Well, you just list the ones you want, but at this point if you are under level 9 you mostly use 2, and above you can use 3 at this point in time
You can't be higher than level 10 at the moment at this stage.
There is the ability to swap out your skills. Because you have a limited number of slots, be aware which ones you have equipped during certain times, if I see something odd, I will probably make note of it and tell you about it here. Just like Jangel and his level 5 from inefficient number of enemies killed.

Thanks for the explanation ninja. Can I just clarify? Is that just sword skills or does that extend to passives, combat and non-combat skills too?

That refers to passives, combat and non-combat skills
Sword skills are a subset of skills to your weapon skill that is equipped in a skill slot
So, you equip, for example, one-handed straight sword
That is one skill slot used
and you have one more for light armor expertise or whatever it is called
With the one-handed straight sword equipped, you can use the one-handed straight sword Sword Skills, such as <<Vertical>>, <<Horizontal>> and <<Serration Wave>>. As the skill gets higher (which can be rough leveling, no need to explain it going up levels, just be reasonable somehow) then you can use stronger sword skills.

Edit: Ugh... Retracted the CS I put up. I keep finding new and conflicting info in the various threads for this rp. Turns out i hadn't checked the character bin yet and when I did I found I had cloned a lot of very unique character traits. Sorry. I'm sure I'll make sense of it all at some point.

Edit 2: Pretty sure I've got everything now. Should I start at level one or may i start at a higher level (if so please specify which)?

In real life Tsukiko is confined to a wheelchair, unable to move her lower body after surviving a car accident. In SAO, she can do all the things other people do, and more. She feels that if it was only her, she would never want to leave Aincrad, but she will beat the game if it means everybody else will escape.
Personality: Tsukiko doesn't talk much to strangers, so little in fact that people who don't know her think she's mute. Despite her standoffish behavior, she's kind and understanding, but extremely strong willed.

Love how it took chukkle all of thirty seconds to put that together and it is taking me days. I guess that is the result of multi-tasking on my part. Thanks for the offer Little Ninja but the problem was actually in my background and I hadn't at all referenced the levels and such yet. My background as it turned out was remarkably similar to Liferush's (and now chukkleheads) awesome character in that irl he couldn't walk so I am going to wait until I am at home with at least an hour free to come up with something more original or at least something I am happy with.

I changed the name. I know I didn't need the explanation, that's just my favorite reason for having it (it was part of my first SAO character. She also carries a notebook where she's written down monster spawn rates for eachfield near each town, among othere things)

Yep. I took mine down when I noticed the similarity (I'd checked the character sheets on the front page but not in the CS bin as it turns out) and am reworking it at the moment. It's a cool character concept and so seems to be pretty popular but I prefer to avoid clashes. Cool CS btw Liferusher.

actually it's very little like your character, besides that they both wield heavy equipment and there's something wrong with their legs. Unlike your character, Tsukiya hasn't been able to walk at all for most of her life, and is almost entirely opposite in terms of personality.

So how do I accept the profession quest? Do I just say "I want to be abreast tamer" and poof I'm a beast tamer?
