[High-Casual] AU (Or not) Persona RP

Well, I've been getting into the Persona series again and re-found my love for them, and after so many tries at Persona RP which I have either dropped out because of RL situations or just plainly lost interest, I think that now that I am getting some more free time than before, I'd try my hand at hosting my own. So, I wanna see who else would be interested in a Persona RP and also sort out some details for the RP. I am aiming to have this RP in a high-casual-ish way, so acceptable grammar is a must, as well as no one liners or few liners.

Ideas, ideas. Well, I don't want this RP to move all by my hand and might, so for whoever interested, then please voice out any ideas you may have. As for me, here are some of the ideas I have, please notice that when RPing in a pre-set universe, such as Persona, I don't like having canon characters meddling in, so this is more of an AU, as stated in the title. Note: Some of this ideas aren't entirely my own, so any credit goes to the original author of this who may or may not be around anymore (Sorry, but I can't remember the username of some of them).

Persona 3 S.E.E.S

Well, mostly as the title says, we are in Tatsumi Port Island, go into Tartarus, have some badass Evokers and the story revolves around the group S.E.E.S, now formed entirely from our OC's. Many aspects of this, such as The Fall or related things of it may change. Heck, I may even go with a different storyline with just the above listed canon elements being in play. Also, no Wild Card user here. Social Links are here, but they help develop your Persona rather than giving you more Personas. We would have a calendar system to tell us when is a full moon and everything. (Credit for Social Links goes to Lionheart)

Persona 4 Investigation Group

Set in Inaba or maybe other city, right when the murders start. Our characters and their Personas set out in a quest to try and stop whoever is commiting them. Only canon elements would be the TV World, the Midnight Channel and the other selves, who would be entirely up to the player when we confront them. Teddie, or someone like Teddie my come into play if players so want. Social Links and calendar system also apply here. Again, no Wild card user.

Persona: A New Tale (Personal Favorite)

Set in a city where there's been an increasing rate of people with a particular mental disorder. Due to the little information about it, it has named after the discoverer of a particularly similar mental disorder, this is The Lhermitte Effect. An approach scientists and medics have tried to look into is that this is caused by the constant emission of airborne fumes from the factories in the city that have affected directly the brains of some of the individuals on the city. The Lhermitte Effect causes heavy visual and auditive hallucinations, which cause a violent behavior on the subject. This hallucinations have been described by patients as "walking through an extremely long hall with many warped things on it and odd, blobby creatures trying to attack me". However, the approach of the doctors is far from reality. The cause of the now famous Lhermitte Effect are the Shadows that come from the world reflecting the human mind. They can slip into the real world when the 'hour' comes. It is something unpredictable and completely random, and whatsmore, people who can't perceive it are the true victims of the Lhermitte Effect and people who can in fact perceive it, are attacked relentlessly not only by the regular shadows, but also by their extremely deathly Shadow Selves, but its objective isn't to simply get you to accept it, no, it is to kill you and become 'you' in the real world. There have been Shadow Selves who have accomplished such and are slowly warping this world into something like their own.

This idea is a collaboration between me and Noel. Social Links and Evokers will be a thing here. No Wild Card user and everyone gets only one Persona, which may evolve.The Velvet Room will also play its role here, and Evokers will not be only guns, though if you want it to be like that, then go ahead. No calendar system here. We'd most likely go with a Japanese High School setting, unless you didn't want to.

I'll be a little more flexible with Arcana, but still, no more than two people per Arcana, except for the last idea. So, if you're planning to call dibs on one, then do it now. Here's a list of Arcana, so I can keep track and so people can see which Arcana has already been taken.

Original Personas are allowed! Just be sure you stay within the range of mythological figures OR be extremely creative when you create your Persona and make my jaw drop in awe and I may allow an original Persona.

Interested, been wanting to RP persona for a long time but every time shes noticed one it ended up not getting off the ground.

Could try and help with co-gming stuff too if you need one, thought of making a persona rp a few times in the past but never did it so could dig up some of the ideas from that to try and help cobble stuff together. Plus she just loves world building, so theres that...

Anywho, as for general input, would think a new story(like the third idea) would be more fun then just rehashing p3 or p4. Would say not having a wild card would be the best bet in general as well, in order to keep players on more even footing. No huge opinion on multiple persona per arcana for all characters, might be a little complicated allowing everyone multiple personas though. Having a single persona per user(and maybe an evolution at significant development points) could allow for it to be more symbolically related to the character as well. Either way could probably work though.

If you do end up going the way of p3/p4 AU she'll just put in a vote for p3 since thats her favorite.

Anywho, love the hell out of persona, would love to actually, finally get to RP it.

She can also volunteer her hand at making some pretty graphics if need be /photoshop nerd

To be honest, I also like more the idea of having a whole new storyline, but as said before, I don't really have what you'd call a concrete idea on how to make it, so I am accepting any ideas you may have, so feel free to post them here or send them to me in a PM. Also, having a co-GM will be a huge help, due to, well, college some times going full crazy on me and having little free time, so, yeah... :P Oh, and with only one Persona per person, I was thinking to let them have the three stages of Personas as in Persona 4, ya know, Awakened Persona, Ultimate Persona and things of the like, obviously followed by an event in which they have a growth of heart.

Yep, though I would ask you to add a Persona Backstory for it, since, well every Persona is some notable mythical figure, but if you want a completely original Persona, then please add a backstory that seems acceptable for both the Arcana and your character.

Evoker: A gold fountain pen, which belonged to her father.
Personality:
Tsukiko is upbeat, a bit forceful and extremely nosy. An observant person can tell that all her energy is just a front to cover up a darkness deep inside her heart, which even she isn't fully aware of. Belonging to the school's journalism club, Tsukiko is a talented investigator and doesn't always use what she finds in the paper. Some people are afraid she'll use the secrets she gathers for blackmail, but so far that hasn't happened.
Backstory:
If by some miracle you can get Tsukiko talking about her past, you'd find out that her father died when she was 13 years old. Like him, she follows a career in journalism and keeps his pen as a good luck charm. Her mother trained her in swordsmanship, especially western practices like Longswords. Beyond that, nobody knows much about her before she came to school one day.

I'm working on the other two sections, but wanted to get this out before someone claimed Emperor.

It'd be amazing if the two Rp's could somehow be joined, but I'm guessing there's too many differences.

I think it's unanimous that we're probably going with the third plot.
I really want to mess around with my character's shadow. It's going to be soooo much fun to write a character's shadow. They're such a good way to flesh out a character's personalities, too, since you have to target their weaknesses and flaws with a shadow.

Covered from head to toe in gold leafed armor, Zeus strikes an impressive figure. Wielding a bow almost as large as he is, the massive Persona can fire lightning bolts instead of arrows.

Strengths and Weaknesses:
Absorbs- Elec
Weak- Wind, Dark

Shadow Self Appearance:
Looks like Tsukiko, but does everything she can to draw attention to herself. She wears a silky, bright red dress and a red veil over her face. Despite the color, the outfit looks like something one would wear to a funeral.
Shadow True Appearance:
A giant, faceless white humanoid, with it's right arm swelled to a much larger size than it's left. The lower body doesn't change very much, making it walk on it's hands. It attacks with it's giant arm, shaking the ground with each hit.
Shadow Self Personality: Shadow Tsukiko has no problem telling everybody her, and by extension the Real Tsukiko's, secrets, but she plays around the subject first. She is incredibly dramatic and wants everybody around to have their eyes on her.
