Bael - InevitableBael raised both of his arms, shadow gathering around them; then, he slammed his palms together, a
legendary sword appearing between his palms. He picked it up normally with his right hand, holding it front of him as he kept an intense stare over at the woman, who in response, drawed a long, normal katana from her back, smirking broadly as she vaguely pointed her index finger towards the sword-wielding demon.
"Oh, that's an interesting blade. I wonder if you're capable of wielding it." The tone in her voice was so volatile that Bael could barely keep himself from becoming irritated. He gripped the blade tigther as it began to release a strange dark mist from the blade, the material glowing ever so slightly in a gray color. He began to sprint at her, while she remained in place, waiting the boy's attack. He grinned broadly when he got close enough, moving his blade to slash her upper body; the woman easily parried... except.
The Umbra Regis or the blade of The Shadow Reign is not an average sword. It is shadow itself and it's impossible to parry it, as it goes through every material thing existing within this world, except the wielder's foes. The woman noticed extremely quickly that she didn't parry his attack and quickly leaped to the side, gripping her shoulder which had received a cut from that mistake of thinking she could beat him so easily; strangely enough however, the fabric of her clothes were left unharmed. The demon's cold eyes glanced over her form, his head tilting to the side.
"Hmm." Was all the boy said, assuming a combat stance again, his sword pointed towards the right; he'd attempt another slashing attack more than likely. The woman prepared herself, keeping in mind that she'd need to dodge and that parrying was useless.
Both of them changed looks; and soon, the two quickly lunged at one another, Bael kept trying to slash the woman; who dodged his attacks with ease, but wasn't attacking back, trying to get the perfect opportunity to. Bael couldn't notice, but her sword was glowing with a strange green mist; just as he tried to stab her, she moved aside and pressed the tip of her blade against his shoulder, creating a small wound. The demon groaned and retreated, keeping his sword up. He began to realize how slow his movements were getting; the woman was walking calmly towards him, and yet he couldn't move away. After twenty-five seconds, his sight was no more; neither could he hear, or feel. Suddenly, when he opened his eyes; he had been knocked off the ground and was launched a pretty good distance into the air; the woman leaped after him, preparing to strike. The Demon simply dissipated into shadows.
"What?!" The woman grunted out in surprise just as the demon materialized himself just under her, at the shadow she herself created. He extended his arm up as two shadow tendrils quickly travelled towards her- these tendrils wrapped themselves around her right foot and a part of her leg. The demon quickly slammed his hand forward as the shadow tendrils followed his movements, slamming the woman against the ground with a powerful thud. She groaned and rolled around in the floor for a moment before sitting up, clutching her sides.
Fuck, this boy is not so bad, I think I just broke a rib or two. Picking up her blade, she stood up again. This time, her expression changed. She wasn't playing around anymore. Bael could notice the shift in her general expression, though he kept a fairly confident smirk.
ZaelynZaelyn kept a warm smile, her eyes glancing between Mercy and Garden as they left, following the rather.. loud and flashy boy which had hugged Matt moments ago. Once they left, her eyes glanced over at Matt, her smile faltering for a moment.
"Uh, hey? I hope you didn't go with your friends because of me, you know." She told him, feeling a bit annoyed. She just met this boy and was already making him miss things which he likely wanted to go. Still, her eyes curiously glanced over at the man behind the counter, both eyebrows blinking in Unison. Strangely enough, she covered her
normal eye; it was nearly as if she was trying to scan the man with the single fiery eye, but alas, she couldn't exactly see
what he was just like she had seen what Matt was before.
"So... what are you drinking?" She asked right after, turning her head to face Matt with a single eye staring at him. She had forgotten that she was covering her normal eye, still.
