I don't understand the desire to drive the United States to be their enemy right out of the gate. Even if the South does win the US will most likely be much stronger in the end over the CSA and the US will just seek out to be friends with their enemies.

Yeah, but some of their steam boats at least could get there by the end of the year I think. Do they have telegraphs to India yet??

I'm not so sure that Russia taking part of the west coast would be feasible. The cost of it would probably outweigh any benefit. That and they don't have a large Pacific fleet.

Well considering I have colonies in Canada, in the Caribbean Sea, in the North part of South America....I think I have something of a naval presence there. The whole USA control of those waters have not happened yet.

About as insane as declaring war in the support of rebels two days after the war starts rofl.

Well I could attempt to bolster up a military fleet to help the confederate if I can move south from Alaska and assault California it would be costly and kinda pointless though but if the confederacey would front some of the costs but then again it could go both ways of the Union was up for offering a deal

We haven't even reached one round of orders yet....and I'm more entertained by this than most of the books I've read in the past year. This has me cracking up and completely amused with everything that is occurring. Just wanna say thanks everyone for what is shaping up to be one of the most interesting/great starts to an RP I've had.

Then again russia could shift her alliances to the Union which would do to miss off the French and British even more especially after the whole Crimean war so unless they offer some sort of respectable return on my assistance then in which case I would gladly help the Union and I need to start dealing with the Chinese and the japanese as well seeing as I share a close proximity with them

I haven't officially declared war either. I'm putting down an unlawful rebellion. No act of Congress needed for that.
