Tyrion's execution is a bigger spectacle than Ned Stark's. It was actually hard to read because you know there's nothing that's going to get him out of it, be it his wits, Bronn, or Jaime.

Making it worse, the sword Joffery had forged from Ice as a gift from Tywin, Widow's Wail, is the device used in the execution. It's kind of the final parallel between Tyrion and Ned, two men who were betrayed after trying to do right.

I love how bittersweet this story gets, I am kind of anxious to see if they do the scene with the same gravity I felt reading it.

Wellll, not quite. He didn't just want to kill the Mountain, he also wanted to know if Tywin gave a direct order for the killings. He wanted to survive this fight and kill anyone else involved in the killings. Sure, he might've gotten the Mountain (assuming the wounds are enough to kill the big fuck, or if he used poison as some people have suggested in this thread), but that was only the first name on his list, not the whole thing.

In regards to the message to me:

True. It wasn't just The Mountain that he wanted. But, he got something. Something is better than nothing. And if anything, I think The Mountain was probably his largest target seeing as he was the one who actually did it. Even if Tywin gave the order, Mountain is a mean-ass motherfucker. I don't think he needed much convincing.

Also, the actress who played Ellaria was perfect during the Crunch scene. Imo.
