As mentioned above in the title, this roleplay is based off of a popular Australian movie called: "Tomorrow When the War Began". For those of you who have not seen/ heard of it before, as well as those who have seen it and may have forgotten what it is about, I have written the plot line below so that you may have a better understanding of what this movie is all about. Below that I have written a short post that will be used as an introduction to the roleplay when we have enough people and have started up, keep in mind that this is only brief and may have more added/ be altered slightly when the time comes. Please, read through the below:
Plot:
Seven teenage friends from a small Australian town go on a camping trip to be with nature and to have a bit of fun before school starts up for another year. A few days into their trip though they catch sight of a military aircraft flying overhead, thinking nothing of it the group continue their trip without a second thought. However, what they didn't know was that their country was being invaded by another. Returning home, the group discover that they are now at war. With no training, barely any weapons, and only the hope that they can save their families; the group of young Australians band together to fight the enemy.
Introduction to the Roleplay:
Reaching out she adjusted the camera sitting in front of her, her soft forest green eyes gliding over the small screen to the side of it that showed her own reflection. She sat back staring at the screen for a moment as her hands came up swooping her long chocolate brown ponytail over her shoulder her fingers twisting the locks as she took a moment thinking of what she had to do next. "Okay... Uhm. Well I guess the first thing I should do is introduce myself..." Biting her soft pink lower lip she closed her eyes taking a deep breath letting it out slowly as she lowered her hands to her lap readying herself to tell her story to those who were going to listen, "For whoever finds this video, my name is Lyndle Chase. My friends and I just wanted to enjoy a trip before school began again for the year... I-It was my idea..." She lowered her gaze to the side for a moment her face looking pained before her eyes flicked up making eye contact with the camera once again, "That was five months ago. We-... We didn't ask for this. None of this is our fault but now it's up to us... Everyone is relying on us... Heh, how stupid of me. You don't even know what I'm talking about. Well, where should I start?" She pursed her lips together glancing around herself thoughtfully before returning back to where she began, "I guess I should start right back at the beginning..."
What I'm thinking:
Well, now that you know a bit more about the roleplay and the movie that it is based off of, here is what I am thinking. The story begins, like she says, at the beginning. Before anything happens to the country. The young group of teenagers planning and then going on a camping trip to finish off the summer. I need six or seven people to join me in this roleplay.
