off, and get some work done in the process.” He looks over his shoulder at the angel. “Normally one would use a horse, but I'm sure Dani will agree that Dicxson here is far better than any old horse.” Out of the corner of his eye Kuro spots Dani nodding vigorously, still holding his head up proudly.

'Good, he's not fitting over the fact that I'm going to be putting it to a menial task, but his judgment at least. I do not have any great love for all this flattery I have to spew, but while my beasts would work, and indeed I'll be summoning one for myself, Dani's creation is in truth far better for the task at hand' Now positive that Aoba is at lease as safe as anyone could be around such an animal Kuro lays a hand aside Dicxson's neck and takes a step backwards. The beast follows and once close enough to Aoba for it to reach the smaller male it leans right over Kuro's shoulder and begins snuffling at his head and neck like a giant curious puppy. Dani giggles at this, as does his little brother, Kuro keeping a hand on it's neck should Aoba request he move it back.

"I was wondering what animal we'd use for this. . . But never did I think- well that." He was still behind Kuro, though the large beast continued to push forward and sniff at him. Slowly but surely he started to realize there was no real harm coming from the creature. It acted as any normal animal would, just a lot larger. He decided to appeal to Dani as well, more so because he was coming to terms with the beast in front of him. "He does look very sturdy and strong. I think he'll be able to get the job done faster than a horse." Dani merely beams at all the praise, making Aoba laugh lightly.

While he did, he didn't realize Kuro moving and Dicxson moving closer. So when he felt the sniffing close by he jumped, only to relax right after and laugh. He gently pushed his nose downward, only for the neo nightmare to gently nudge into him. "How. . . Oddly cute." He started to pet Dicxson's head only for the creature to happily growl. The comment made Dani roll his eyes, and move over to where Aoba and Kuro stood.

"He's not meant to be cute ." Dani crossed his arms and looked at Kuro. "Hook him up already would you. Enough with the babying. I don't need my pets becoming. . . Soft." He huffed and watched as Dicxson caught sight of Aoba's wings and decided to sniff at those as well. Aoba laughed and tried to move away, only to be followed him.

'All the puppy love! All of it!' Kuro can not help but thinking as he moves to the side, granting Dicxson better access to the angel while he begins working. In his mind he pictures the plow harness a horse would normally use and begins morphing it into an image of what he will need for it to work on this beast instead. 'Aoba will need a firm leader, this guy will want to lead and wander, but we need nice straight lines' His gaze wanders over the land, the amount of greenery sprouting up all over rather discouraging. 'Even after plowing and planting, we're going to have to weed a lot to keep up with all this. . .I could just get rid of them now. . .' He shakes his head, walking over to pat the neo nightmare on the neck.

“We'll get the job done.” he murmurs to no one in particular before whispering a few words of comfort to the large animal. It pulls its head back from lipping Aoba's shoulder and looks at him, it's pointed canine ears shifting forward to listen. Dani huffs, putting a hand on his little brother's back for an instant. The action shoots a little energy into the larger demon for him to lace into his next spell so it will feel familiar to Dicxson. Kuro ignores his big brother and instead begins running his index and middle finger around the creature's body. In there wake is a stream of glowing black energy, and after a few seconds the energy crackles and becomes leathers straps, following Kuro's fingers like a string of firecrackers. Once he moves on the the bridle Dicxson tries to buck at the energy being used direction on his face, however after a few soothing pats from Kuro it settles.

Once the harness and bit-less bridle are in place the larger demon makes the actual straps necessary for not only hooking Dicxson to the plow, but also very long reins so Aoba can control his head when he tries to wander. The beast doesn't like them very much but as long as the little angel stays gentle, but firm, Kuro believes he will comply. 'The hard part will be when my Little Mouse has to get firm. Dicxson will not comply like other animals, you have to [/b]make[/b] him comply sometimes, by making sure it knows you're the master. I can't see Aoba being too happy with this, nor Dani for that matter, but oh well. Work with what you got, right?' Looking over to said angel he smiles warmly and motions him to come closer. Dicxson stays in place, the bridle keeping him from turning to follow the angel with just a little tug on the reins from Kuro.

Quickly attaching the neo nightmare to the plow Kuro sets about explaining how to hold the handles, about the calls to use to direct Dicxson, as well as doing his best to stress the importance of making sure not to let the beast have his way. “Dicxson is not like our other animals. He's smarter, cunning, and built as a battle partner, not a steed per se. He will have his own ideas, but because he doesn't know this work, his ideas won't work. You have to stay in control of him, even when he looks upset.” He goes on to explain how to use the halter properly, Dani rolling his eyes and wondering why Angels don't have beasts of their own.

'Well, at least, I haven't seen any. I've been kicking angel ass for years, but I've never seen them bring in any kind of back-up other than other angels! Why haven't we eradicated them all yet?' He huffs, patting Dicxson on the neck and rolling his eyes once more before making his way back over to the fence. He'd rather nod see what'll happen if he gets in the way of Kuro and Aoba's “Work”.

Once he is sure Aoba gets it Kuro steps back with a nod, handing over the reins. “It'll be hard at first, but don't mind that the lines aren't perfectly straight. Just focus on not falling over for now.” He chuckles lightly, staying in close until Aoba feels ready to start trying.

"I think he likes me." Aoba smiled and then watched as Kuro pulled him away. He began to use his magic to create the materials necessary, and Aoba watched as Dicxson moved around in protest every once in awhile. He didn't realize he was holding his hands together really tight behind his back. This subconscious act was probably because even though he didn't admit it, Aoba still longed for his healing magic. Maybe the act would squeeze at least a drop of magic out of his hands. Eventually, he did let go and focused more on Kuro's words.

