Name:Corporal/Chaplain Maximilian Mu
Gender:Male
Class:Guardian
Role:Ground-Team
Race:Mu
Race Description:One of the newest races to the galaxy at large. Their community was equivalent to the peak of the Greek era with a republic before they were visited upon by beings from another world (open ended for anyone to claim) they had a very mineral rich world for higher applications but lacked much of the material for anything beyond iron age works.
The visitors from beyond took advantage of the uninformed species and named them 'Mu' as a kind of joke they didn't get beyond the sound they make.
They are a short lived species of only fifty years for an average lifespan, the gravity of their world is roughly twice that of the universal standard gravity (earth gravity in example here) with a dense muscle and bone structure that takes a greater toll on their hearts, leaving most to die of a heart attack in the middle of heavy labor.
The last few hundred years of alien influence has turned their entire society into a mining culture, the education provided by the alien species has been solely directed to make them better miners and heavy workers, as such mining function has influenced the form their technology takes.
Breathes: Default with a need for a stronger O2 content than most
Background:Max has lived a plain life as far as his people are concerned, he was born to loving parents who both worked for the mines like the rest of his family. From the time of five to seventeen, he earned his degree in geology like everyone else (average college doctorate takes 8-12 years, he didn't have to learn any fluff classes like history, foreign language mathematics beyond the bare minimum needed.)
When he graduated, he had the choice to become a miner like his family or join the army. Initially he declined the army, but he was drafted all the same, when he voiced his complaint, they came up with the idea to make him a chaplain in the army so that he was not a member of the front line. He was dispatched with a sabotage team intended to paint weak-points in enemy vessels to be exploited, a 'clerical error' had them dropped into the middle of the front lines.
the sabotage team did well on the field, they got their solider out of him and they became the first anti-tank unit. This commendation has put a gold star to the side of his file which is what got him placed on this particular ship a few years ago. When it came to him becoming a chaplain, his official denomination is 'The Church of the Perfect Self' which espouses understanding one's body fully and modifying the exterior to match the interior. Many take this excuse to go cybernetic assassins with religious underpinnings or tattooed sideshows, Max simply powerlifts and exercises to maximize his bodies results in a generically lower gravity environment to his homeworld.
Personality:Truly a gentle giant. He fights out of need to protect others, not out of a want for carnage. He believes in the full potential for everyone and it is their duty to perfect themselves no matter how it may be expressed.
Character Description:Three feet tall and three hundred pounds of solid muscle. His whole body is a dark brown coarse fur, when not in power armor, he wears only a combat vest with a Utility kilt. For religious ceremonies he wears nothing more than a black toga.
Proficiencies:Heavy weapons specialization
Pistol
Healing (critical)
Geo-science
Religion
equipmentArmor: a powersuit designed to double his physical strength, this combined with his species natural strength results in a being four times as strong as a human power lifter at half the height. It also comes with a shield projector to keep his people safe while he lays down the suppressive firepower. Due to his limited height, his shield is half the standard size but he has had the output adjusted to double the protective nature. This often allows him to be the cover others take during a firefight
Heavy: A shoulder mounted harmonic cannon(seen above) based on the moss scale, it pulverizes materials set to a specific hardness leaving the other materials unharmed so that the surrounding minerals can be scooped away like wet clay. When used on an organic opponent, it causes no direct damage but it can reduce the skeleton or exoskeleton to the consistency of cartilage for secondary dismissal.
Medium: A belt-fed rapid fire
scattergun hurling buckshot at 3 rounds a second is more than enough to pun an enemy position and eventually tear apart light fortification. This is weapon meant to control the battlefield, not rule it like a lord of war.
Light: His
Sidearm is based on a seismic charge imaging technology. the process involves driving an explosive round deep into the ground then detonating the round with the sensor array set to read the various densities of materials in the concussion zone to prevent needless mining. When used in combat, it functions as an armor piercing remote explosive round. There are a few flaws to the design, for one each round must be detonated in succession, no firing six shots followed by a huge boom. Second, the round is not sensitive to radio frequencies until after the round is fired, there has been times where an unfortunate Mu solider fired his gun into an area under a blanket frequency jammer and the round explodes the moment fired, still in the barrel with ruinous results.
Melee: When forced to hand to hand, he uses a
folding tool with a telescoping handle so he can use both hands as a pole arm to deliver powerful blows with his whole body.
