SUPER IMPORTANT UPDATE
This RP starts with them not knowing their powers. It is only three months into this "apocalypse" so attacks are still relatively low but still out and about. In the first few posts of the IC RP they discover their powers.
God is dead.
Did God even exist?
I don’t believe in God.
And now nobody ever will.
It’s the apocalypse. The end of the world.
They’re here. They’re coming. You are going to stop them.
It started small. Strange creatures, monsters you could call them, began appearing. They were humanoid, so the first few news reports were nothing special. “Maniac brutally slaughters family of five.” “Door torn to shreds, work of man or beast?” “‘There might be a new drug on the loose,’ Sheriff Cody says.”
They appeared in the most random places, from sunny California all the way to the tea farmers in China to the Aboriginals in Australia. Their numbers grew. Of course, the government tried to keep this as hush-hush as possible, but let’s face it, would it be possible to cover something like this up?
The creature began to get names. Beasts, some called them. Monsters, crazies, demons. Demons. Demons was the name that stuck, Demons was the name that spread. Of course, with the name Demons, the thoughts of Angels and God came in.
But of course God had nothing to do with this. In fact, there is no God. Not here and not now.
Of course, controversies started. Believers believed in praying, non-believers believed in fighting. But one thing was for certain, and that was that the Demons will slaughter any human it can get its filthy hands on.
Total chaos has not started yet. China, Russia, Europe, even Australia and Africa have found methods of slaying Demons and keeping themselves safe. America though… America’s really where all the trouble starts because it seems to collect the most hard-headed, prideful, argumentative, but strangely loyal and determined people. And from America is where our Demon Hunters come from.
The Demon Hunters
Hunters for short. Not to be confused with anybody or anything from TV show Supernatural (Destiel all the way). There are six Hunters in total. Yes, only six. Three males and three females, with varying race, age, and histories (or not, whatever you choose). Two popped up in California, two in Maine, and two in Texas. They may be residents, they may be visitors, you choose.
The Hunters are all different, very different, but all have one thing in common. Their Common Sense, not to be confused with Common Sense by Thomas Paine (ahaha History sucks I’m a bitter high school student). Common Sense is the ability that the the Hunters collectively share, allowing them to sense the locations of the nearest Hunter, as well as their health and danger levels. There is no distance limit, but they can only sense ONE Hunter at a time.
The two Hunters in California instinctively try to locate each other. The two in Maine instinctively try to locate each other. The two in Texas instinctively try to locate each other. As they fight and grow in power and in relationships with each other, they begin to move towards the other four Hunters. Now, the Hunters don’t always click with each other. They can hate each other. But they still have to be with each other.
Let’s get to the juicy part. Their powers. Abilities. Whatever you or they wish to call them. Their abilities can range from telekinesis to healing, but all start off small. Meaning, when your Hunter realizes that they’re a Hunter and is granted powers, it’s weak. For example, a fire-breathing Hunter can’t shoot out a Fire Blast yet. If your partner is deathly injured, a healing Hunter cannot bring them back to full health.
I put a great emphasis on a Healing Hunter. In this RP, I would like one of you, male or female, to be a Healer. Other than that, there are no restrictions other than to not be a Mary Su/Gary Stu. No perfects. Well, one restriction would be to try not to double up on powers.
Romance is allowed. Ahem, encouraged… I believe it makes things more fun and interesting.
Only two players are allowed two characters at max, one of each gender, and their characters may not be in the same state together.
Weapons are allowed, as long as you have a legit way of having/getting them.
My character has had her powers long before this began. She has also known about this long before anyone else has. None of your characters know that, of course… So your characters all assume that she is in the same situation as them.
Character Form, please post your character form here before being approved into the OOC (to be posted around the weekend perhaps)

My Character Sheet:
Name: September Hope
Gender: Female
Age: 17
Looks: She is a very short girl, 5’2, with waist-length, dark brown hair. Her hair is generally straight, parted through the middle-right of her crown, and bangs on both sides of her face go a few inches lower than her shoulders. Her hair is roughly cut, as if with a dull knife, sort of shaggy around the edges, while still having a healthy sheen to it. Through her bangs, on the left side, is a navy-blue stripe. The tips of her hair are coloured a rich, royal indigo, and there are inky black streaks through the rest of her hair. These colours sort of sprung up when she got her powers, so no dyes were used. Her eyes are large and almond- shaped, generally hazel. She's vaguely bi-eyed, as her left eye is a darker shade of brown, while her right eye has a greener tint to it. They sparkle and shine like solid orbs of water, reflecting she world she sees.
She wears a flowly black veil-like jacket over a black, skintight t-shirt and black shorts, as well as black socks with no shoes. Around her neck is a four-foot long strip of black cloth, which she uses as a headband and hairband when the situation demands it. Her figure is petite, very petite, with no curves but around the hips and thighs. She has full lips and accentuated cheekbones, as well as a slightly defined jawline.
Personality: September is someone most people avoid at first. Despite how small she is, people tend to say that she's "intimidating." She doesn't talk much, and simply watches as the day goes by, absorbing in everything she sees and hears. On the outside, she seems cold and uncaring, almost spiteful. Her hair hangs in front of her face, hiding her eyes and all emotion.
On the inside, she's really the opposite of what she seems. People close to her describe it as a radiating field of calm, not warmth, but coolness, while also having a hilarious darkly sarcastic side to her. She loves animals with all her heart, she loves reading, she loves writing, and never leaves the house without her notebook and pen. Her compassion for living things is almost palpable if she sees an animal or, much less likely, human. September can always tell if someone's having a bad day, and would carefully approach them. Before they knew it, they would spill their entire life story to September, and she would listen without a word. This is how her small about of friends was made.
History: I’ll keep this part a mystery for you all.
Power/Weapon: Shapeshift/Telepathy (read on)
Power/Weapon Description:
1. She can telepathically communicate will all living things (vegetation too, but obviously not having a real "conversation" with them). She can communicate with animals, befriend them, and they see September as sort of the "Child of Gaia," or "Child of Mother Nature”
2. She can also transform into basically every animal known to man, but it drains her of her energy. If they were to be mythical or superpowerful creatures (like a dragon or an elephant) that takes more of her energy
3. Along with transforming into animals, she can also morph halfway into animals, like having cat ears and a tail with retractable claws, but still looking mainly like a human. Or giving herself eagle wings, so she can fly while looking like a human.
4. When in human form, her senses are naturally/permanently heightened. Like she can see, smell, and hear better than normal humans. Her reflexes were always cat-like, and she can make herself stronger and faster than people her age and size.
5. She carries one switchblade with her, brought from home, strapped to her left upper arm. Strapped to her waist and thighs are metal throwing needles, and she has the accuracy to pierce through an eyeball straight out of the back of the skull.
Power Limitations (if any): Her increased sensitivity can give her severe migraines in bright light, strong smells, loud noises, and she is extremely sensitive to touch. Mainly she doesn’t let anyone touch or come too near her, really.
Location: California
Other: She may seem all-powerful but I’ll make sure she isn’t on the long run. And remember, she knows things that none of y’all know, but y’all don’t know that she knows…
Whew, that took a while... I'm currently constructing the storyline a little further, will probably take a few days, but for now I'd like to collect OOC's and interest! After I've collected everyone it will be moved over to the OOC where discussion and chatter will happen then finally, when darned Finals are over, we shall begin.