Being told that he was going to have to do it surprised him a little. 'Well, I did ask to do things myself. . .' Trying to be independent so much must have led Kuro to just hand him the responsibilities. 'Man, this will be a lot of work. . .' His mental distresses made him sigh gently, but other than that, he looked eager to begin. Kuro explained how to go about handling the animal and what he was supposed to do. This part, of course Aoba paid close attention. He didn't want to screw up the task too bad.

With a nervous sigh, Aoba takes a step closer to Dicxson and grabs the reins. They had an odd feeling to them probably because they were made from demon magic, but he ignored it to focus on his task. He held tight to it and stood behind the plow. His nervousness showed as he held onto the plow after putting the reins around him. "Alright. We can do this Dicxson. Shouldn't be too, too bad right?" He received some sort of huff from the creature, and assumed that meant it okay. He stared at that reins for a moment before giving Dicxson the go to start moving. Almost immediately, the creature went forward, jerking Aoba and the plow with him. Somehow, he managed to only stumble and not fall face first on the ground. "Nyah! S-Slow down!" He pulled on the reins making Dicxson reel back before slowing down. . . Well at least they were still in a straight line. . ?

Aoba sighed and then adjusted the plow, trying to keep it balanced while leading as well. "It's okay, only the first try. . ." He mumbled and then looked backwards. He didn't plow anything, but it was okay considering he managed to at least stay in a straight line. . . Sort of. Baby steps. Aoba focused on getting Dicxson to walk straight first. Like a curious puppy, he started wandering every which way making Aoba have to tug at the reins in order for him to go the other way.

Aoba's eyes seem a little wider than usual as he watches intently to the instructions and Kuro smiles softly at it. 'He almost looked stunned when I said he would be driving Dicxson, but he looks over that now' Once he steps back and Aoba takes his position the demon watches closely as he settles in for his first try. A look of apprehension lurks just beneath the surface smile as he waits, his hopes that the beast will not suddenly run away with the angel standing on a razors edge, and for a long moment he considers just doing it himself to avoid letting Aoba get hurt. From behind Dani watches his little brother grow more and more tense and he finds himself following suit. He does not really know why, other than such tension is normally reserved for battle and as his sibling he is always ready to back Kuro up.

'Such a dolt, getting so worked up, making me. . .Hmph' He dies his best to relax but as one the brothers jolt forward slightly at the false start. With another harrumph however Dani settles back in and crosses his arms, determined not to do it again.

Kuro on the other hand drops his happy facade and watches with open apprehension, his hands clenched over his middle. However as he goes on, the only real issue being that Aoba can't seem to get the plow to do any digging, Kuro is able to breath easier. He still looks openly worried as Dicxson tries almost non-stop to wander and explore. 'That one, is he a pup? I could have sworn he'd have more discipline by now. . . .But maybe, it's because my Little Mouse does not feel “right” to him. . .' With a sigh Kuro realizes that he needs to relax, let the boy learn, and with one last whistle to Dicxson he turns and heads back into the barn to grab the second plow.

Once he is out of sigh, Dani hops off the fence and begins walking next to Aoba, bombarding him with questions and criticisms about work and his handling of Dicxson respectively. Kuro hears none of this and when he walks back out with the plow the smaller demon is already back on the fence with a superior looking smile on his lips. Kuro raises an eyebrow at this both otherwise ignores his big brother, instead focusing on making the equipment ready for use. Once it is sharpened, a few rust spots removed, and a bolt or two tightened, he deems it satisfactory and stands. Dani shuffles across the fence so that he is as close to his little brother as he can get before calling out, “I thought all your beasts were babies.”

Kuro turns to look at him and huffs. “They are young, but a few have matured more quickly than is normal for the breeds used.” Dani tilts his head as if trying to recall something difficult.

“You used. . . .Hell hound, Inferno Cat, and some sort of earth thing, right?” It is clear from his tone that he disapproves of the last animal used.

Kuro sighs and nods, “It's called a Luna Moth, you dolt.” Dani sticks out his tongue and pouts a bit. Of course he didn't remember, it's a stupid animal after all, in his opinion at least. Kuro rolls his eyes again and touching a finger to his pendant he opens a gate just like his big brother's. This one leads to his own pit instead of Dani's, and the beast that jumps through is decidedly smaller. About the side of a two-seater sports care, if not counting the six foot tail, Kuro's creation looks much less like pieces put together and more like a finer cross breeding. The hear, while decided feline, has a longer snout like a dog's, but only slightly. The legs look a little longer than a cat's, but with the structure and paws clearly feline. The tail, looking like that of a snow leopard but all black, whips back and forth like a dog wagging it's tail happily, and it's ears stand up like a cat's, but the tip on the left folds over like it does in some dogs. The body is covered in plush but not fluffy or shaggy hair, like the stuff found on spaniels.

However the most prominent features are of course the only non mammalian parts, the only parts that have color. Mounted on it's back, folded in such a way that it almost looks like sheets crumpled up and set atop the beast, the wings furl and unfurl as it wanders up to Kuro, it's eyeless face turning this way and that as it's feathery antenna wave back and forth. The beautiful green color of the wings seems to look perfect against the black fur and Kuro smiles as it pats Dalia gently on the neck. “My, how you have grown. I knew you were shooting right up, but I guess the time away has really given you time to bulk up, huh?” Dani rolls his eyes at the way Kuro fawns over the beast, but stays silent. After a few more pats, Kuro turns to watch Aoba for a bit, wanting to make sure he's doing okay on his own before hooking Dalia up and heading to where he will begin plowing as well. Since it is the first year, and they are plowing by hand, Kuro makes the wise decision not to do the entire field. Instead his mind plots out about a fourth of it to work on this year.
